Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me
We pillage, we plunder, we rifle and loot
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me
We extort and pilfer, we filch and sack
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho

Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me
We kindle and char, inflame and ignite
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
We burn up the city, we're really a fright
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
We're rascals and scoundrels, we're villains and knaves
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
We're devils and black sheep, we're really bad eggs
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me
We're beggars and blighters and ne'er do-well cads
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
Aye, but we're loved by our mommies and dads
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me
A pirate's life is a happy life
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
A rollickin', frolickin', brawlickin' life
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho //

The Disneyland map has undergone a remarkable journey, mirroring the park's growth and evolution over the decades. From its humble beginnings as a simple hand-drawn sketch to the modern, interactive digital maps of today, the map of Disneyland has been a constant companion for visitors seeking to unlock the park's secrets. The Early Years In the 1950s, when Disneyland first opened its gates, the map was a modest affair, featuring a basic layout of the park's original lands: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. As new attractions and lands were added, the map evolved to reflect these changes, becoming an indispensable tool for navigating the ever-expanding park. The Digital Age With the advent of technology, the Disneyland Park map embraced the digital realm, offering interactive features and real-time updates. Today's maps are available on the Disneyland app and website, providing visitors with a seamless experience in planning their adventures. These digital maps offer detailed information on attractions, showtimes, and even wait times, ensuring a more efficient and enjoyable visit.

Make a Splash with Pool Party Lights
At the heart of every legendary pool party is an element that elevates the experience from a mere gathering to a memorable event—pool party lights. Picture this: your favorite tunes are playing, the barbecue is sizzling, and your friends are laughing under the starlit sky, their silhouettes dancing in the colorful glow of the waters around them. This scenario isn’t just the stuff of summer dreams; it’s what pool lights can bring to life.
Let’s explore how outfitting your pool with lights not only enhances the ambiance but also ensures safety and extends the fun long after the sun has set.
Benefits of Pool Party Lights
Pool party lights are much more than a fancy accessory; they are a practical and atmospheric necessity, especially when safety is a priority. Here are the core benefits:
A well-lit pool is a safer pool, and the addition of pool lights significantly reduces the risk of accidents, such as missteps or falling, during nighttime use. The increased visibility allows swimmers to stay aware of their surroundings and enjoy the water with confidence.
Pool Party
LED pool lights, can transform a pool from a plain blue bowl to an elegant, luminous centerpiece. The play of floating pool lights on water creates a calm, aesthetic appeal that resonates with anyone seeking a peaceful retreat.
Swimming is a round-the-clock activity with pool lights. An early morning or late night dip can both invigorate and relax, setting a serene tone for the rest of your day or night.
Types of Pool Party Lights
When it comes to illuminating your aquatic oasis, there are perfect lights for all pool party themes. Here are some popular lighting options for pool party ideas:
Floating Lights
These are perfect for their versatility and come in all shapes and sizes. From floating pool lights to solar pool lights, or lanterns, they gently bob on the water’s surface, casting a soothing and soft light around the pool.
Submersible Lights
Designed to be directly placed underwater, these pool lights can flood your pool with color or remain a subtle white, emphasizing the tranquility of the water. They are also popular for other water features like fountains or hot tubs.
Poolside Party Lights Ground Tree Spotlights And String Lights
LED Strip Lights
Known for their energy efficiency and lifespan, led strip lights can be attached to the edges of your pool, creating a sleek, modern look that’s fully customizable in terms of color and pattern.
Solar-Powered Lights
The eco-friendly choice, solar pool lights absorb the sun’s energy during the day and automatically illuminate your pool at dusk. Their installation is easy, and they’re a wise investment for those looking to minimize their carbon footprint.
Party Theme Ideas
The choice of your pool party lights can set the thematic stage for your event. Here are a few exciting party themes:
Tropical Paradise
Strings lights and tiki torches around the pool can turn your backyard into a tropical haven. Mix up a batch of piña coladas and let the island vibes take over.
Underwater Adventure
Submersible LED lights can give the illusion of an enchanted underwater realm. Combine them with foam cannons, create floating sea creatures, and you have a kid’s fantasy come true.
Neon Glow
An event that hooks onto bold, bright neon lights encourages your guests to dress in neon colors and get ready for a night of glow-in-the-dark enjoyment.
Maintenance and Care
To ensure that your pool lights continue to shine for years to come, regular maintenance is key. It’s essential to clean your pool lights regularly to prevent algae and calcium build-ups from interfering with their performance. During winter, store your party lights in a dry and cool area to protect them from damage caused by ice or prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures.
Illuminate Your Outdoor Party
Finally
As we’ve explored, pool party lights are indispensable for enhancing the safety, function, and beauty of your pool space. But beyond their practical benefits, they also hold the power to set the mood and create an atmosphere of celebration and joy. With the wealth of options available in the market today, choosing the perfect lights to splash out your unique style is part of the fun. So, whether you’re hosting a cozy gathering with friends or a full-blown pool party extravaganza, remember that pool lights are more than just accessories—they’re innovators of experience, turning the ordinary into the extraordinary.

