BERGO FISH! Updated his uniform. 

he runs on water! as in, he's got water coursing through him and it powers him. Ergo's purpose is Empire Management, and his goals are solely that the Empire is run efficiently. Eggman created him to do this. He’s not strong at all, though his weapon of choice is a fencing epee. Ergo is also a very fast swimmer but he’s abysmally slow on land. He would have done a lot of the maintenance in Aquarium Park had he been around but...

Eventually Eggman lost focus and couldn't handle Ergo's critiques of him and how he was running the Empire, so he shut him away in the basement of the base, and turned him into a super computer/server.

He was brought back online because the Empire sorely needs management, and the blunderbots aren't cut out for the job. Unlike Orbadillo and Cubrador, Ergo's body isn't a roboticized Mobian. It's purely machine, built from the ground up.

He'd have more in common with Belle and Metal than he would Orbot and Cubot.

Alda:

8. He’s actually insecure about his missing eye, ergo it’s the one that he’s always hiding behind his hair. He rarely shows it off on purpose.

14. Alda is bisexual! (He’s also slept with a lot of people *winkwink)

16. Alda does not have any pets, although if he were to have one, he would definitely want a cat (catfish? haha).

Sable

8. Sable isn’t really one to keep “big secrets”, actually! However, he has been told that he talks in his sleep…

14. Sable isn’t actually sure of his sexuality. He describes himself as demisexual with a preference for masculine or non-binary folks, but he’s not really set on a label.

16. Sable has two beta fish! One is a red crowntail betta named Berry and the other is a white doubletail betta named Sponge. He loves them very much~

THE TWINS

8. Okay, these two have so much dirt on each other, but one big secret they share is that they used to have each other’s ink colors when they were younger! Finn used to be pink and Jett used to be blue, but as they grew up they somehow changed colors. Even their parents were confused.

16. Finn has a very sweet little ball python named Percy, and Jett has a cat named Butters. 

Kyrul

8. Kyrul used to be part of a youth rebel group who wanted to take back the zap fish from Inkopolis. Originally they wanted to improve living conditions for everyone back home, but the group split when their leader went missing, and Kyrul left a little while later. He doesn’t bring it up since the half that wanted to keep stealing the zapfish started causing more serious harm and have built a bad name for themselves.

14. Kyrul is gray-asexual, and has had very few partners.

16. Kyrul isn’t super into pets, and would rather share one than own one himself, so currently he has none. He also doesn’t have a preference for any animal- he likes them all.

Boa

8. Boa is actually prone to getting nervous before turf or rank battles, and he worries a lot about making too many mistakes or losing. This makes him choke up sometimes during a fight, and he can be a really sore loser but it hides him being hard on himself.

14. Boa is my youngest (at 19 pft) so he’s still figuring himself out and is too busy trying to be the best so he can fight Alda, so he doesn’t really care about sex or romance. 

16. Boa would have SO MANY DOGS. He loves them so so much, but his family current has one very small and very cute corgi named Tito.

-----It had been a long time since I‌ had been outside of that chamber… In fact, I‌ had never been outside of it. Once I‌ had been placed inside, I‌ was no longer allowed to leave. My consciousness was, effectively, dulled. I‌ could feel, I‌ could understand, but on a very clinical, observational level.

Thinking, feeling, empathizing… Forming opinions and relaying important data, critique, as were my functions, all of these things were dulled. I‌ was, for lack of a better word, a vegetable.

I‌ was alone, hooked up to the central servers of the base, I‌ could reach every single database under the Empire, but I‌ had no personal say in what was being done. It was all under his command–I‌ was just a super computer, managing his assets.

This was my punishment for doing what I‌ was built to–I was supposed to keep my creator competitive, to criticize his failures so that he would rise above them. To teach him to recognize his mistakes, in order to surpass himself. You could say I‌ took it a little far, but from what I‌ understood of my duties, you can’t critique an adult the same way you would critique an infant. They would learn nothing, there would be no sense of challenge, no reward for properly surpassing one’s limits.

We used to be a pretty good team, back in the day. We exchanged ideas, I supported him and analyzed the data he offered me. I‌ gave him necessary critique, and I‌ proudly watched his progress. His niece and I‌ got along well, too. She was just like him, in many ways. I‌ wasn’t tasked with overseeing her development as an evil genius, so I‌ never subjected her to my harsh critique style. We did speak quite often, however. Things seemed… manageable.

And then Sonic the Hedgehog came into our lives, abruptly. It wasn’t the first time the Doctor had crushed a resistance, but apparently, he’d never dealt with one quite like the blue hedgehog’s. Every failure took a toll on his mental state–I‌ continued my harsh critique, as I‌ was programmed to do.

He no longer reacted quite as favorably. In fact, he began to scold me for talking back to him. I‌ was undeterred. This was my function, and I‌ would continue to do what I‌ was made for. In the meantime, Doctor Eggman created two more minions–Orbot and Cubot. They were cute little robots–one in the shape of an orb, the other in the shape of a cube… they were made to assist him more personally.

That was my first clue that ‌things were heading towards trouble. My second clue was the fact that after getting more uses out of his roboticizer, Doctor Eggman effectively created “bodies”‌ for Orbot and Cubot to use. Then he made them his personal guard. We had met on occasion. I didn’t like them. They were clearly meant to replace me, especially Orbot.

We were the same series of robot–both of us carried the serial number SA-55. Only he was given a nickname. Ergo, he was not a temporary acquisition.

Ergo, I‌ was going to be replaced. Not immediately, but it was going to happen eventually.

I‌ was never meant to fight, so ‌I was not built with these things in mind. I am a robian made to resemble a betta fish, I‌ have a water filtration pack strapped to my back. I‌ run on Water Power, which was a surprisingly eco-friendly choice from the Doctor. It also put me at a severe disadvantage if my pack, or any of my tubes, ruptured.

Which they did, frequently, whenever he’d strike me or beat me down. These beatings only increased in frequency as the years went on. After the spectacular failure that was Dark Gaia, it seemed the Doctor finally had his fill of me.

I‌ do not know what he told everyone else, but I was not scrapped. I‌ was sealed below central HQ in the server room. I was alone… I‌ had a vague idea of thoughts, but nothing really concrete. It was as if the cookies to my idle thoughts were erased daily.

Who knows how many times I had thought about this specific event?‌

But I‌ managed to keep apprised of important events, because of her. Elaina told me everything. I‌ couldn’t answer her, but I had everything logged and converted into binary so that I‌ could fully understand the weight of her words.

Doctor Eggman was spiraling out of control, to such a detrimental level, that he was causing the collapse of his own Empire, through intense paranoia. It was laughable, in a way. If only he had someone around to critique him, and to keep him competitive. Clearly, Orbot and that lug-nut have no idea how to do that.

Or they’re too scared of him. But I’m not.

I‌ lack the ability to feel fear–but I‌ do feel disappointment. Immense disappointment. I‌ wonder if he will be happy to see me?‌

This might be the last time I‌ get to experience life outside of that chamber–my fish bowl. I‌ expect this endeavor to lead to nothing, and I may find myself completely erased, safe for my body still in the basement, but I‌ don’t care.

I‌ am in the body of a fighter. I‌ intend to deliver a harsh critique.
