Countdown Prompt: “Choose your favorite character”

Me, an emotional fool:

I love all of them equally and it was too hard to choose just one. So instead of choosing one camper, I will provide one headcanon for each of them. Behold some ethically raised, locally sourced, sustainably farmed, handpicked headcanons!

Darius: He only plays dinosaur related video games. There’s a convoluted reason behind this, but that’s an essay for another day. Basically, the only reason Darius is into video games is because he’s found ones with dinosaurs in them and beached out from there. He’s at the right age to have grown up with the Fossil Fighters franchise. Those were his first dino games and he learned about a lot of obscure species through them. Because of this, he’s not to familiar with mainstream games, which is probably why his brother didn’t have a lot of faith in him beating the VR game. He tends to switch up his teams in Fossil Fighters and Fossil Fighters: Champions because he doesn’t want to seem like he’s favoring certain vivosaurs over others, but in Fossil Fighters: Frontier he mains a Toba because it has good stats and he doesn’t care too much about that game. And his starter vivosaur for the first game was a Tarbo.

Brooklynn: She likes anime and she cosplays. It’s something she does in her personal time and she’s never made a video about it, but she loves it nonetheless. She probably started with Sailor Moon and enjoys magic girl animes (she seems like the type who wouldn’t mind having cool powers herself). She probably does more subtle cosplays like wearing an outfit with the color scheme of a certain character or shopping for clothes that a character might wear. She doesn’t go to conventions, but she has an anonymous tumblr blog where she talks about theories and headcanons, but she doesn’t have a lot of followers. She has an OC or two, but she can’t draw well enough to share them, but when she finds out that Yaz is an artist!!

Kenji: He is a theatre kid. This was completely against his will. His dad, being an important man of business and presumably affiliated with entertainment, has probably made Kenji go to a lot of performances. And for some reason musicals stuck with him and he jumps at any opportunity to go see a show. Not like he’d ever let on how much he actually enjoys them though. There’s something about how connected you feel to the actors on stage. You truly get to be a part of each character’s story. It’s the time when he feels the least alone. Musicals are easier for him to connect with because he can memorize the songs and better understand what’s going on. It can be hard for him to catch spoken words (he gets distracted) so having context for the plot makes it easier for him to focus.

Sammy: Growing up on a ranch that supplied meat for Jurassic World meant that she didn’t get too attached to the animals. She’s aware of their rights to quality of life (hence why she wants to free Grim in season two), but she is very aware of theirs fates. The reason she names a Sinoceratops and refuses to feed it to the Baryonyx is because that dinosaur holds a special place in her heart. If Darius had suggested the stegosauruses, she would’ve gone along with it. The Sinoceratops however, was the animal that she spoke to when she finally connected with Yaz; it was their binding moment. It’d feel like wrong to feed a symbol of their friendship to a hungry carnivore. The equivalent of a parent eating a macaroni necklace their kid made for them. Any other dinosaur is fair game though.

Yasmina: She watches a lot of horror movies. She’s not easily scared and gore doesn’t bother her so she can power marathon a whole franchise and still get a good night sleep before a race. HOWEVER. She is not your horror movie buddy. She will endlessly criticize every bad special effect, stupid plot hole, and unrealistic character decision throughout the entire movie. It’s her way of engaging with the media. She does enjoy them, but she has to analyze every bit of a film in order to have an opinion on it. She also talks at the screen and yells at characters. Because of this, she has to wait until things come out on dvd so she can enjoy the movie without disrupting moviegoers. Sammy loves her commentary though and they have weekly movie nights where Yaz introduces her to the most obscure and ridiculous horror movies the world has to offer.

Ben: He’s a Pokémon kid 100%. Pokémon are the cuter, less dangerous versions of their real world counterparts. It’s a safe place where he can be in his own world where he’s the hero and everything is under control. I’m gonna level with you, I don’t know much about Pokémon. But a game you can play on your own, where you befriend adorable creatures, safely travel to cool places, and become a master; that sounds like the type of thing that Ben wouldn’t gravitate towards. It’s calming, low risk competition. And you get to collect animal friends. Also explains why he immediately bonds with Bumpy after getting over the initial shock of being covered in dino goo. Correct if I’m wrong on any of this tho.

I wrote this about 2 weeks ago, but decided to keep it in my drafts, in case something changes, but...yeah, I’ve made up my mind about how I am gonna run this blog. This will hardly affect you, if you’re reading this, it’s just mostly for me...and for you to know, I guess?

Some explaining?

Currently, I am focusing way too much on Tyrell when I want to RP and since I hardly have any interactions here, it is so difficult...difficult enough for me to want to delete or rather to just leave my boy all together. I know it’s silly, but you know, sometimes when I post stuff and I don’t get any notes whatsoever --I KNOW ITS SILLY-- I am just like...what if I wasn’t here? Would anyone notice? Probably not. Which is a feeling I’ve been having for a while now and I shouldn’t because 1. some people would notice, I know. 2. it’s silly, cause this is about RP, not popularity contest or me telling you guys about my life.  Do I wish that the Mr Robot RPC would be larger? Yes, I will always dream of the day I will get to write with active blogs and get memes (even though me is an idiot sometimes and I don’t answer everything). But sadly I can’t do anything about that. I am trying to expand a bit and interact with non-mr robot people, and thankfully I have some people. Although it still feels a bit lonely here sometimes.

Anyway, not gonna ramble anymore.

So 

I am just gonna try distancing myself from this blog a bit, because I do feel like I am tiring people a bit (not gonna lie, that person that sent that thing on that blog being the only ‘criticism’ I have gotten in a while, did affect me, and I don’t wanna bother anyone) and if you’re in a very small fandom, you’ll understand how it can be draining too. What does that mean? not sure tbh. but maybe I am gonna try to: 1. not to post any ooc posts. 2.rarely reblog memes (I am still gonna send tho) or ask for those. if you do want so send me something...you are more than welcome to do it 3. focusing on current stuff? no starter calls or things for a while. 4.gonna post some HCs for me to look at in the future, 5. actually try to spend time in another blog (but when muse is strong it’s hard, but gonna try)...So, I’ll be less on here (and that’s the thing, I don’t think it will actually matter).
