He's a lot more playful when it comes to cuddling. Sure when time calls for it, he will just hold you and play with your hair. But most of the time, your cuddle sessions are just full of giggling and playful batter. Tickling each other, pinning games (that he most of the time wins but he lets you win sometimes), hiding his face in the crook of your neck leaving kisses. Overall he's just a playful guy.

It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve done it before, Abigail never fails to be a nervous, blushing mess whenever the two of you kiss. She holds you with hover hands and doesn’t know when to close or open her eyes. She’ll be nervous forever, but it’s endearing.

Dylan wants you to think he’s confident, he wants you to think that he knows exactly what he’s doing. (He doesn’t, for the record) He’ll hold you awkwardly, and probably kiss you weird unless you say something about it: so let’s hope that you aren’t shy.

As she is with everything else, Emma is confident. She’ll caress your face and pull you in for the most passionate kiss you’ve ever experienced as if it was nothing. She’s an extremely fervent lover, even if she doesn’t want it to last.

Jacob is needy, and totally unashamed about it. He likes to wrap himself around you like a blanket and pepper your face with butterfly-light pecks. He likes to beg you to kiss him, and when he receives them, he treats them like gold because really, your kisses are that precious.

Nick is very much a gentlemen, he’ll ask you if he can kiss you beforehand. And only if you say yes of course, he’ll pull you into a loving kiss, draping his arms around you with precision—he wants to get this right— with one hand on your lower back, and the other gripping your thigh.

Ryan needs a little bit of help with his kissing; he hasn’t done much of it. Even after he gets a good lesson from you, he won’t do it often as he isn’t really the type to give much physical affection, so you’ll only get a small peck on the cheek as he walks by or a loving, only-slightly-awkward kiss in the privacy of your own room.

Kaitlyn doesn’t really do kisses. She’s more the type to hold your hand, or tell you that you ‘look totally hot today’. But with a little convincing of course, she’ll pepper you with delicate kisses leading slowly up your neck, and finally onto your lips.

pre-kiss story: you and abi were outside, enjoying the scenery and taking in the scent of nature. you two had gotten into a relationship with each other about three weeks ago, but haven’t had your first kiss yet. you just assumed abi wasn’t ready, so you just didn’t bring it up at all. you were up, moving around and ranting about your day while abi was sitting on a log, drawing in her sketchbook and listening attentively. she’d been drawing multiple sketches of you, smiling at each one of them. you noticed her smiling at her sketches, and you walked over to her and sat beside her, asking what she was smiling about. she showed you and described how perfect of a muse you were. her eyes kept darting from your eyes to your lips, as if she were debating whether or not to go for it, and that’s when it happened.

she hesitantly inched closer to your face

she’s very nervous + excited

she’s nervous because she doesn’t think she’s kissing well enough

but she’s excited because it’s her very first kiss with you!!

pre-kiss story: one of the campers in nick’s group had asked him if he was dating you. his eyes immediately widened and asked the kid who they had heard it from. the camper shrugged in response and repeated the question. nick sighed and said yes, and then his whole group started chiming in. they didn’t believe him, since they’d never seen you two hug or kiss each other. it was true you hadn’t kissed before, since you guys had just gotten together yesterday. the kids demanded proof, practically pushing him over to you. he pleaded and begged for mercy, but to no avail. they’d successfully shoved him to you and weren’t leaving until they saw the kiss. nick tapped on your shoulder and you turned to him. upon seeing his campers behind him, you asked what the occasion was. he whispered what was going on in your ear and you smiled. and that’s when it happened.

okay let me start by saying he got suuuper shy when telling you what the kids wanted

pre-kiss story: you and emma had been dating a little before applying to be camp counselors at hackett’s quarry. you both expressed how you weren’t ready for your first kiss yet, and patiently waited until the right moment. during the summer, you were ready to kiss emma, but didn’t want to tell her in case she still wasn’t ready. unsurprisingly, nobody noticed you two were dating. you guys weren’t as touchy with each other like most couples would be, but it’s just because all the affection is in private. at the end of summer, when everyone was playing truth or dare, neither of you participated in any kissing dares out of respect for the other. after the game, you two decided to go swimming near the dock. you guys played in the water, splashing each other occasionally. but then you had a deep conversation and emma got lost in your eyes. and that’s when it happened.

pre-kiss story: he was crushing on you for the entirety of summer, and it was very very obvious. you caught on, but didn’t want to risk being rejected in case he didn’t have any feelings for you and only admired you as a friend. your friendship was chaotic and nick teased him endlessly about you. whenever you came around, nick would make kissing sounds, much to jacob’s embarrassment. he invited you to take a walk with him around the camp and you accepted. while walking, you’d talked about a lot of things. you didn’t expect him to be so sweet. he asked what your life goals were, what you were truly interested in, stuff he hadn’t asked you when he was previously getting to know you. you happily answered, asking some questions of your own. you two fell silent after a bit before jacob asked if you were ready for a relationship. and that’s when it happened.

