I know you mentioned that Lav would think that peanut butter wasn’t sweet enough, but I was buying ingredients for sandwiches in Violet, and noticed that the flavor text for peanut butter said this:

“A very sweet condiment. People in Paldea seem to favor the sweet varieties over the unsweetened.”

So now I’m wondering if Randy and Akoya just keep unsweetened in the house, since they wouldn’t like the sugary version, and if Lav would like the sweetened Paldean variety if she tried it?

Maaaaayyyybbbeeee she would, but I kinda see the stickiness falling into the "dry" category, which she hates. So I feel like they may cancel each other out, leaving her tolerating it rather than liking it.

Today one of my favorite customers came in (the Harrison Ford guy lol) and because I was tired and wheezy and whatever else comes with a cold, I was a freaking annoying chatterbox and kept switching topics from Boys in the Boat to Masters of the Air (cause we’ve talked about both) and he goes:

“Will you take offense if I call you crazy in the best kind of way?”

Me: *stops talking for a minute* “No…?”

Customer: “You, my dear, are a little crazy.”

Me: “Well… I mean… I’m a nerd…?”

Customer: “I have three daughters and you remind me of my youngest.”

Me: “Is she the one you said likes Boys in the Boat?”

Customer: “Oh she’s obsessed. With Masters of the Air too. You’re so much like her. Which is scary. It really scares me that there’s two of you.”

Me: “Aw I’d love to meet her! I’m sure we’d get along well!”

Customer: “Oh I know you’d hit it right off! But I will say that I understand why you two love the Boys so much; it was a great uplifting movie:.”

Me: “Oh I know!!!! If Hollywood made more stuff like that they wouldn’t be in as much trouble.”

Customer: “Yup, I agree; it was a GOOD movie.”

Me: “With a beautiful cast too.”

Customer: “Oh my gosh you are JUST LIKE my daughter! Have a great weekend, young lady!”

Good things about getting old

One of the good things about getting old is that I can see advice, including advice from respected professionals, and say "Yeah, whatever, I'm going to keep doing what I know works for me" and proceed to completely ignore it without a shred of guilt or misgiving.

Another nice thing about getting older is that after years of experience, when I slop some milk into a pan to make Mexican chocolate I usually end up with the exact amount I need for my favorite mug.

I had the fucking best plotted dream ever last night. Like blockbuster movie kind of plot.

#it was AMAZING #get this okay #a mega storm comes across the earth and sent humanity into a apocalyptic state bc of the destruction #those with resources rebuilt (the rich) while everyone else is still just trying to recover #i was with a group when the storm hit and there was this man #this aweful horrible sick man #and he did something unspeakable to this girl and when he was caught he ran off #i was so filled with rage i decided to hunt him down and i did find him #he was with some uber rich guy and his wife hiding out under this guse #i befriend the wife with the idea of getting up into their appartment to go onto the computers and find info on the bad guy #and it works! #but her husband is home with another business guy #luckily hes attractive and im dressed all pretty so the wife (whose off her rocker from drinking) and i go feel up these guys #and it turns out the bad guy was found out! and this rich people are kind of good!! #bc they dismembered him and put his parts in a freezer while keeping his body alive #but i still want him dead so i sneak off to try and find him #and then i woke up #but the anger i feel about what that man did still seeps from my pores #and whats worse is that no matter how horrible it was in my dream the chances of someone actually doing it arent unrealistic #GROSS GROSS MEN EW UGH #nemos thoughts

Whenever I see fancasts of Victor Vale, it’s always for college-era or Vicious-era Victor. There’s a serious lack of scruffy, upper-thirties Vic. So here’s my current fancast/face claim of him:

Ryan Guldemond, AKA the lead singer of Mother Mother (I don’t know if fancasts are supposed to be actors or not, but I’m just gonna roll with this).

Don’t believe me? Go watch their “The Drugs” music video (especially 2:20-2:35) and get back to me. He has it all- super-sharp facial features, pale blonde hair that could easily be combed back, and a really, really intense stare. He’s also 35, so he’s in the right age range.
