The story was inspired by both the amazing writers @cartoonfangirl1218 and @Lauraschiller.

Despite years of trying to hide their true past, Esteban and Hortensia know more about each other than the other can guess.

When Esteban helped Shuriki to invade, Dona just came to the city to work after her family had lost everything in the flood. She was still an assistant and they constantly quarreled. But the spark soon grew into an affair. When Shuriki found out, Esteban broke up with Dona to protect her. His family’s magical portrait is under a constant threat by Shuriki and he cannot bear giving the Sorceress Queen even more power over him.

Dona emerses herself in gossip and shopping as she rises in rank and money and her rivalry with Esteban becomes harsher and harsher.

During their bet about Naomi’s Quinceanera  she could not stop her curiosity and watched Esteban and Naomi practicing dancing. She knows that there is no romance between the Chancellor and the young Council Member, but Dona cannot stop the sudden jealousy. If things had worked out differently, she could have been the one to dance at the ball with Esteban now.

The party turns into a personal fiasco as Esteban braggs with Naomi’s success and a hurt Dona flirts with Julio out of revenge.

When Esteban runs away from his banishment with Ash, Dona meets them in the forest and accuses him that he always runs away from his problems.

They get in a big argument that finally brings the burried feelings to the light and at Elena’s coronation they are at the start of a second chance.

The Final Fantasy pixel remasters on console added the ability to turn off encounters...... Bravely Default's impact

#ok I like don't wanna SAY Bravely is the first to do this feature #but like. I cannot think of any rpgs before Bravely Default that let you just fully turn off random encounters #a lot of them will have stuff like repels in Pokémon or the Estoma spell in megaten #but I mean like you can just press the r button and fully turn it off #no using items or MP or money or anything #I just wanna put that disclaimer so I look like a bit less of an ass if there IS an example I'm not thinking of #and I also don't count if like. the enemies show up on the overworld #and you CAN dodge them and avoid encounters that way #cuz in my experience you can never just. dodge them ALL the time

Cactus (probablemente del género Cereus) en el Parque Nacional Los Cardones.

Los desiertos xéricos del norte y sur de nuestra America son el hábitat natural de una de las criaturas más fascinantes del reino planta: el cactus 🌵.

Observar un cactus es contemplar toda una suma de adaptaciones a este ambiente hostil: sin agua y con extrema radiación solar ☀️. ¡No tienen hojas! Así se resguardan lo más posible de la desecasión. Los cactus son crasulaceas, tienen partido su ciclo respiratorio a la mitad. Dicho mal y pronto: inhalan durante la noche y fotosintetizan durante el día con sus estomas (aperturas respiratorias) cerrados. Esto les permite retener el agua.

Pero quizá lo más fascinante de los cactus es como defienden este agua que acumulan y resguardan. Los cactus son castillos medievales, son laberintos intrincados que separan a los animales del agua.

La más obvia son esas dolorosas espinas. Duele de solo verlas. Y son a su vez fascinante: los tallos de los cactus suelen ser acanalados o estriados con una cantidad de costillas que corresponde a un número en la serie de Fibonacci (2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, etc.). Esto les permite expandirse y contraerse fácilmente para absorber rápidamente el agua después de la lluvia, seguido de retención durante largos períodos de sequía.

Abajo de las espinas está la aleloquimica: cada cactus es un cóctel de metabólicos secundarios, sustancias químicas “sueltas” que hacen de la carne del cactus una sustancia incomible, llena de alcaloides, terperpenos y ácidos grasos poli-insaturados. Estás sustancias surgieron seguramente como una defensa contra los insectos, pero también operan contra el sistema nervioso de los vertebrados como noso3. Las culturas de la región desarrollaron prácticas religiosas entorno a los efectos alucinógenos de ciertas especies de cactus y luego prácticas de dominación cultural sobre éstas.

Y, por supuesto, las moscas 🪰, así como otros tantos grupos de insectos resilientes y diversos, han conseguido superar y aprovecharse de estas sustancias, generando todo un nuevo ecosistema sostenido por este “escenario químico”.

are you using fusion spells for p2is? the encounter rate is way too high without estoma, but when you spam the fusion spells it gets a lot easier to deal with since encounters only last a turn or two

Estoma - Alone On Christmas

Thank you to the crossover MEP by @beautifuldreamer8783   for the song inspiration (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bY3C...) and to Laura Schiller for the christmas party and the cheese stall idea!  :D

 PLOT:

Knowing that Dona will be alone on Navidad but also enjoying how much his family chaos will annoy her, Esteban invites her to the private party on Noche Buena.

Both still enjoy the teasing but they also wish each other things that they would hate for themselves on Navidad (overexcited family conversations with Isa and James for Esteban and last minute shopping for Dona) that the other enjoys nontheless.

Esteban gets drawn into the whole family party, babysitting Thomas and Anita while their parents chat about their old adventures. In the end, both Esteban and Dona realize how much fun the banter is and that spending Navidad together is not bad at all.