he pulled you closer to him (if that’s even possible) and held you in the gentlest way

pre-kiss story: you two were the quiet counselors, compared to everyone else, that is. you guys kept to yourselves, not very interested in social interaction. until you mentioned you had interest in the paranormal. ryan was briefly shocked, as he didn’t expect someone to match his interests. this drew him to you. you guys became quick friends and he developed a crush on you, and vice versa. each day he’d walk over and sit next to you, offering one of his earbuds and you accepted every time, like today. the same voices filling your ear everyday were getting annoying, but if it made ryan happy, you’d tough it out. he gave a deep sigh, and you turned to him, asking if he was okay. he let it all out, telling you that he had a giant crush on you. he told you he didn’t expect you to reciprocate his feelings. you put your hand on his, and that’s when it happened.

if you hadn’t initiated it, it probably wouldn’t have happened (not because he didn’t want it to happen, but because he would’ve been too shy)

the kiss was slow + affectionate (you had to change positions to make it more comfortable)

when you pull away, he looks at you for a couple seconds, looks down and smiles to himself

he doesn’t know what to do or say after

his heart is like racing

waits a bit before asking if you would like to be his s/o

pre-kiss story: you two were not supposed to here. you somehow convinced nick to give you the keys to the kitchen at 4 am. dylan kept telling you that the fear of getting caught was part of the fun. you guys decided to bake a cake. he had invited you to come with him to do something with him so he could cherish the memory, as you two had just started dating. you had to contain your laughter or else you’d somehow wake the whole camp. needless to say, you guys made a huge mess. flour was everywhere, the cleaning that lied ahead was going to suck. dylan told you not to worry about it, and to enjoy the moment. you sighed and shook your head at his care-free nature. after the cake was done, you’d decided there needed to be frosting too. when you decide to open a container of frosting and put it on the cake, dylan scoops a little bit of frosting on his finger and rubs it on his lips. he comes up with a great idea in which he grabs your attention, daring you to kiss it off. and that’s when it happened.

he did not expect you to actually do it, but he isn’t opposed

when you pulled away, he had a dorky grin on his face

he’s definitely gonna cherish this for sure

although it wasn’t an extravagant first kiss, he was so so happy

kaitlyn k. (the leader!)

pre-kiss story: you had the most obvious crush on kaitlyn, it was so obvious that she knew before anyone else did. she also had a crush on you, just not nearly as obvious. you weren’t embarrassed, though. you went out of your way to compliment her and impress her, to which she’d give a sarcastic response. her words didn’t match her feelings at all, as she was very happy about it. recalling the times you showed off for her and only her, the times you complimented her smile, the times you’d say the most corny pick-up lines, only for her. this time, you took her to the shooting range, telling her if you hit the target with the shotgun, she’d have to give you a kiss. she was shocked at the proposal, but agreed nonetheless. you took your shot but missed. she gave another sarcastic remark, but upon seeing your genuinely upset face, she took matters into her own hands. and that’s when it happened.

you didn’t have to initiate this one!

knowing good and well she was happy too

tries so hard not to smile but fails badly

the kiss was quick, but nice!!

she watches your face light up and her heart skips a beat

at this point you know she feels the same way

i feel like she’d call you names (idiot/dumbass) out of pure love and she’d make sure you know she wasn’t serious if it gets to you

max b. (mr. witty!)

pre-kiss story: you and max were a fresh couple, and a couple days in you had let max rant to you, but you didn’t know he had so many insecurities. you were glad he wanted to confide in you, but you did not expect this. he hated how dependent and helpless he was. he felt like a burden to people, especially you. he despised how awkward he could be. he thought you wouldn’t like someone like him, and how you should try and find someone better. he kept rambling on and on and you couldn’t believe your ears. yes, he was awkward at times but you loved it. everything he hated himself for, you loved. no matter what, you loved every flaw of him, because that’s what made him max. you stared at him in disbelief as he listed things he hated about himself. you had no idea where this was coming from, he probably bottled all of it up. you spoke his name softly, he kept talking. you spoke it a little louder, he still kept ranting. you gave up on words, and tried something different. and that’s when it happened.

you can trust that he does not say anything afterwards

he’s staring at you with the same disbelief you expressed before

the kiss wasn’t long or short, kinda in the middle and it was very gentle

if you say you love him right after he pulls you into a tight embrace

pre-kiss story: you had scraped your arm after a hard fall and had to go see laura in the nurse’s office again. upon seeing your arrival, she gave a faux groan of annoyance. you laughed at her reaction. you guys have been trying to get a kiss in all summer, being a new couple and all. every time you tried, though, you’d get interrupted by injured campers, or just troublesome campers. sometimes both. you’d get a good laugh out of it, but it really sucked. you wondered if laura was as bothered by this as you were, because you really wanted to kiss her. she teased you about your injury while tending to it with care. once she was finished patching you up, she packed up all the first aid supplies and starting speaking in a low, flirty tone. no one else was around so you could finally have your kiss, or so you thought. when she was inches away from your face, dylan barged in, playfully demanding a band-aid. she opened the first aid kit, grabbed a band-aid, and threw it towards him. she told him to get out, as you two were having a moment. dylan scurries out the door, and she turns to you. and that’s when it happened.

the kiss is long (and overdue)

when she pulls away she exclaims, “finally!”

she’s so happy and explains to you how she’s been wanting that to happen for so long

you guys might even kiss again from how happy you are

Jacob Custos

He may look like a jock (and act a bit like it sometimes), he has a HUGE heart. A true hopeless romantic in his core.

