The Resurrection of Jesus
1 But on the first day of the week, at dawn, they came to the place where his body had been put, taking the spices which they had got ready. 2 And they saw that the stone had been rolled away. 3 And they went in, but the body of the Lord Jesus was not there. 4 And while they were in doubt about it, they saw two men in shining clothing by them: 5 And while their faces were bent down to the earth in fear, these said to them, Why are you looking for the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, he has come back to life: have in mind what he said to you when he was still in Galilee, saying, 7 The Son of man will be given up into the hands of evil-doers, and be put to death on the cross, and on the third day he will come back to life. 8 And his words came back into their minds, 9 And they went away from that place and gave an account of all these things to the eleven disciples and all the others. 10 Now they were Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary, the mother of James: and the other women with them said these things to the Apostles. 11 But these words seemed foolish to them, and they had no belief in them. 12 But Peter got up and went to the place where the body had been put, and looking in he saw nothing but the linen cloths, and he went to his house full of wonder at what had taken place. — Luke 24:1-12 | Bible in Basic English (BBE) The Bible in Basic English is in the public domain. Quote
The earliest explanation of the empty tomb was that the disciples stole the body. This, however, has now been completely abandoned. The suggestion is impossible both psychologically and ethically. The disciples were not the sort of people who could have carried through such an enterprise, by any stretch of the imagination: nor can such a deliberate fraud be reconciled with their characters and subsequent behavior.

Jesus is Gone... No, a Pathway to Faith
We have looked at Sunday’s Road to Emmaus appearance and an early the Upper Room appearance where Jesus came to the disciples, but today let’s go back to Resurrection Sunday morning and visit the scene again with fresh eyes. When you look into the tomb, do you see hopelessness and despair or hope and freedom? My picture of the empty tomb in Israel. The post resurrection appearances began at the…

HER STORY: Christ's Ministry, Mary of Magdala
We’ll first follow Mary through the years she was a student and supporter of Jesus, then we will spend most of our time in the Garden with Mary at Christ’s empty tomb #MaryofMagdala #Magdelene #Resurrection #EmptyTomb #GardenTomb
Throughout his ministry, Jesus gathered around him men and women who became a community of 120 people joined in their love for and faith in Jesus. And one of those women was Mary of Magdala. She is mentioned fourteen times, in all four Gospels, and her name is almost always placed first, seemingly implying she was first in service, first in support. However, Mary’s most significant story appears…

Did The Resurrection Happen? -- Dean Meadows
If someone asked, “Why do you believe Jesus rose from the grave?” What would your answer be? In my thirteen years of ministry, the standard answers to this question are, “It says so in the Bible,” and “I’ve always been taught it was true.” In an ever-growing secular society that doubts religious claims and believes religion cannot provide foundational truths, it is essential that Christians can…

Easter - A Living Hope
1 Peter 1 Jesus changes everything! Because of His death and resurrection we have a living hope…a hope that’s alive because Jesus is alive and a faith that continues to grow and mature as we follow Him. We need not live a life of fear, though the world around us is shaking, we can have confidence knowing that the temporary things may fade, but the kingdom remains. So let us live as sojourners…

Why do you seek the living among the dead?
1 Now upon the first [day] of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain [others] with them. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. 3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord - Kurios [he to whom a person belongs] Yeshua [God is Salvation]. 4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: 5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down [their] faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek you the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spoke unto you when he was yet in Galil [circuit, district], 7 Saying, The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. 8 And they remembered his words, 9 And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest. 10 It was Miryam [waters of strength] Magdala [a tower], and Yochanan [gift of God], and Miryam [waters of strength] [the mother] of Ya’akov [heal-grabber], and other [women that were] with them, which told these things unto the apostles. 11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not. 12 Then arose Kefa [pebble], and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass. — Luke 24:1-12 | New Messianic Version (NMV) The New Messianic Version Bible by Tov Rose © 2012. Resurrection of the Lord (John 20:1-18)
He is risen! He is risen, indeed!
Mosaic of Mary Magdalene in the garden with Jesus, Resurrection Chapel, Washington National Cathedral, Washington D.C. Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb. So she ran and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken the Lord…

What is Christmas ??? Unveiling the True Meaning of Christmas
#christmas #audiobible #christian Christmas is a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. It is widely observed on December 25th each year.
