i was gonna pitch an idea of a scene in sonic 3 involving shadow and how it would differ depending on whether eggman makes a return or if stone goes in solo. only to find out the moment i’m thinking of doesn’t actually exist and i imagined shadow the hedgehog lore. i still want to write it tho i feel like they can alter shadows story a bit considering they probably want to keep him alive from the get-go this time lmao

#not art #fab.txt #sonic the hedgehog #shadow #i swear to god there was a lore moment in sa2 where shadow realises that the memory of maria telling him to kill everyone was fabricated #and he realised that eggman was just using him and that’s when he switched sides to briefly work against eggman #i SWEAR something like that happened. #anyway the scene i’m thinking of would be a whole thing where shadow realises he’s been duped #if it’s just stone they have this whole conversation that ends with shadow understanding stones motive #but still parting ways cause he feels like if stone lies to him now he may keep lying to him in the future #like the whole thing ends very neutrally with just a sense of betrayal on shadows end and regret on stones #whereas if eggman comes back the whole conversation is just #‘so you were just /using/ me to get to sonic??’ ‘…yeessss?’ ‘……fuck you dude.’ and then shadow just Leaves #i really really want to write this but knowing it didn’t actually happen kinda dampens that desire lmao #evidently i need to catch up on my shadow the hedgehog lore