And right now, the boy's heart is taken by none other than you. Jacob is not the kind of guy to be oblivious to his own feelings. He likes you and he knows it, so he plans to act on it. Besides, you look like you might like him too.

So of course, he asks you on a date. When you accept, he's all giddy with happiness. But then comes a problem. He's a Hackett's Quarry. Normally, he'd take his date to the cinema or to eat somewhere. The camp's not exactly the best place to sweep someone off their feet.

There is one place though. The lake ! Which even leaves the possibility of skinny dipping open. Even better, it's far from the lodge and the cabins, so no possibility of getting caught by kids or Mr. H.

Implying, you two go there at night. With the days being so full of looking after the kids, Jacob wants privacy. He's got a lot of jokes and charming methods that can't be overheard by kids.

He obviously want to kiss you. If he feels a right moment he will go for it. Will stay light on the first date though.

Emma Mountebank

Oh, Emma. This girl lives for the thrill of adrenaline. And hanging out with you is like a shot of it. You have this addictive nature that she can't explain, but just loves.

Has no shame in being interested in you. Will flirt with you at any time. But wait, she doesn't do the obvious flirt Jacob might do. I'm talking seduction. Will brush your hand then stare at you and wink. Will give you that smirk.

One day, out of the blue, she leans into you at dinner and whispers to come to the lodge that night. Obviously you do.

The lodge at night just has another vibe, when it's dark. It's just the two of you there. Maybe doing some exploring of the rooms you don't usually go into.

If you're not an adventurous one, she'll try to stay put.

If you're not, she will want to go around Mr. H's rooms, just because she can. Explore the area.

If she feels you're up for it, she will make out with you on the spot. She loves the fun and the risk of getting caught. It just adds some spice.

Ryan Erzahler

When you look at Ryan, you see a blasé guy, brooding and mysterious. He has his own bubble, and you respect that. It's kinda hard to tell what he's feeling, or if he's feeling anything at all.

Boy if you knew. He's just bad at expressing himself, but he feels so much. Especially towards you. The boy's smitten, no matter how hard it is to tell.

He'll take his time before asking you on a date. To be sure. To get the courage and all. We're definitely into august by now. But time's getting short, and Ryan doesn't want to miss another opportunity.

You guys spend lots of time together during the day because of the timetables of your cabins. That's how you got to know each other. He'll casually ask you if you want to hang out later tonight. You block out a bit, asking to be sure if he means the night, or a date at all.

He wants to make it special. He doesn't look that way, but he's a romantic deep down. He panics a bit, not knowing what to do for the date. It's not his area of expertise. He gives it a lot of thought, and figures that what he does best is sailing.

So ! You meet at the lake, at the boat house. He got everything prepared, the rows and the boat.

At first, you hadn't expected Ryan to even break a single rule. But here you were, sneaking out a night for a boat ride ! And heck, he doesn't look very strong, but damn this boy has arms of steel.

Sadly he's probably too awkward to kiss you himself. It depends on if you take initiative or not for this one !

Nick Furcillo

Now, this boy's just shy. Has had this huge crush on you since the beginning of camp. Of course he wants to have more time alone with you, he's been dreaming of asking you on a date every night.

You'll have Jacob to thank for when Nick finally asks you out, because the big guy's been pestering him to do it for days and days.

It's a bit awkward when he asks. He may be hot af, but hasn't got no ladies yet. He's a bit clueless on how to do this, and Jacob's advice is... yeah. Eventually he gets more confident, especially when you say yes.

He tells you to meet him outside the cabins at night. But from here ? He has no idea what to do. When the time has come, he thought that he could take you on a walk to the forest, that's romantic right ?

But then. You casually mentioned that you're hungry. His mind did a full 360 and came with a new idea. You guys are now headed to the lodge ! You can barely keep up with Nick, he's so excited about his plan.

He takes you to the lodge's kitchen. You said you're hungry ? Name what you want. He'll cook it for you. You were not that hungry, a snack would have done the trick. But just to mess with him, you tell him that you want a full chocolate cake.

Oh, the mistake. Now he's getting all the supplies and measuring flour and sugar. Of course.

You decide to help him. Depending on how good you are at baking, this can be more or less chaotic. Either way, a food fight will ensue. You're covered in flour. You're both shushing each other because the laughs are so loud, you're scared to wake Mr. H up.

