Born to housecat parents, Rusty is a pampered kitten who longs for an adventure beyond his familiar neighborhood. A late-night encounter offers to fulfill their dreams… at the cost of giving up his cozy life. 

Warned away by an ethereal friend but drawn in by whispers on the wind, Rusty is initiated into a “colony” of wildcats and renamed Burningpaw. Life with the Growling Thunder Colony is tough and only gets tougher when evidence from two old deaths resurface, leading Burningpaw to believe they were anything but “accidents.” 

Broken trust, broken bonds, broken codes: With terrible secrets unraveling themselves around her, Burningpaw must decide if she’s willing to put her life on the line to save the four Colonies and her friends within or let a new era of fire reign, and witness the whole forest burn.

Hey, I'm Firestar/Toast/Honeydew. I'm a queer POC, 18+ and I use any pronouns. I'm focusing this blog on "rewriting" the first 5 arcs of Warriors (Dawn of the Clans, The Prophecies Begin, The New Prophecy, Power of Three, and Omen of the Stars). This is a passion project that I'm also using to flex my writing skills + a stress relief.

I'm not aiming to make this rewrite better than the main series but rather explore what could've been. That includes exploring characters both big and small, less copy-pasted villains, and interesting lore. I hope I can achieve these goals and I hope this rewrite interests you!
