Y'aaall.. I know that I was supposed to post abt TADC right now, but hear me out-
This is CatNap..right? So, that's him in his other form, and I was like "Hey, let's give him a nickname!" Because why not?
In my AU, his name will be DollNap instead, because of his body shape that looks more like a doll/Ragdoll/Voodoo doll..he took some skin from DogDay, Hoppy Hopscotch, Bubba, KickinChicken, and PickyPiggy. And Bobby and CraftyCorn are alive in my AU but they are not in the playcare, due to them finding a way out to escape from CatNap, and CatNap was looking for them around the playcare in hope that he could find them, but that happened long time ago now, and the bitch still won't give up-
Tumblr media
And Elliott Ludwig is basically alive due to the experiments on him, and once you meet him, you'll find that his hand looks more like the prototype's, because Elliott managed to kill the prototype by a way that I don't even know, and took his hand and placed it with his. Not to mention, the toys in the factory respects him in the highest levels possible because he's a father figure to them, especially CatNap, but CatNap got betrayed along with Huggy and Mommy by Elliott because of what they did in the factory and all the deaths they caused, which is something that Poppy is worried about for reasons. And "The hour of joy" tape explains what I mean.
Anyways hope you have a nice day☀/afternoon/night🌙

POPPY THEORY
Okay, so you know how Elliot Ludwig is constantly talking about how his favorite thing in the world is children's smiles? Like he goes on about it, and it's even in his introductory tape to PlayCare?
.....Why are the Smiling Critters called the Smiling Critters?
I mean yeah, no duh, they have massive fucking smiles, but in-universe, why did Playtime Co. make these things? Was it in Elliot's memory?
If that's the case, then that strengthens the idea that Elliot Ludwig is the Prototype, and makes CatNap and even more tragic character.
Think about it. If Elliot really is the Prototype, then it would be a slap in the fucking face for him to find out that they just released a line of toys called "The Smiling Critters" when he KNOWS about the Bigger Bodies Initiative. And, in his efforts to stay true to himself and help one of the kids escape with himself, he gets him NEARLY KILLED, TORTURED, AND TURNED INTO A BIGGER BODY. On top of that, one that is constantly smiling.
Wouldn't that be fucked up or what.
That, and the opening cartoon. I've seen a couple people point out now that the cartoon could be a depiction of what the children were going through during the Hour of Joy, which strengthens the idea of the Smiling Critters being directly linked to smiling children as an ironic nod to Elliot Ludwig, and just a slap in the fucking face for him.
Man.

My Mini theories about Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 “A Deep Sleep”
These are some theories I have about the chapter, and what I think will happen and what’s happening, some are my theories, and others are theories I kinda got from others.
The Player was an orphan at Playcare (and the player is Sharon)
I thought of this because in the first gameplay trailer Poppy said to get revenge on those monsters who tortured the player, which means the player was wronged and was experimented by the company and scientist. And there possibly a toy, or a human looking toy (I hope that, because I don’t want the protagonist to look like a bland yellow mannequin). And at the end of the second gameplay trailer, a mystery man says “welcome home”, somewhat implying the player used to live there. And with Sharon, in the … NFT video. She’s was treated like dirt by Leith Pierre. And she’s possibly his personal assistant, so she’s working close with one of the higher ups. She dose seem kinda incompetent, it’s kinda small like not turning off a microphone off, and a bit big, like with letting Huggy loose and not sending a train to help the resources specialist in the tutorial in Project Playtime. It’s possibly Sharon left the company around that time, or something else. And as of a random side note, there is a flower named Rose of Sharon.
2. Leith Pierre is watching the player.
I think I came to this conclusion because on Leith’s computer from the Chapter 3 arg, we get access to the cameras where we see the previous Chapter 2 areas. And we see that from the Chapter 1 cameras, though it could be something they added in because it seems interesting, but I feeling Leith or someone else is watching the player.
3. The new female antagonist is Molly Ludwig.
This was something I thought of because of her looking a bit humanoid, and just I hope Molly has a big role in this chapter or future chapters, like she’s Elliot Ludwig’s ex wife, like she has to have an important role, maybe she was made into an experiment by Sawyer or even Ludwig.