Once again, whether there's a kiss or not, it's up to you !

Kaitlyn Ka

Kaitlyn is a chill girl. Easy going and all. If she’s got the hots for you, she’s gonna understand it pretty soon. However, asking you on a date is another story. She may look all that confident, and she truly is, but on every angle.

You guys start off as good to really good friends, and she really doesn’t want to mess that up. She’s seen how friendships got ruined because of feelings.

So yeah, not straight out asking. It’ll take the help of the others to push her to finally get the courage to ask you on a date.

Once again, it’s during camp. Not your usual stuff to do. Once you said yes though, she just opts for the chill option. Sneaking out at night at the fire pit.

She’s a bit like Emma in the sense that she enjoys the danger of getting caught. Not as much though. So, when at the fire pit, she definitely lights up a fire. A small one though, not the usual huge bonfire.

You guys spend the date coddled up around the small fire, looking at the stars. If it went well and if the moment is right, Kaitlyn will try for a kiss. Short and brief, leaving the door open for you to do something more if you’re up to it.

She won’t push, but she’ll be head over heels if you do.

Dylan Lenivy

As we’ve seen with Dylan, this boy isn’t into hookups. You don’t have to be the love of his life for him to ask you on a date, but he won’t do it at first glance either.

He gets quick crushes easily, though. When you two met on orientation day at camp, his first thought was “god damn it they’re beautiful”. But hey, it’s Dylan we’re talking about. He didn’t even think that he had a chance with you.

You two start up as friends. Jesus, that guy makes you laugh sooo much. You pretty much hang out whenever you can. As time goes on, he realizes that maybe his crush isn’t as insignificant as he thought. In fact, it’s growing day by day.

Because he has no idea how to deal with emotions, he hides behind humor. It’s the only way for him to express with flirting, indulge him. At first you thought it was only just jokes and laughed it out. But as august rolled on, you noticed that half of his jokes were about getting a date with you.

Let’s be real, you would want a date with the boy. So one day as he was randomly saying “C’mon, a night out in the radioshack with this-” pointing at himself, “you’d definitely love it !”; you just answer “sure. yeah. How about tonight ?”. He straight up blanks out. Never ever before has an answer be so efficient to shut him up. All he can get out is a “yeah” stuttered.

He spent the whole day panicking. Did he actually had a date with you ? Was it even a date ? He’s 100% overthinking. As he sneaks up to the radioshack at night, sweating buckets, he half expected you not to come. When he does see you though, his heart starts doing somersaults.

It may be awkward a bit at first, but you guys are quickly laughing your asses off. It’s so fun to be there at night !

Dylan shows you around the hut. He explains how he basically repaired it, how he loves that place. You sit next to him as he shows you how all the sound system works, being all nerdy about it. You get to see a bit of his true persona, hidden behind the jokester, and it only makes you fall more.

Sneak in a peck on his lips at some point and he would be in heaven. I don’t see him being bold enough to do it at this point though.

Abigail Blyg

She is a very shy girl. Not only in relationships, in general. Her friends pushed her to be a counselor at Hackett’s Quarry. However, she doesn’t regret it all, especially since she got to meet you.

She’s discreet. There won’t be obvious signs that she’s into you. Buuut if you’re careful enough, you’ll notice that she’s staring at you when she thinks you aren’t looking. He gaze lingering just a moment too long.

After almost all summer being into you, the others finally pushed her enough for her to want to ask you out. She won’t admit it out loud though, she hates breaking the rules.

Except when it involves you, it seems...

She won’t call it a date, she’s not bold enough sadly. But, she will succeed in asking you on a walk. Curse the heavens, you were actually busy with the children when she asked you. You’re the one suggesting a rain check after curfew.

She seems to hesitate a bit, but when your eyes lock, she agrees.

Spends the day biting her nails, worrying about tonight. She’s an anxious cookie. It’s fun when the children in her art class notice and ask her if she has a secret. She blushes as red as the apple she’s trying to paint.

You meet at the tree in the middle of the cabins. You’re a bit surprised because Abi still wants to go take a walk into the forest. But fear not ! She actually knows a certain spot, she can go there even at night. She found it by randomly wandering during the day.

You guys sit on a log, illuminated by the NOT FULL moon. Her artists instinct kick in and she has the sudden urge to draw you. And it’s so beautiful, getting to see yourself the way she sees you.

If you’re being smooth enough in what you’re saying, you may very well get Abi to kiss you !

Emma Mountebank who LOVES dr who and only person who knows is you and jacob. She’ll talk about it for days on end if she could, and the second that she found out you were a fan too she was ecstatic. She’ll stay up to the latest hours of the night just to watch the specials with you and never shut up about it the next day.

