Fun fact about me: I had an abortion in the beginning of June. (No “I’m sorry” and ALL “Congratulations”) This was not a sad experience for me, this was a decision I made because I’m too hot to have a baby! The only thing that was sad was the constant morning sickness and the inability to do anything. Prior to that June experience, I had undergone 2 medical abortions that were unsuccessful. My body was unable to pass the fetus, causing an infection. I was 9 going on 10 weeks pregnant and I was extremely close to the recent decision that was made: The Abolishment of Roe V. Wade. I’m so grateful that I was able to make that decision and just as equally disappointed that so many lives are affected by this abolishment. I think that one of the biggest driving forces in this decision being made is ignorance, the lack of knowledge.

With that being said, let’s get into some abortion facts! 1 in 4 pregnancies end in abortion. 25 million unsafe abortion take place each year. Criminalising abortion does not stop abortions, it just makes abortion less safe. In the U.S black women are at least 5 times more likely than white women to have an abortion. Approximately 1,876 black babies are aborted every day. For years, if someone asked Siri to find an abortion clinic nearby, the program would direct the user to crisis pregnancy centers instead.

There is way more to learn about the women’s body revolving around our reproductive system. I’m afraid that there is not enough education on the topic. Please educate yourselves on women and just sex in general. Also, remember that your personal morals/values should never apply to or be imposed on anyone but yourself. LASTLY, wrap it before you tap it.
