This is the second part of a comic of the "quartets of evil" book by akuno-p featuring a false goddess and an angsty teen.
I don't have a lot to say about this one, except for a few facts about Held, in the series:
Held would be regarded in the japanese culture as a [御神木]("sacred tree"), the likes of which were worshipped a lot in the japanese history, especially in the shintoist religion.
Held directly references another "sacred tree" from the norse mythlogy (yggdrasil), hence Held's family name ("Yggdra").
Sometimes I'm tempted to call Held's name "Eld" instead of "Held", and that's for a few reasons:
one of those is how akuno actually translated the name of the tree as "Eld" in the official english title of the song "tree maiden ~millennium wiegenlied~": "spirit of Eld" (as Michaela is one of his underlings in the series).
Another reason for this is his role in the series: he is a senior (in the "Cambridge" dictionary also known as "elder", if you look up the meaning of "elder" there) of the facility in which Levia, Behemo, and a few others who worked or studied under (like Seth, in the construction of the original "black box" or Rahab Barisol, another one from the same clinic, and so on...).
The ‘swap’ was a special psychiatric examination technique discovered and advocated for by the head of this facility, professor Held Yggdra. ("muzzle of nemesis" novel, prologue).
Held was always regarded respectfully as a "professor" in the series by his ex-colleagues, as he was someone who used to be their boss or teacher, in the second period.
I also imagine Held to be a man of old age, even (considering the time he may have had to become a judge and a boss of a clinic in the second period) and in the third period he was an old tree that sleeps frequently (as a lot of old people do, even in real life).
Held was also the boss and a senior compared to every character that has died before the Held-Luna vs Levia-Behemo controversy in the "climb one" and reincarnated as an animal, in the series.
Therefore, I think that Held's name is supposed to be a reference to the fact that he's probably an old man and a senior professor and chief both among his colleagues in the second period and among the "forest spirits" in the third period.
A third reason why I think Held's name is actually supposed to be "Eld" is because of the "sns" group chat Levia, Behemo, Sickle and Held after the false utopia of the "fourth period" is established.
E:<…Is this really alright?…>
L:<It’s fine, isn’t it? This is the world he wanted. It’s not up to us to speak up on it>
[...]
B:<Your old-man complaints are getting tiresome, E. We’ve got no choice but to watch over it, now. That’s what you guys originally wanted from the start, isn’t it? –Well, S?>
S:<Ha ha, it’s as B says. I don’t mind this outcome myself. …by the by, I found this article on a news site> ("master of the heavenly yard" novel, chapter 12, section 3).
If you notice, the characters are identified by their initials (Sickle, Behemo, Levia...) and Held's initial is not "H", but "E" as in "Eld".
A similar speech can be done regarding the name of the "black boxes" of the second period, as they're named after the first letter of the name of their constructor (or rather, the character that is the boss over their construction) :
"black box type l" -> Levia
"black box type s" -> Seth
"black box type e" (the first model of the "black box", for which Held was the overseer of the construction) -> Eld.
Important disclaimer (must read):
Of course, this is not for the purpose of scolding whoever calls the character Held (as I did the same in this very post lol, for habit), neither to cause controversy. This is just a reflection. For me you can call the evillious characters and Eld in whichever way you like, as long as I understand what you are talking about, even "Heldoh", "Eldoh", "Eldo" or "Erudoh" (even though this last one sounds pretty bad, honestly).
As for me, I simply like sticking to the assumed original intentions of the author, as I usually do here, trying to stick to the "canon" of the series as much as possible.
For that reason, I may end up using the name "Eld" for "Held", and in that case, I don't want anyone to question which character I'm referring to: with "Eld" I don't talk about any oc or unknown character, I'm talking about Held.
Also please, you're invited to avoid correcting people about what they decide to call this character, we have been using the name "Held" for so many years and I don't expect anyone to suddenly change that unless they want to.

The reason i think francois is mrs yggdra is that Josephine mentioned that she thinks her mother lived in the forest. Speaking of held, maybe it should be translated as Eld. We have tree maiden and his online handle is E. So That’s two sources as opposed to the one booklet.
She speculates that her mother might have lived in the forest as a reason why she can understand human speech. She doesn't know or have reason to suspect that's the case outside of that. And even if Francois was (not to repeat myself), it is way too big an assumption to then conclude that she must have been Held's wife.
And as to Held being Eld, possibly, but I won't. We know it's certainly meant to be pronounced as "Eld", but I don't find the English titles to be compelling evidence of anything (considering they use non-canon names all the time, like "Belphegor's Gift" for Sleep Princess).
With one piece of compelling evidence for, and the other against (and honestly I find the booklet evidence more unambiguous than Held's online handle letter), I'm going to stick to Held. While Held might not be a convincing name in English, Eld is even less so.
I grant you it's not a clear-cut discussion, especially given Elphegort being derived from his name ("Heldogort/Eldogort" being what the country used to be called, apparently), but I'm afraid I'll personally need more concrete arguments before I go through and rewrite the name of a character that shows up...many times throughout the series,

“Eld”, not “Held”
I’m guessing there was a final consensus on the Evillious Chronicles wiki a few years back on how to translate names, but I think Held was intended by mothy to be spelled in English as “Eld”.
Reasons why:
Held’s name in Japanese is written as エルド, or “erudo”. This would directly translate into “Eld”.
The English title of Tree Maiden ~Millenium Wiegenlied~ (“Spirit of ELD”) would then be a direct reference to Held, referring to how Michaela was a forest spirit serving the god “Eld”.
Elphegort’s original name, エルドゴート, is said to be named after Held. If Held was “Eld”, then Elphegort was originally called “Eldogort”. It makes more sense for “Elphegort” to be derived from “Eldogort” than “Heldogort”.
In the Fourth Period, Held’s online handle in the ‘Evillious’ SNS group chat is “E”. Seeing how Levia and Behemo’s handles are “L” and “B” respectively, it can be inferred that Held’s name in English is supposed to start with the letter “E”.
Being named “Eld” ties in with Held being one of the older members of the Climb One crew and his general association with age (Behemo calls him “old man”).