Emma Mountebank who loves to go movie for movie with you, of course she isn't that much of a nerd to watch tons of nerdy movies but she’ll listen to you spill your guts and then go on about all her girly movies (she absolutely loves Mean Girls and went into a state of shock seeing the cameo in 7 rings)

Emma Mountebank who really does listen when you speak. Especially about everything that happened at camp, as much as she did try to forget about everything, it was a little comforting knowing that others (mostly you, Jacob and Abi) were comfortable enough to confide in her about the events. She understood how much it affected you but it's much easier to handle knowing that everyone lived (Nick is a little crazy now and Ryan is even more depressed than when Camp was still active)

Emma Mountebank who still stays in contact and does her best to spend time with you after the events at camp. Since Jacob ended up losing interest and she's been on her own she just wants to take time to herself and heal but still frequently spends time with the Quarry group chat, everyone has to suffer through dylan’s thousand hour long voice notes as now that he doesn't have radio equipment, he has to settle for being heard through calls only. Whenever the 2 of you are the only ones in the GC it's not bad blood, only when it's not about something nerdy or mental health it isn't very interesting.

Emma Mountebank who will absolutely shell out hundreds of dollars just to hangout, when it's just the two of you going to a dinner of course she’ll offer to pay the bill (looking around her empty purse swearing its ok that she pays while you insist on paying it yourself)

Emma Mountebank who does everything in her power to make sure that everyone has a good time during the monthly movie night, she’ll even get everyone their own tailored costume just to make the Imax movie experience 10x better. Especially when she dragged everyone to watch Barbie and made a rule that everyone needed to wear pink, everyone.

Emma Mountebank who’s doors are always open if you really do need company during a rough time, she’ll make the most comfortable of couches just for you to lay your head on and keep her ears open for all the things you need. A few times it did get very bad for you, you were confused when Jacob answered the door only to realize he too also sleeps over every once in a while.

Emma Mountebank who every few months just shows up to your house with a gift, everytime you ask why she wants to she always responds with the fact that she wants to help people and that helping others makes her feel better. So imagine her surprise when she got hit with her own surprise birthday party and the whole gang was there. Jacob and Dylan somehow managed to get Ryan to show up and he seemed happy, aswell as Nick just being there (talks in the gc once every other 2 weeks) as much as their relationship was a little sour, it was still a welcomed surprise for even the 2 that she didn't treat the best showed up.

Emma has pre-recorded something halloween-y to upload on the 31st so she can go out and party but still keep her fans happy! She’s going as Sidney Prescott, the final girl of Scream, and has convinced you to match costumes with her! Wether you’re another slasher victim or the slasher themselves is up to you, just know that she’ll be taking as many photos as she possibly can <3 She’s going to have a cute halloween picture of the two of you as her wallpaper for the next 5 months so make sure you look good…

Abigail isn’t a party person, but if that’s your thing she’ll go along with it— just not for too long. When you’ve gotten tired of partying (if you do so at all) she’ll be waiting at home for you. But don’t worry! She’s not mad, after all, everyone enjoys some alone time! She’ll snuggle into you for some movie time and probably fall asleep halfway through lol. Ryan absolutely LOVES halloween, and has made a movie lineup for the two of you 2 weeks in advance… He’s going to dress up as someone from an old horror movie that has an iconic yet subtle outfit, like one of the characters from The Blair Witch Project or someone from a Saw movie (which are a couple of his halloween favourites :)) He’s definitely going to talk through most of the movies, telling you random shit about them and picking apart plot holes but it’ll be fun anyways.

Although he loves attention, believe it or not, Jacob isn’t a fan of parties, he also isn’t a fan of horror, so picking out a fun halloween activity that both of you will enjoy is going to be a struggle. If you’re set on watching horror for halloween night, he’s going to be clinging to your arm the whole time and hiding under a blanket (he’s definitely cute like this though so no complaints) please reassure him and give him plenty of kisses when you’re going to go to sleep though because he’s gonna be scared shitless

“oh, yes, please do. that would be marvelous.” you responded while watching everyone set some of the stuff up.

“it’s a play! i figured since i’m the theater coach, it’s only fair to do so!” she did a twirl of excitement. “also, you’re the lead role!”

“i’m not necessarily opposed,” you slowly turned your head towards her beaming face. she was so pretty when she was excited.

“good! you better not be, i spent an entire month writing the script!”

you laughed and asked, “alright, alright, now what part am i playing?”

she explains your role and the deadline to memorize your lines, she also explains that she and the other 8 counselors all had parts in the play, some of the kids did too. she didn’t let you know anyone’s part, though, because she wanted to keep it a surprise. but she did let you know that she told the other counselors that it was for the kids, which made them oblige.

the night of the play...

“can you please tell me who the love interest is gonna be? i got my parts completely memorized, everything’s set up properly, i did everything you asked; i even wore this stupid costume!” you spoke, frustrated but laughing at the same time.

“hey, watch it. i made that costume, in case you forgot. plus, it looks good on you. you’re welcome.”

emma was also in a costume, and it suited her well.