Does Elliot miss his wife? What happened to her after she left him?
Tumblr media
That's what Prototype is like whenever he talks about her. It's been +70 years. Angel tries to comfort him, of course, with Proto telling them about how he failed her, resulting in the divorce. At this point in time Angel is already with a huge crush on Proto and is just nodding along because if he misses her this much after so long it's because only now he feels safe enough to fully process what happened.
Elliot knew well Molly would not be seen well by ANYONE if they broke up after marriage, but he respected her decision and helped her as much as he could. Molly was thankful and they parted in fairly good terms. On paper they could only divorce each other more than a few decades later, but in practice they did that in 1930. Molly went on to have a good life and also became an orphanage owner, receiving money from the toys she designed. She died peacefully around the 1970s/1980s.

The whole Elliot Ludwig podcast is a surprise and creepy thing to note. Elliot may not be the man he seems. And yet, I still wonder what this all means, did Elliot actually do it? Or was it a set up?
It was only half-true, Elliot was never blamed, the dead boy is actually the family member he lost so he blamed himself for his death:
I believe that Elliot is a good man, a family man at heart. And from his speech, he really sounds like a good guy. He wanted to make children happy, feel loved and find a place for them to belong.
I know people are already suspecting that Elliot front image of being a "perfect-family-man" is a lie to hide who he truly is, and the podcast about a dead boy in his bedroom stuffed into a duffle bag is raising some eyebrows. But, I still have a feeling that Elliot isn't at fault here.
We all know that Elliot got divorced in the 1930s, then in the 1960s a tragic family death pushed Elliot to his lowest. We never get to hear who died, many speculated it was Elliot's daughter who became the Poppy doll. But I don't think so.
I think I now know who died and what happened to them, I believe the family member Elliot lost is the boy found inside the duffle bag.
Now, I know there isn't any evidence to back this theory up, but work with me. I think that the whole podcast of Elliot being blamed and suspected for the boy's death is a lie, he was never blamed for it.
Remember, we heard the podcast when the Protagonist was dreaming after inhaling the Red Smoke and there's been some signs that the reverse audio we heard was the Protagonist talking to themselves for not being at the factory during The Hour of Joy and they came back because of survivor's guilt.
So I imagine that the podcast is Elliot's nightmare, his fear of being responsible for his lost and blaming himself for not saving the boy or being blamed for it.
I know this is a long stretch, but it's just a theory and I hope we get to know more of this in the next chapter.
The crime was just a set-up to keep the public occupied so the company can continue the experiments without getting any attention:
Now this one is I think is likely to be true. For all we know, Elliot made Playtime Co. to make toys for children to be happy. But then the experiments start to happen, in a VHS tape in Project: Playtime, Harley Sawyer (aka the Doctor/ the founder of the Bigger Body Initiative) said that people who starting to see things they shouldn't and lawsuits are coming in and out. So he propose the BBI to make giant toys to work for them.
I feel like after the whole program was in full swing, the public are starting to notice something fishy. Like the Catnap Recall, a news reporter talks about the concerns parents have about the Catnap toy because their kids start to have violent nightmares. So Playtime Co. recalled the Catnap toys, but damage was already done and I believe this became a slight problem for Playtime Co.
The company had to think up a way for the public to calm down and stay away from suspicion. And they came up with a plan.
Framing and making Elliot Ludwig, the Founder of Playtime Co. look like a sick psycho, hiding beneath his friendly-face is something worse.
I believe that Harley or Leith or someone killed a orphan boy at Playcare, took some of their bones and organs out, put him in a duffle bag then placed him inside Elliot's bedroom in his home.
And this seemed to work, with the public distracted by the new discovery of Elliot, Playtime Co. gets away with the experiments.
Elliot did kill a child, but he wasn't sick, he did it so Playtime Co. can shut down and stop the experiments:
This is a very long stretch, I know. But I think it be very unique if Elliot had no idea about the experiments and slowly overtime, he starts to notice something suspicious going on.
I imagine he investigated around for a bit, (like Rowan Stoll from the ARG) and found out about the Bigger Body Initiative. Imagine how horrified Elliot was, realizing the company was doing cruel experiments on orphans and turning them into toys. The complete opposite of what he originally wanted.
And perhaps he learned what happened to employees who knew or tried to expose Playtime Co. for it's experiments, getting killed off. And he tried to think up a good plan, any ways for him to expose the truth. But none seem to work, he knows he would end up dead, even if he was the CEO of Playtime, they could always replace him.
So, he did something he knew he would regret forever.
Killing a child inside his house.
I think Elliot did this because he knew if he did something horrible, the company would have taken some affect and perhaps it'll shut down due to the bad reputation.
And so he did it, he killed a young boy, had some of his skeleton and organs gone and stuff him into a duffle bag and placed it in his bedroom.
That's why Playtime Co. said they'll try and prove his innocents and keep his name on the brand. And I wouldn't be surprise if afterward they killed Elliot for spilling it out or turning him into a toy.

