i'm rly trying to grasp the perspective of aphobia from within our own community but it just isn't fathomable to me. like how can you oppress a group like this after being oppressed yourself? it makes us on the aro or ace spectrum feel unwanted in a place we're supposed to be safe and that fucking sucks. we just wanna live and be supported by the people around us and instead we're being told we don't belong in our own community. you can't take that away just because we don't fit the exact type of different you are. that's just as bigoted a line of thinking as the people who oppress you. i'm actually begging y'all to take a step back and actually think abt it because it shouldn't be this hard to accept people.