“oookay, places everyone! the show’s about to start!” she quickly ran off to get into her position.

everyone was seated in the chairs of the auditorium, ready to watch, and your scene was the very first one. the scene included you calling in your love interest to the stage. after all of the waiting, you were excited to see who it was going to be.

you walked onto the stage when given the cue, and called out for the “love of your life”. when they came, it was quite literally the love of your life.

it took a lot of convincing from emma to get abi to be your love interest for the play

she kept overthinking what you would say, she thought you’d judge her

but she couldn’t deny emma’s puppy dog eyes, and she most definitely didn’t want to miss out on an opportunity to be with you

she was very very shy at first, so you secretly exchanged some encouraging words which made her smile and boosted her confidence

when the scene was over, you told her how great she did and she could not stop beaming

she repeatedly tells you how hard and fast her heart is beating

you let her know she did great, and she had to resist the urge to kiss you (she would never initiate it because she’s too scared of being rejected)

so of course, emma being the little sneaky devil she is, added a kiss scene as the ending scene of the play

poor abi’s face was red when it was time

you both went through with it

the kiss was soft and sweet

and the audience clapped

when you two pulled away, abi was so so soooo shy

she took your hand and led you off-stage, where you two would confess to each other and become official

now how emma got nick to be your love interest was a set-up.

she made a bet with him, saying that if you slept in today, he’d have to be in her play (she told you to sleep in the night before)

so now he’s here

she didn’t tell him you were gonna be his love interest, so when he sees you he almost explodes

he stutters on his words a little bit, and you nod to let him know he’s doing great

soon enough, he becomes bold and confident

he flirts with you his character flirts with yours with ease as he’s no longer afraid

you take this as your chance to be bold as well, which flusters him

of course emma makes you kiss at the end, so when it’s time he stares at you

it’s only when you nod and let him know it’s okay to kiss you that he actually does

the kiss was sweet and gentle, as if he was scared to hurt you

and everyone clapped

after the play was over, nick visited your cabin and then confessed to you, and you reciprocated the action

nick smiled to himself while going to bed that night

oh goodness

all emma had to do for him was tell him you’d be the love interest and he signed up immediately (its not like he had a choice)

when he came on stage, he was so dramatic but you gave him the most adoring look and when he saw your face he literally melted

after seeing how sweet you looked when he was being silly, he kept doing so, and the audience loved him!

he was so ready for the kiss scene that he almost rushed his parts so the scene could hurry up and arrive

he made sure to practice his parts a lot because he didn’t wanna embarrass you

emma shook her head watching him, but smiled when she saw the way he looked at you and how you looked at him

he arrives with full blown confidence, so you don’t need to boost his ego

when the kiss scene arrives, he whispers “finally”

jacob was prepared for this moment but hesitated because he didn’t want to make you uncomfortable so you just kissed him

the kiss was energetic and you both couldn’t stop smiling

when the audience was clapping is when he confessed

you confessed too

and you left the auditorium holding hands

now you were definitely not expecting this

ryan saw your stunned face and gave you a look that said “i know, i’m shocked too”

emma asked him to join and he said “only if (y/n)’s in it” as a joke

emma took it seriously.

you couldn’t help but laugh, and he almost thought you were laughing at him

that was until you winked at him and motioned him to come closer

he tried to be expressive, but failed

he wasn’t good at acting. like at all.

but that’s okay, because the audience loved him anyway

you smiled at him the entire time, and he couldn’t help but smile back

ryan’s a little anxious because he’s never done this before, so you should boost his ego (he deserves it)

when the kiss scene arrives, he kinda freezes

you had to kiss him because he was beginning to chicken out

the kiss was soft and impassioned

the audience clapped

he only confessed when you two were alone

and listened to his podcast whilst sitting next to each other, your head resting on his shoulder

another drama queen

emma let dylan know of every role and smiled to himself when he heard he’d be your love interest

she told him not to spoil it

he’d always flirt with you jokingly, so he figured he’d just do it here as well

he got really into his role and surprisingly was a great actor

you almost laughed at how serious he looked

you flirted with him jokingly too, and even did some improv

and it was just teasing all around

emma shook her head in faux disappointment as she watched you two be super extra on stage

he’s an anxious mess but doesn’t show it, he fronts as if he’s confident (if you try and boost his ego he’ll just go like ‘i know i’m awesome’ but really appreciates it)

when the kiss scene arrives, he smirks at you

you roll your eyes playfully

the kiss was neat but obnoxious (because dylan’s a goof), and you couldn’t stop laughing after it was over

when the play was done, dylan went for it

“hey, you wanna redo that kiss?”

