When your trying to make Jamie Oliver’s sticky lamb chops & you have no oranges... you make do with orange juice (left over from mimosas -don’t judge!) & lemon zest, then you grab whatever is still producing in the garden, like cherry tomatoes & zucchini. The carrots were harvested recently & are so bright & fresh! We like things spicy so I added a dollop if hot pepper jelly. Copycat Panera Four Cheese Soufflés on the grill baked in my adorable Ovenware, Pyrex and CorningWare. I added Fresh garden zucchini this time and used Satori BellaVitano, Monterey, cottage cheese and ricotta. I just picked up two Corelle cornflower plates at the grocery store of all places! I declared it #potato & #carrot #harvest day! In the spring I tossed some sprouty baby purple potatoes in a potato bag added some dirt from time to time. Year two. Not a huge harvest but not bad for one small bag. I planted some red potatoes but I don’t think they were sprouty enough. I just planted some sprouty white and pink fingerlings. Maybe more potatoes in the late fall?  I’m sure this evening you’ll see these cuties all roasted up! I’m not much of a pie baker but I did make some phyllo zapple dessert bites. Thanks for the inspiration @thedirtmag ! It totally tastes like apple pie filling! Cinnamon, vanilla, butter, sugar, zucchini, and corn starch. Some fresh lemon squeezed in there too. It’s zucchini and squash season! This dinner quiche tarte thingy was made with leftover street taco tortillas, raw fresh picked zucchini zoodles and squash squoodles, eggs, a bit of flour and baking powder all pressed into a pie pan and thrown on the grill until puffed and cooked through.