This dream isn't just about playing the beautiful game; it's about immersing oneself in a world where passion, dedication, and talent come together to create magic. Being part of such a school offers a unique and transformative experience that goes beyond the soccer field.
First and foremost, the magic begins with the level of soccer education this boarding school soccer offer. Spain is renowned for its soccer pedigree, having produced some of the world's greatest players and teams. Boarding soccer schools in Spain, like La Masia for FC Barcelona, provide access to top-notch coaching and facilities. The technical expertise, tactical insights, and skill development offered are second to none. Being part of this environment means learning from the best, absorbing the essence of tiki-taka football, and honing one's skills to reach the highest level.
Moreover, the cultural immersion is enchanting. Spain is a country where soccer is not just a sport; it's a way of life. The passion that flows through the streets and stadiums during match days is infectious. It's about attending La Liga matches, witnessing El Clásico rivalry, and participating in local tournaments where love for the game is palpable. The magic lies in becoming a part of this rich tapestry of soccer tradition.
A worthy boarding school football in Spain isn't just about soccer; it's about holistic development. These institutions understand the importance of a balanced life. Thus, they offer a strong emphasis on academics. Students receive quality education alongside their soccer training, ensuring they have a solid educational foundation for life beyond the pitch. Another aspect that adds to the magic is the camaraderie among students. In these boarding schools, you're surrounded by like-minded individuals who share your passion for soccer. Lifelong friendships are forged on the training ground, in the dormitories, and during off-field activities. Working with Disney Assignment 1 Diana Torrado
Working with Disney interviews
Marc Davis He was born in March 1913 in Bakersfield, California. He studied Fine Arts In San Francisco and started working designing posters and illustrations for the theatre and for some journals of the time. Then he decided to pursue his dream of working for Disney after watching the film "Who Killed the Cock Robin?". He moved to California and applied for the job for which he was initially rejected, but eventually, he began working as an apprentice animator in "Snow White" on December 2, 1935.
When he got the opportunity to be an apprentice, there was a high-volume competition, and just a few artists were selected at the end of the tryouts. In the interview, Marc Davis mentions that Walt Disney always seeks ways to challenge them and bring out the best in the animators.
After being selected as an apprentice, Marc Davis started working in story sketching and character design on "Bambi" and "Victory Through Air Power." While working in "Bambi," Walt Disney noticed Marc Davis for the first time. He saw his sketches and drawings, liked them, and encouraged him to learn alongside well-known animators. He works in classic Disney features such as Song of the South, Cinderella, and Alice in Wonderland, as well as shorts, including African Diary, Duck Pimples,  Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom.
Marc Davis is the mastermind behind creating some of the most memorable animated female characters, such as Maleficent, Cruel de Vil and Thinker Bell. In the interview, he mentions that he wanted to give a real personality to these female characters. He didn't want them to be plain; he felt that Maleficent did not have enough depth, so when he created Cruella De Vil, he made sure to make her more complex in style by making pointy features of her face and being more interactive with the surroundings.
I chose Marc Davis interview because I also love the idea of a complex female character. Reading about the beginnings of the creation of some of the most iconic Disney female Disney characters and the process of thought behind it, the ideas that were put together, and the problems he encountered along the way, even knowing he didn't like Maleficent as much as the world does now is an interesting juxtaposition. Nowadays, female characters have evolved more and more complex and are based on the beginnings of animation, which are still appreciated as iconic and memorable.
Marc Davis worked for Walt Disney for 43 years. In those years, he created many characters and animated films, and he worked on the creation of famous attractions such as Enchanted Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, It's a Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion. He also met his wife, Alice Estes Davis, a costume designer for many Disneyland attractions as it's a small world and Pirates of the Caribbean. He and Alice were named Disney Legends, Marc Davis in 1989 and Alice in 2000.
Over the years, he got pretty close with Walt Disney, and in the interview, he says that Disney was just a skinny man who risked everything for what he believed in, and that's the root of his big success. Two weeks after Disney died, he visited Marc Davis and said goodbye for the last time. After that, Marc Davis died in the year 2000.
Something that stood out to me by reading these interviews was the fact that they needed help coming together with the style for the animation. Consistency was difficult because several animators were working on a film, each in a different manner. He gives us examples of these inconsistencies in feature films such as "The Sleeping Beauty," where at some points, there is a realistic animation in contraposition with some more cartoonish animation. When I think about it, I notice in "Sleeping Beauty," Aurora, the princess, whenever she has a close-up, is drawn in a hyper-realistic way. Before reading this interview, I thought that was intentional.
Sharon Baird She was born on August 16, 1943, in Seattle. She was a dancer and started working when she was a child. After being Little Miss USA, she worked dancing for different shows alongside famous figures like Dean Martin, so she already had a professional dancing career before working with Disney.
She was selected as a Mouseketeer for "The Mickey Mouse Club" TV Show when she auditioned for the role she danced with while jumping the robe, and later on, she would be added as an act for the show. She became famous and appeared in tv series such as "The World of Sid," "The New Zoo Revue and the movie Ratboy in 1986. However, her most successful show was "The Mickey Mouse Club," where she appeared for its complete run until the final years when it was cancelled.
I chose this interview because it was one of the few female interviews. I wanted to learn from the female perspective and even more as a child worker. From this interview, I realized that even when the child workers did not have laws and syndicates to protect them, Sharon Baird describes it as being able to have fun on set, Walt being protective over the children as a fadedly figure the "Uncle Walt. The importance of maintaining the magic of Disney for the children was a big deal.
She keeps memories of Walt Disney fondly and remembers him, as she says, as an Imagineer, someone unique and warm who was able to create a magnificent world around them.

