i have a sudden adult!miquella (trina) hc which can be seen as a crack (yes it is a beard) but it rents free in my head so finally I feel like sharing so, a concept: miquella (trina) with byzantine basileus image and attributes

there are MANY byzantine homages in elden ring itself and sometimes they are pretty direct. however, those designs of mine aren’t well adapted to the lands between aesthetics but I think they are illustrative enough even just in terms of vibes

(also malenia as a varangian guard reference just tastes pretty good imo)

Here's some extra tidbit from my friend @dayzadraws for making the Pebbles and arti doodle worse because I said that Pebbles was long gone from the rot and arti is still aware :))))

Last few tidbits on the doodles I wanna share :

Riv and saint would be besties, saint pretends theyre annoyed but really theyre not

I broke the one sacret rule of the rw community of never making pebbles tall and/or cool have mercy

My friend and i were debating on whether to have anthro-arti like riv is to moon or steed-arti like in elden ring so i combined them kinda

Also come on. Suns gave the rot to pebbles in rain world. Malenia gave rot to Radahn in their fight. Its RIGHT THERE

How much do you want to bet that Messmer isn’t Miquella’s other half but rather Godywn’s spirit. Considering some of the Empyreans we know of have a male and female counterpart similar to the rebis in alchemy, such as Marika and Radagon, we already know that Miquella has St. Trina as his female counterpart.

I know this might sound a bit whack and I don’t have a solid theory but Godwyn was heavily associated with dragons whilst alive, and Messmer seems to have extremely strong links with dragons, namely the dragon communion eyes and having armour similar to the Drake Knight set. Also Placidusax and Fortissax use spears of lightning, Fortissax taught Godwyn how to wield lightning which would likely look like their spears as well, and Messmer uses a spear and can summon spears from the ground.

Also the fire that Messmer summons seems to have thorns coming out of it that seem similar to the Death Blight thorns, and Godwyn is shown to be the cause of Death Blight in the Lands Between.

We know that Miquella is tied to Castle Sol whose aim was to bring forth the eclipse, and the spirit says that Miquella’s comrade remains “soulless.” Bringing forth an eclipse would cast the land in shadows, and Messmer appears to be the ruler of the Land of Shadows, based on the official art of him on a throne. Also also Castle Sol and the Haligtree are near the Consecrated Snowfield where there are the impaled corpses of dead giants, so it’s likely that Messmer is at least linked to it.

This isn’t a fully formed theory so if anyone has any other ideas to add on to this I’d be more than happy to read them.

And so the saga ends with this massive thing with one last concept courtesy of @transgenderfivepebbles and @spontyfandoms because youre so right, both games have freaky void worms. Any other concept tho i have no idea if it can work or not because rw's cast is not as big as elden ring. Heck i don't even know who Sig can be because i'm stretching the cast super thin lmao

Also apologies for the super long post because my storyboard for this comic is super janky and that made some of the pages here like... 1500 x 4000 px. Which should be fine in PC krita but I'm doing this comic in my very old tablet because i told myself I wouldn't render this too much but uh... yeah. This also caused much lags but it was worth.