I tend to think that The Prototype is using a child’s voice to appeal to the mc as Ollie. First of all, what is a literal child doing in the factory ten years after it has been shut down? Especially with all those monsters roaming around? And the voice mimic gimmick works with that. Also, Ollie says some things that just don’t work with my idea of how a child is supposed to talk.
“I don’t want you to get killed” sounds kinda weird, as if his sentences were AI generated or as if English isn’t his first language. We have seen Miss Delight and Poppy speak, and they’re dolls, and they still speak quite alright! But then again, we have heard 1006 speak in the tape number 12 and he really sounds like that AM robot from the horror book. “I possess a question” rather than “I’ve got a question”, as any other person would say irl. He’s a bot for sure, but still:
I think that The Prototype might be a mix of several different people who were related to factory. He’s collecting parts of the toys, not caring if they’re hostile to him like Kissy Missy or if they’re actively working to please him like Catnap. Also, the skeletal remains in Catnap’s shrine are indeed of a grown adult. It isn’t like he had no access to kids’ bodies in the Playcare after the Hour Of Joy. I think it’s only fair if the main part - the “brain” of 1006 is Elliot Ludwig. We know him as this engineer, a grown and probably an old man who presumably loved children and had an impact on them through his toys. The reason why he cannot speak properly like other toys is most likely due to his incomplete nature.
If I had to guess what happens in the next chapter, I feel like it’s going to be a major showdown with a hell load of Ludwig’s lore thrown at us. And maybe the way we defeat The Prototype is somehow resembling the Azriel Dreemurr fight from Undertale, with us calling out for different parts of him and basically tearing the parts of him apart.

Cracking Ollie... or, Popping an Ollie Into the Rabbithole
I may be wrong, but honestly something tells me that Ollie is Elliot's child, the family member that he lost. Or at least, he's the byproduct of losing that child.
Tumblr media
This is sort of a MatPat-esque copout, but when you really look at it, it's a little coincidental how close their names are to each other. Ollie, and Elliot. Ollie is quite literally an anagram of Elliot, sans the letter T. And Elliot's wife? Molly. Literally a perfect rhyme. Ollie, and Molly.
The radio broadcasts filtered in during the hallucination sequence makes mention of "bones belonging to a young boy" being found in Elliot's estate.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's never actually specified who in Elliot's family died, but given the fact that the experiments are oriented towards mainly children, it's really easy to assume this is because Elliot lost a child and became engrossed in the concept of eternal life in order to revive his child.
Perhaps this is Ollie's spirit speaking to us directly, or maybe the reason the bones were found in Elliot's estate was because Ollie was successfully transferred into a toy before Elliot's death.
Tumblr media
The dates state that Molly divorced Elliot in 1930, and the family death happened in the 1960s, so it's definitely ambiguous whether the child really is Molly's. However, one could argue that they had the child post-separation many years later, perhaps after trying to fix their relationship.
Unless Ollie was not a child at all when he passed, and was instead born pre-divorce. Perhaps he died as an adult, and was subsequently transferred into the body of a childlike toy, which would explain his knowledge of the factory as well as the childish voice we hear.
Tumblr media
Another theory could be that Elliot named Ollie after his first wife after having her with another woman. After all, we don't know much at all about Elliot's interpersonal relationships. Maybe Ollie was born to a member of staff, a woman working in Playcare.
Tumblr media
Given that we see very caring parental figures in the form of Claire Harper, who is in hysterics over the orphaned Marie Payne being taken in for "treatment" after her encounter with Catnap's red smoke and all. It really could be anyone. Hell, even Stella Greyber is a candidate. We see how much she cares about the kids, and with how high-up in the company she is, there's a good chance she had positive ties with Elliot himself.
At this point, basically anything is a plausible interpretation. Nothing's off the table.
Then again, maybe Elliot created Ollie as his own toy from the very beginning, using the body of an orphan- that very orphan whose bones were found in the estate-, to act as the surrogate son he was never able to have after Molly left him. That would also explain the lack of a face to put to a name.
Tumblr media
If you wanted to go even further, it's entirely possible Ollie could even be the phone itself that we use throughout the chapter, evolved to travel anywhere in the factory in order to always be near his "dad" whilst he worked.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Toy phones are not at all uncommon, and were in fact very popular around the time the lore is said to have taken place (1980s-1990s). Notice the similar features these real life models have to the one in the game, i.e. eyes and bright colors, as well as a mouth.
Back in the days of pre-chapter 2, it was even theorized that Stella Greyber was Poppy herself, a theory still very possible given our stark lack of info on Poppy and with how we see Thomas Clark being inserted into Bron in one of the VHS tapes shown on the official Mob Entertainment YouTube channel.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So who knows? Maybe the name similarity comes from Elliot himself being Ollie, and trying to help the player put a permanent the damage his once-grand empire has created. That mirrors how we don't see either of their faces properly.
Nothing exactly fits perfectly, as the information we have is too vague to even begin fitting pieces together. The point overall, however, being that Ollie was, or is, something or someone very important to the company.
And by extension, very close to Elliot Ludwig.

