I'm down with a bad cold but I really wanted to draw this after it came to me in a vision. I even tried to mimick the art style of the comic the OG reaction image is from. Hope it's as funny as my illness-plauged brain thought it was

It's so good to hear directly from Jonathan himself again! Oh how I've missed him. It nearly brought a tear to my eye when Jonathan realized that the ordeal he went through was real and not a figment of his fevered imagination like so many people tried to make him believe. Bless Dr. Van Helsing for putting his doubts to rest, and bless the man for rescuing that child.
I do wish he and Seward would stop calling all the children "it" though. At the hospital, there was a little boy as the patient. The doctor their referred to the child as "he," but Seward and Dr. Van Helsing just kept saying "it" even after that. It's quite amusing in a way, how they insist on calling children "it" like they're little gremlins or goblins instead of human beings.

When I find most upsetting in today’s entry is Dr. Seward’s dismissal of Lucy’s very detailed and accurate account—
"In God's name, what does it all mean? Was she, or is she, mad; or what sort of horrible danger is it?" I was so bewildered that I did not know what to say more
He immediately jumped to “she must be insane.” I think this is part of why VanHelsing hasn’t been upfront with everything because he knows that Seward will not be open to what’s actually happening
The first step to saving Lucy, saving everyone, and defeating Dracula… Is to believe in the mysterious horrors, and believe there is Dracula
And Jack just isn’t making the effort

Jack Seward in 15 minutes on a maths paper lol
Couldn’t think of anything else to draw to keep me sane in maths so I doodled Jack Seward on my practice paper.
I can’t quite capture how insane and disheveled he SHOULD look I’m afraid and anyway this took me 15 minutes so y’know.
I legitimately don’t remember how the book describes him but this is how I imagined him when my ten year old ass looked at the sad wet cat character among the several excellent specimen in that book and was like “That’s the one. That’s who’s going to inspire 5+ years of writing.”

Mina: Oh, my friends, you know as well as I do, that my soul is at stake... Professor, are you quite alright?
Dr. VH: *laughs till he cries*
Jonathan: I fail to see what's so—
Dr. VH: *cries till he laughs*
Arthur: Doctor, explain yourself!
Dr. VH: Arthur, dear lad, you should know of us all.
Everyone else but Jack: *confused staring*
Jack, muttering: Oh, God.
Dr. VH: Miss Mina, her soul *mimes stabbing* is at stake?
Arthur & Jonathan: *leap at Dr. VH in gentlemanly indignation, yammering incoherently*
Quincey: *easily holds both of them back*
Seward, dragging Dr. VH away: Now is not the time for King Laugh.
Dr. VH: *crying & laughing till he can't breathe, echoing down the hall*
Mina, to us:

Poor Mina, I hate for her to find out about Lucy's death through Van Helsing— a man she doesn't even know, and through a telegram no less! Then she had to help Jonathan deal with having a "relapse" of his "malady." I can't wait for her to read his journal and realize it's PTSD, and not Jonathan having "fits" or being "crazy." It's a result of him being tortured by a monster that's now in London. The very same monster that not only tried to kill Jonathan, but has succeeded in killing her best friend.
