I really hope there's a line in Season 4 saying that they once again performed the ritual to separate the Samadhi Fire into pieces, and then gave them to Nezha to protect. Because I think Mei keeping the Samadhi Fire is a terrible writing decision that will just cause problems in the future.
The Samadhi Fire is capable of destroying the universe, making Mei way too overpowered. She should never lose a fight ever again. Also, why would Nezha allow that if he's so adamant on not using the Fire and is fully aware of the danger? There's a reason why Wukong is absent, captured, or depowered throughout the series, because an overpowered character can just fix everything.
But that's my hope. Please let this be so. Please.

Without Reparations
Lupita Eyde-Tucker
“In 2015, the Spanish Parliament [. . .] enacted a law inviting the Sephardim—Jews who trace their roots to Spain—to return.” —from “Spain’s Attempt to Atone for a 500-Year-Old Sin” The Atlantic, Sept. 21, 2019
Land slit like a throat, life poured out like gold coins on cobblestone. Confessions pulled from tongues like toenails off toes. Piled with scorched scrolls: our paschal pyre,
confessions extracted like gold, coins swallowed then picked from the coals. Nothing sacred but pyres piled, a pathetic penance, my hands washed with my blood, an act of faith?
Is nothing sacred but my ashes, picture of oblivion, my name oblivion? My faith forgets its name, washed with blood, my act of courage or escape. Am I nothing? What is nothing?
Oblivion forgets my name, my faith the thing they cannot take, the gold I protect with my life. What is courage or escape? It is nothing I can lose or forsake, they took everything that tied me to this place.
They cannot take my faith, I protect it like gold pulled from tongues like toenails off toes, there’s nothing left to tie me to this place. Land slit like a throat, gold poured out.

fun discovery from today's internet rabbit hole:
the first lesbian magazine published in the US, Vice Versa (1947-48), was entirely hand-typed by one Edythe Eyde (better known by her pen name Lisa Ben - yes, that IS an anagram for lesbian). she worked as a secretary with a ton of spare time on her hands, and her boss would tell her he didn't care what she was doing so long as she "looked busy"... so she decided to use her free time to type out copies of a home-made periodical for lesbians, writing most of the content - editorials, book/film reviews, poetry, short stories, and more - herself!
overall, the magazine ran for 9 issues, 16 hand-typed copies of which lisa would mail to friends (well, until one of them advised her she could be arrested for sending "obscene" materials) and distribute at lesbian bars :)

you have a point about fandoms as a whole having a sexist lean but isn't mei is literally one of the most popular characters in the fandom and dragonfruit one of the most popular ships in the fandom? It's one of the top 5 most written about ships on ao3 if you remove self insert stuff.
So I'll preface this with I only have experience with the lmk fandom on tumblr.
But like, it's 90% shadowpeach stuff (with maybe MK as a third wheel). I know this, you know this. If you look through the "lego monkie kid" tag right now Ne Zha has more content related to him and only him than Mei does—she's usually gonna be thrown in with dragonfruit and traffic light trio (though, admittedly the lmk fandom has a problem of viewing characters outside of shipping in general). For every 1 Mei fanart there's 1 piece of Ao Lie fanart to match despite their vast differences in screen time. Like, am I insane? Am I insane for thinking it's the sexism?

Clarissa Eydes's story is going to be told in "Do You See What I See?" so spoilers for that story under the cut.
Clarissa is an unfortunate girl. Unable to use any shielding, her mind often overwhelms others, seeing things in pictures or her mind wandering and projecting her thoughts unwillingly into other people's minds. She's finally reported about when she moves away from her home and starts college. Her fears are founded in an incident that got her out of public school in the first place, something she completely buried.
This is only found out by Norma through interacting with Clarissa and getting to know her. Letting Clarissa tell stories about her home and family and doing the same in response to reassure her.
Her ex-friend had bullied her to brinks of Clarissa already self-isolating, but Clarissa though something awful and horrible in response to one particular denial.
Fueled by a counselor who told Clarissa that "this girl bullies you because she sees herself as ugly and she hates your beauty... what with her thick glasses and greasy hair..." and Clarissa thinking that as young kids (3rd grade) no one would have a way to do this thought one thought to herself...
I wish you would just kill yourself.
Clarissa's bully did so. and Clarissa's psychic powers unlocked as she kept thinking "I did that. I did that. I did that. I did that."
Clarissa's mental break came as she had gone to her bully's funeral. And her parents immediately took her out of the school in response to both the bullying coming to light, and Clarissa's powers now affecting those she interacted with.
Her mind locked the memory away, Clarissa took time in home school, but never learned how to naturally shield. Going to college, there were thoughts that were hers that ended up in other people's minds. So Clarissa stopped going to classes physically.
It was only then when the Psychonauts were called.
