Time and time again, people have tried to discredit Alphys' work in the Determination Experiments by crediting at least some of the True Lab entries to Gaster. A recent theory making the rounds has once again misled people into taking this as fact, and in this video, I take a critical look at the entries to prove that Alphys wrote all of them as well as debunking several of the arguments used to claim that Gaster was involved. Sources include both Undertale and Deltarune, the Undertale Gaster twitter takeovers, the Legends of Localization book, and the recent Valentines newsletter. My goal in this video is to put this argument to rest, as it relies on many cherrypicked pieces of information that really don't hold up under scrutiny and are a disservice to Alphys and Gaster both.

You know, it makes sense that Alphys Undertale hates Mew Mew 2 and Alphys Deltarune likes it.

I mean, Alphys Undertale has had a really dark life. The amalgamate situation has really messed her up, of course she’d look to her favorite show for relief.

Whereas, as far as we can tell, Alphys Deltarune has had a pretty cushy life. She’s probably tired of the mundanity of her every day, and therefore revels in the darker tones of Mew Mew 2.

Makes me wonder if Alphys Undertale grows to appreciate Mew Mew 2 after a few years on the surface.

When i was 10-11 years old and still new to the undertale fandom, i would imagine little skits in my head involving the characters in a sort of tumblr "ask undertale" blog kinda way (...which might've partially been influenced by the fact that my sister and i were running an undertale ask page on vine at the time but i digress) and a recurring joke in my imagined skits was that mettaton liked toast. Tbh i only really did this because LAWL RANDOM XD but i remember trying to justify it in my head as "OH HE LIKES TOAST BECAUSE IT'S HOT LIKE HIM!!!"

...anyway, this is relevant bc i remembered this little anecdote about my younger days and wanted to draw something sorta related to that
