Historical musical bandwagon

A lot of people task about how Hamilton started the whole historical musical trend, and did such a great job at it that now other shoes (six, epic, hadestown) are jumping on the bandwagon. In the case of epic, I totally agree, it's not great and seems rather on the nose. Hadestown is a masterpiece and not as relevant, since it's less history and more mythology (so's epic I know, but epic is more of a retelling of a history, even if it's a made up history, than a single concentrated myth)

Six however, I will not accept this slander of. Six and Hamilton are each brilliant in their own way because they each use their role as a historical retelling as a central and fundamental aspect of their themes and messaging. Not to mention the narrative, which relies on the historical element to function.

Hamilton is a story about legacy. It's a message that is beaten over the audience's head again and again and again. Hamilton's primary motivation is to be remembered, to build something that's gonna outlive him. His life is angled towards his death and his legacy is at the core of every decision he makes. The ending leaves us with the idea that while it's impossible to know for sure, if you with hard and try to do good, you will be remembered, or at least have lasting positive impacts, on birth those close to you, and the world at large.

Six meanwhile, is a story about historical revisionism. It's a historemix, and that's literally the point. These are stories you likely have not heard before, and if not certainly not from these persoectives. It's a feminist framing of history, revealing the truth of the past to encourage the audience to reflect on our own world and the inequalities therein. The exwives get their moment to shine, just as it has been denied of them in history books and recounts. Notably, Henry doesn't appear once, this isn't his story anymore. It has been reclaimed in all it's sparkly splendour. And it is fabulous.

im not one to make predictions for shows like this, where the journey is so fucking great i cant really imagine a destination that would fix or ruin it for me, especially about things i dont have an opinion about but i gotta say, they've done a really good job having little scenes about ted leaving or staying without making it a storyline that we feel has basically concluded already. and im sorry to some of yall for saying it but i dont feel like they've decitedly build up any short of romance involving ted, it's not that were they to show up on my screen id feel like they came out of nowhere, it's just that by making this a show mainly about friendship they can do the, somewhat realistic thing, of friendships or friends with benefits or exwives becoming romantic interests without having that be the focus of their interractions. So i wouldnt be surprised if none of them or any of the became a thing, yeah maybe for a show that likes to tie a million things together fifteen texts to someone who's having a romantic night with a stranger might feel a little unresolved but for all thei callbacks i think its normal to both create a tiny bit of will they wont they without that actually be the point, like they did with ted;s ex coming to visit this season, it was more about ted dealing with this new version of them and her noticing that he's more open to being vulnerable now than it was to create a will they wont they thing even though it came off that way. they like to be serious ad they like to joke around and i wouldnt be surprised if they made a joke of all the various potential romances being romances like sassy did when ted asked her out because none of the various "arcs" we've seen for any of them would conclude with romancing ted, just like ted's wouldn't by romancing sassy.

A NCIS / criminal minds fic (maybe even Hannibal too) where rossi married Gibb's ex wife rather than fornell.

I feel like it makes sense with the tragic amount of exwives both rossi and Gibbs have.

My finals are almost finished and I have many ideas, I don't even care that I'm primarily a marvel account I have finally struck inspiration for the first time in ages.