Whoops. I’ve been even worse about posting since my last post. Here goes a round-up of the highlights from June 26 through August 7th… Over a month.
June 29, 2022
A group of friends and I went to Tokyo Disneyland. Honestly, it was amazing. But I have also been assured that my experience is not typical of visits to Disney parks. Since June is typically rainy season, crowds are lighter throughout the month. Plus, it was a Wednesday and most people had school or work and couldn’t go to Disney.
A probably incomplete list of the rides that we went on/experiences we had:
Pirates of the Caribbean
Jungle Cruise
Enchanted Tiki Room (Stitch themed)
Peter Pan’s Flight
Haunted Mansion
Splash Mountain
It’s a Small World
Pooh’s Hunny Hunt
Space Mountain
Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters
Star Tours
Dreaming Up Parade
Electrical Parade: Dreamlights
I think the longest wait we had was for the Pooh ride, but that was probably only about 15-20 minutes. The others were generally less than five, and once or twice we walked straight onto the ride.
I’m so glad I went into this entirely blind as to what some of these rides entailed. I don’t think I would have been as enchanted with my first Disney park experience if I knew everything that was coming. Like, holy crap Space Mountain is so good, especially when you don’t know what to expect (also, I am told the American Space Mountain is no longer like this—I had the old-school Space Mountain experience, not whatever the new one is). And again, because the lines were so quick, we went on Space Mountain twice just because. That was amazing.

