#months ago i did this recreation of ingrid bergman's 1950s test shot that i can't find fo course #and it showed of my silk shawl so nicely i had to give it pride of place #ecoprinting #it's the printing of actual leaves on silk and it's so cool #my avocado plant is on there #and a tree in my mum's garden #it's the softest thing i own #the artist is an amazing felt and silk artist #she does beautiful flower shawls #silk #almost my face #talia is a drama queen #black and white #costume dramatics #a talia original #i have once more lost the ability to do alt text on desktop and now it won't let me edit on mobile :/

I'm doing a sample book class in summer, so I wanted to make some ecoprints to bind in one of them. I'm really kind of happy with these.

FROM THE GARDEN: NOVEMBER 2019 (2023)

From the Garden: November 2019 (book) is part of a series of ecodyed works I created in November 2019, when I was first experimenting with the process. The prints were created by layering foliage collected from my garden onto long strips of paper, and wrapping them around rusted tin cans, which were boiled with onion skins for about an hour. The lines of the tin can and the lines of the string I used to tie the paper around the can are visible within these prints.