Okay, Catnap theories.
He is the leader of the cult (his somniferous flock. They are not worshipping HIM but he is guiding them in their worship, like a priest or prophet) that is worshipping the prototype, but the prototype is not entirely on board with it.
The amalgamation seen in the trailer is something the the cult has built, either as an effigy to the prototype or to serve as a new body for him. (I don't believe the prototype is literally just an arm--I think the devs only MODELED the arm because that is all we see and they don't want to give away his full appearance.)
Mommy Longlegs' line "He'll make me part of him"...What the he and the him are referring to TWO DIFFERENT people? Catnap will put any discarded/broken toy into the effigy/new body, and the prototype was trying to SAVE her from that fate.
Now, why hasn't the prototype put a stop to the hero/god worship Catnap is trying to encourage in the other toys? Maybe he can't. At least not without hurting them (physically or emotionally), and if the prototype is Elliot Ludwig then he probably sees correcting the Catnap cult as equivalent of stomping out a bunch of little kids' playing pretend. Or maybe he's afraid they'd turn on him if they knew the truth.

I'm curious to know what was the relationship between Elliot Ludwig and Harley Sawyer aka the Doctor.
Because the Doctor makes his plan very clear in regards to the creation of the bigger bodies initiative.
And the way Elliot talks in the first teaser for chapter 3 suggests he knows what's up.
One does not simply say "we owe everything to the children" without knowing what said children are being used for.
That and a now redacted email in the Poppy Playtime ARG where he says to Leith Pierre "Hey Leith, one of those damn Huggy wuggys is loose."
It feels like they were working together rather than what I assumed with Elliot being killed to silence him when the Doctors plans were revealed.
Gotta wonder what happened to Elliot though, because he does die somewhere along the line.
I don't believe we have a date for that.
And the Doctor feels like he's taken over the company, if you see his lines in Project Playtime.
It just all feels very suspicious.

Was Elliot surprisingly progressive in his day, and in how he ran the company? Like, did he actually hire for diversity and tried to eliminate gender discrimination in the company?
Speaking of that, I’m so proud of girlboss Stella being complicit in crimes that are so beyond a typical law court that politicians are likely going to have to create whole new laws because of Playtime’s scandals! You go girlboss, go!!! XD
Elliot was pretty progressive for his day, yes! All he cared about was to hire people who genuinely wanted to bring happiness to children, and that's it. I don't think he went out of his way to hire for diversify, because liking it or not he was still a white guy born in the 1900s, but I like to think that if he was born at a later age he would have gone out of his way to do that.
ALSO SHOUT OUT TO STELLA AS WELL. GIRLBOSS. DID CRIMES THAT WOULD GIVE WAR VETERAN ELLIOT LUDWIG A HEART ATTACK + A MILLION FLASHBACKS. Honestly I love her so much, I'm trying to make her haunt the narrative a little bit in the AU because for me she's just that iconic.