On this day, I went to SkyTree with some friends and we decided to actually go up to the observation deck—both the lower and upper ones (though, tbh, unless you are really invested in whatever special partnership they have at any given time, the lower deck is the better option). I expected to be scared, because it’s so high, but it ended up being so high up that it didn’t even feel real. Unfortunately, we picked a hazy day to visit, so we couldn’t see Fuji from the observation deck, but it was still fun. I even went and stood on the glass floor section they have!

Afterwards, I met up with a friend and wandered around Sunshine City (basically a mall, which happens to be where one of the Pokemon Centers is—yes, I visited two Pokemon Center locations in one day, since SkyTree also has one). While we were wandering around the mall, we realized that there were signs indicating a free live concert was happening that evening. We decided to stick around and see what that would be like. Turns out a small boy group was releasing their first album and was holding a free concert there to promote it! The acoustics of a mall are not ideal for a concert, but it was still great fun!

July 8, 2022
Start of the Summer term! This class level has 4-5 items of homework almost daily, so I’ve ended up not doing as much—plus, friends have been focusing more on studying, not just doing homework, so there’s a definite decrease in amount of things done since this day…
July 23, 2022
A group of us went to get lunch at the TEXMEX FACTORY in Shibuya before heading over to Ikebukuro to visit an owl cafe (it’s honestly too rare to get anybody to do stuff outside of Shinjuku, so this was a huge day). While I do wonder about the welfare of the owls in this situation, it was just too cool to actually get to see and interact with owls!

Got confirmation that a friend from high school is here in Tokyo at the same time I am. Trying to arrange something there, but we will see if that actually happens. This year would be our 10 year high school reunion, so it would be beautiful if we could actually meet up halfway across the world like that!
August 6, 2022
I went out to Nakano in the morning to check out their Bon Odori festival, but got freaked out and left before going in—I should have brought some friends with me for moral support.
By the evening, I built up my courage enough that I made my way over to the Bon Odori festival happening at Sunshine City. I still didn’t join in the dancing, but I did join in the spectators. It’s a really neat tradition.

I really haven’t done anywhere near as much stuff as I planned to—partly due to the homework, partly due to the heat, partly because friends keep coming down sick. Hopefully I can do more soon. This Thursday is a holiday, Friday is midterms, then the week after that is our “summer break.” Currently there’s talk of actually doing things on Friday and during the break. Hopefully I have more to report then!

As I stated before on my previous post, “Spongebob Squarepants” had a ton of album releases. Okay, maybe not “a ton”, but a good handful. I mean, you got the “Original Theme Highlights” from 2002, the first movie’s soundtrack from 2004, “The Yellow Album” from 2005, and even “The Best Day Ever” from 2006, around the same time the TV Special aired on Nickelodeon before the first movie’s television premiere.
I’m surprised that there was no album release in 2007 when “Atlantis SquarePantis” got promoted, and released on television as Spongebob’s first hour-long special. And considering “Atlantis SquarePantis” has about 7 songs (8, if you count “Back in Encino”, which initially wasn’t in the special, but was later restored on later television airings after  “Atlantis SquarePantis” was released on DVD and Blu-Ray November 2007. You could practically have all the songs from said TV movie included, along with other Spongebob songs from Seasons 4 and 5 that were never-before-released on CD like all of Squidly’s songs from “Dunces and Dragons” (together as a medley entitled “Squidly Medley“), “Cha-Ching!” from “Selling Out”, “So Long, Bikini Bottom” from “Chimps Ahoy”, Pearl’s birthday song from “Whale of a Birthday”, Spongebob’s wishing well songs from “Wishing You Well” (credited under two separate tracks), “Twinkle, Twinkle, Patrick Star” from “Sing a Song of Patrick”, and “If I Could Talk to Money” from “Money Talks”.
As far as if “Hello Bikini Bottom” got an album release, in addition to the two songs from the TV Movie, “High Tide Time” and “Never Give Up”, you can just use whatever original songs from Seasons 5-8 haven’t gotten album releases yet as additional tracks. For example, “Squidward’s Tiki Land” from “Enchanted Tiki Dreams”, and “Attitude of Gratitude” from “The Legends of Bikini Bottom” segment, “Sponge-Cano”.
