Tear down photos of my personal TB-3-GP, Analog bassline synthesizer, or as I like to call her Motoko.
The TB-3 is behringers version of the classic (and completely unavailable) Roland TB-303, the sound of acid. it is also, annoyingly, just slightly wider then my light box, which made taking these photos more of a pain then I expected.
I really like the transparent plastic style on these, really reminds my of stuff I saw as a kid,. I also like that the named the colors as flavors, GP of course standing for grape.
Note the through hole electrolytic, and selected film capacitors, Very nice attention to detail, and good little boost for repairability.
As a synthesizer it is more versatile then I expected it to be, As well as the mandatory acid jams, and some trance, I recently used this to record all the lead lines in my Wagner cover, below.

"I really enjoy DJing and buying AR tracks at Transphonica, as it helps to cut my SFT bills in half. During the week, I take on a couple of jobs on my Polygon Window, just to prevent my rating from dropping too much. I don't have any ambitions to climb the ranks; I simply love the vibrance and life at DJax, and I wouldn't want to miss a single beat." -

I'd like your opinion on something if that's okay?
I'm trying to think of an interesting ear-shape for a character & I specifically wanted them to resemble the wings of a butterfly.
I think the top 2 look a little too much like regular Hylian ears & while the middle 2 are more unique, I honestly like the bottom one.
(Also, the bare areas are lobes.)
They'll likely be elongated, though, as this is supposed to be for a goddess. So, they'd be a bit more the size of Sonia's ears.
Thoughts?
Ah! Finally got enough time between lectures and meetings and everything to get back to this!
Yeah! I like the concept both the fourth and fifth ones, since you're going for that unique shape.
I think the fifth one would work better if you had the ears come out to the side exactly like Sonia's. If you wanted them closer to the head like human ears instead of being out to the side... I'd have to sketch it out. I'd almost think the 4th would work better in that instance but that's just me trying to map it out in my head. Not sure which orientation you want the ears in.

Gang's all here!⚛
These guys are revamps of a revamp of art I made in 8th grade. It was for my science teacher where I humanized subatomic particles (like protons and shit) A.K.A.... The Atoms Family!
Come back in time with me below the cut:
First revamped designs + informative doodles: (2020)
Original designs: (2015 ish?)
Guy in the white & blue hoodie is the Nucleus, which I did make a redesign for in the 2020 version, but I decided not to use.

there's a paper from 2017 on the history of superheavy element searches by helge kragh (arxiv) which goes into the questionable science, fraud, and politics of naming rights. looks like he has a short book about it as well.
here's the abstract:
The heaviest of the transuranic elements known as superheavy elements (SHE) are produced in nuclear reactions in a few specialized laboratories located in Germany, the U.S., Russia, and Japan. The history of this branch of physical science provides several case studies of interest to the philosophy and sociology of modern science. The story of SHE illuminates the crucial notion of what constitutes a chemical element, what the criteria are for discovering a new element, and how an element is assigned a name. The story also cast light on the sometimes uneasy relationship between physics and chemistry. It is far from obvious that elements with Z > 110 exist in the same sense as oxygen or sodium exists. The answers are not given by nature but by international commissions responsible for the criteria and evaluation of discovery claims. The works of these commissions and of SHE research in general have often been controversial.