you both confess right after and listen to some music together

she quite literally has to be pushed onstage by emma

she thinks you look stunning and that she looks ridiculous and swears like a sailor under her breath

she comes off as aggressive when she’s anxious, so please let her know she’s doing amazing

she hesitated to say her lines but ultimately warmed up and let loose a little

you subtly encouraged her to step out of her comfort zone with each line you delivered

she wasn’t a terrible actor, but she wasn’t all that great either

you did improv with her to get her to loosen up some more, as she’s still a little tense

emma watches you help kaitlyn ease into her role and almost squeals at how cute you two are

she can’t help but smile whenever you’re saying your lines and almost forgets to say hers because she’s too busy looking at you

she would be so confident in her abilities if she wasn’t with you, she’s so scared that she’ll embarrass herself in front of you so she falters (BOOST HER EGO NOW.)

when the kiss scene arrives, she’s ecstatic but nervous

when you kiss her, she melts

the kiss is soft and just a teensy bit rough

after the play is over, she asks if you like her

which leads to you both confessing

and accidentally falling asleep on each other while watching a movie

honestly there was nothing emma could do for him so she made the kids force him to be in the play

he looks to you for comfort almost immediately

you try and let him know he’ll do amazing through your given lines

says “uh” and “um” a lot when delivering

thank god emma gave him an awkward character to play because the audience didn’t even notice he was actually this bad

her line delivery isn’t perfect but it’s still impressive

winks at you to flirt subtly because she knows the audience can’t see something as small as that

emma is shocked as laura’s performance and is definitely going to ask her to audition in future plays

when the kiss scene arrives, she doesn’t hesitate but does wait until you’re ready so she doesn’t disrespect your boundaries

the kiss is soft but a little rough (slightly rougher than kaitlyn’s)

when the play is over, she drags you off-stage to tell you how well you did and how much she loves you

people clapped whenever you had scenes together

if anything, she’s the one boosting your ego, letting you know how great you’re doing

she has you infatuated, smiling at her every move and word

her movements were so fluid, the acting was on point

she was like a goddess

tell her how great she’s doing, even if she knows it (it means so much to her omg)

when the kiss scene arrives, she kisses you so passionately and gently

everyone clapped because you two are so cute

when they play was over, she admitted to you that she thought you had a crush on nick and tried to set you two up but nick told her that you liked her and therefore she should be the love interest

this led to her confessing that she loved you and would’ve gotten really jealous if you did like nick but would’ve wanted you to be happy

you guys held hands, kissed, shared snacks, listened to music, talked, ranted, whatever you could think of

you two were so happy

You sat silently as you thought, knees pulled up so your arms rested on the tops of them. Blanket around your shoulders while people ran all around you in a panic or looking for something to help others.

People helping and healing your friends and colleagues making sure they had medical help after the terrible 'animal attack' that had taken place. To make sure they would survive the ride back to the hospital.

The blood, the cuts and bruises you had, sharing them with the others. They weren't nearly as bad as seeing everyone so terrified for their lives. Scared to die, scared to not make it till the day came around once more.

Especially her.

Seeing Emma cling to you every opportunity she got, the fear in her eyes whenever they met yours, the shake in her voice when she'd tell you that you were an amazing person.

And anyone would be lucky to have met you while you bled out on the ground. It wasn't a deadly deep scratch, but it was deep enough to terrify her, and you didn't notice because all you could do was stare at the girl in front of you.

Emma comforted to you even when she was terrified, because she believed you were dying. That was all. And yet there was still something strange between you two, but now you weren't sure you'd get the chance to ask. Because maybe one of you would be preparing to be six feet under by the time the afternoon rolled around.

It made you sick. All of it.

It made you sick how much she'd changed, how no longer was she bright, her eyes going dim. Thinking back to each interaction you had with the brunette before what had happened.

The loud sirens becoming fuzzy and drowned out, your stomach becoming sick and your mind foggy as you sunk back to before the night. Before you nearly died, and before you had to deal with this for the rest of your life. Instead, thinking about her, before.

Before.

"So?"

You looked up at Emma from under the tree you had been relaxing under, pulling your earbuds out.

"What?" "My going home outfit! How does it look?" She did the little twirl for you before putting out her hands like a showgirl, giving you a grin.

"It looks great, but isn't Jacob the one you should be asking?" You teased earning a look from her before she walked over and put out her hands. "Yeah.. no way. He was fun for a while but..." She trailed off helping you up from the ground, holding your hand as you both walked off towards a trail in the woods back to the lodge.

"But?" "I have other plans and people." She shrugged it off looking somewhere else. "Don't you have to clear the cabins out?"

"And grab my bag but... I also need to make sure the rest of my bags are good in that truck before I forget and then next thing y'know, my underwear are left for Mr. Hackett to find." Humming you kicked a few rocks in your path, chuckling a bit at her answer.

"Well, if you do, I wouldn't mind finding them for you." You winked at her getting a light smack to your shoulder and a giggle from her lips.

"I'm sure you wouldn't." Your grin made her blush looking away from you once more. "I bet Jacob would totally cream his pants if you asked, just radio him and tell him to do it." "I'm done with him! I wanna talk about you!"

