Eodwulf and Yasha have a special “trophy husband/beloved hosewife” club in Rexxentrum where they lift weights/do sword drills together and eat bugs and talk about their respective gods while their significant other is off at work doing Important Things™️. They trade recipes to cook for dinner (in an apron with nothing underneath, obviously), learn how to garden, and occasionally go into the woods to hunt an owlbear or something like that for fun. Thinking about it and...if Wulf’s mission was to kill Essek, he wouldn’t have necessarily been heading straight for Aeor anyway, right? As far as we know, the Empire people don’t know that’s where Essek is. I mean, I guess it’s totally possible that they’ve got spies inside the Dynasty who’ve already told them or that they’ve worked it out through scrying (though that wouldn’t necessarily tell them Essek’s location, unless he happened to be mid-conversation like “Oh, wow, it’s so cold here on the eastern side of Aeor in this hidden outpost!”).