"What about me?" She stopped right on the small bridge that ran over the little stream, leaning against the rail. "C'mon don't you have a ton of Romeo's waiting for you out there?" "Ew, Romeos aren't exactly..." You trailed off for a second gathering your words before meeting her eyes.

"I prefer Juliets, but yeah, I guess." You shrugged it off standing in front of her. Emma stared at you for a moment, making you uncomfortable and begin to wonder if you made a mistake telling her in the first place.

"Juliets, huh?" She then said quietly while biting her lip, watching your face for every tiny little reaction you had.

You nodded. "Yes, Emma, please tell me you aren't about to ask if I have a crush on you and then never look at me the same ag–"

"I'm not!" She laughed, reaching out to tap your upper arm.

"Just glad you told me."

"Why, so now you can force me to talk about my love life and torture me some more before we leave?" She nodded and cackled like an evil witch, throwing her head back slightly with a clap of her hands.

"Oh for sure, I'm gonna be checking out so many ladies for you. We are gonna be an unstoppable duo."

Your smile faltered in just the slightest, staring into her eyes perfectly reflecting the sun that slowly set behind you. Admiring her smile and the way her hair perfectly framed her face.

Fuck.

Quickly you dragged your eyes away to look at the golf cart you were taking back and forth between the areas. Finding it much more interesting than her face.

"Anyone in mind?" Her sweet voice then asked.

"Yeah, but I doubt she'll like me back."

"Anyone who wouldn't is an idiot."

You quietly laughed looking back to her with a little nod.

"Same to you."

"Y'know Y/n, I think we could be great friends outside of here. After we go home." "Oh yeah?" She moved to stand beside you, laying her head against your upper arm, listening to your breathing. "Yeah. My fans are gonna love you." "Oh em gee! Can't wait!" You then cheered sarcastically, beginning to walk towards the golf cart.

"Whatever, but you'll be thanking me. Mark my words Y/n/n! We'll be the internets 'it' couple." You sent her an eyebrow raise making her giggle. "Couple of besties! Geez, way to take me seriously." "Yeah, yeah. Get in already."

But that was earlier.

Before.

Not you sat on the back of an ambulance. A few already taking your friends away from this place, this hell, there was at least four of them, some here just for immediate attention on scene. Hoping to save address non life threatening wounds, to keep you alive.

And some saving lives, leaving while you watched them with a terrible feeling in your stomach. Hoping to everything you'd see them again, the people laying in the back fighting to stay on Earth.

"Hey." The voice was so familiar yet so far in your mind, slowly turning your head to face her. To face everything you'd been thinking about.

"Hey Em." "How's your stomach?" Her voice was so soothing, quiet, her hair tied all the way up now, and mens clothing adorned on her frame now and a blanket wrapped tightly around her shoulders.

"Better. Hurts like a bitch, but it's probably not gonna kill me."

"Probably?" She laughed while you nodded, staring blankly in front of you while Emma moved to sit beside you on the small wedge at the end of the vehicle. "I wasn't lying." You then glanced over to her, staring forward to avoid your gaze.

"About?" "About you being amazing, and my favorite person here."

The quietness then fell over you both once more, Emma laying her head against your shoulder.

"I meant it all, even if I thought you were totally gonna bleed out and die." That made you laugh, resting your cheek on her hair. "Well, thanks. Good to know you actually like me and weren't lying to comfort me in my final moments." You could feel her laughing, despite only hearing the quiet chatter of the police and others on site.

Blue and red lights flickering off your face and Emma's eyes when she tilted her head up. Examining your features while you confusingly watched her.

"How are the others?" You then asked, cutting right into the silence.

Well Kaitlyn is good, Dylan too with his drumstick, he's... in shock right about now. Jacob.. yikes but he'll be fine. But that's who I could see... I almost didn't find you. You scared the holy shit out of me."

"Holy?"

She nodded.

"Yeah. Like... I really thought..." She bit her bottom lip and did a half shrug. Staring off into space.

"Ems. I was being honest too." You let out a breath, smiling. "You're pretty awesome." "And pretty?" You then snorted making her laugh, still watching you while resting against your shoulder.

"Pretty enough to kiss?" "Well, you're getting delirious now." She giggled, wrapping her arms around one of yours. "No, I just wish I said it earlier. Y'know before we almost died and are now traumatized." She joked getting a laugh out of you.

"But we can attend couples therapy." She joked, but you knew somewhere behind her eyes was pain.

She was hurting and you wondered if she was just looking for comfort.

You stared at her in silence for a moment, the girl only blinking back like she was waiting for you to agree. Like she knew you would.

But you didn't say a word, lightly grabbing her face to pull her in. Soft enough for her to pull away, but she didn't. Her soft lips meeting yours, still slightly tasting like her strawberry lip gloss she asked you about earlier.

"Jacob's gonna be pissed." "Stop bringing him up, that was a bad time in my life." You looked around at everyone, seeing a few more familiar faces getting treated. "Can't be worse than this."

That was all before, but now there was an after.
