When He Sings You To Sleep ~ Day6 Reaction
Sungjin:
The feeling of you shuffling made Sungjin turn too, immediately coming face to face with you. “You’re not still awake, are you?” He frowned, picking up on the fact that you’d been having a restless night.
Your head nodded as a pout formed in your expression, “I just wish there was something that would help me to sleep.”
“I could help,” Sungjin quickly suggested, an air of confidence in his voice. “What about if I sing to you for a little while? That always seems to help you fall asleep.”
“But you need to sleep too,” you retorted, only to quickly be shushed by Sungjin. The look in his eyes let you know how serious he was, desperate to try and help you sleep. “Only if you’re absolutely sure Sungjin.”
A faint hum came from him, “of course, you just close your eyes and let me do the rest.”
“You make it sound so easy,” you giggled as you made yourself comfortable once again, “sleeping isn’t quite that simple.”

Young K:
Your eyes lit up as Younghyun agreed to sing for you as you made yourself comfortable in his lap. “The big decision now is what song you want me to sing for you,” he told you, not knowing your mind was already made up.
Your head turned so that you were looking up at Younghyun, “you know I love whenever you sing Fly Me To The Moon.”
“I knew you were going to say that,” he chuckled, reading you like a book. “Are you sure that you’re not bored of listening to me sing the same song to you over and over?”
“No way,” you smirked, popping each of the sounds whilst Younghyun placed his hand against your side. “There’s no way that I could ever get bored of listening to it, you and that song are the perfect combination.”
He couldn’t help but smile as Younghyun listened to you, “you need to close your eyes in that case.”
“I can do that,” you assured him, hurrying to close your eyes and make yourself comfy. “Now you need to start singing.”
“A singer needs time to warm up Y/N.”
Wonpil:
A soft smile formed on your face as you were woken by the sound of singing, your eyes slowly opening and looking to your left. “I can’t sing you to sleep if you’re awake,” Wonpil scolded as he noticed you.
Your smile turned up even more as you stirred, “why would I want to sleep when I could listen to you singing instead?”
“I’m only singing if you sleep, because I know you’re tired,” Wonpil told you, poking his tongue out at the same time too. “If you don’t close your eyes, we can sit in silence.”
“Since when were you so mean to me?” You chuckled back across to Wonpil, your voice groggy from how sleepy you were. “Why can’t you just sing to me to make me close my eyes and want to fall asleep?”
Wonpil’s head reluctantly nodded back at you, “as long as you promise to try and get some rest.”
“I promise,” you agreed with him, “but you can’t stop singing just because you think I’m asleep, you have to be sure.”
“I’ll make sure that I check you’re definitely asleep.”
Dowoon:
You looked dejectedly across at Dowoon as his head shook in rejection to your suggestion. “I’m not singing you to sleep, my singing voice is rubbish,” he protested, bringing a groan of frustration out of you.
You poked against his arm as his head started shaking, “I think you’ve got a great singing voice, no one else can hear us too.”
“What about if I hum?” Dowoon proposed instead, “or maybe I could just tap my hand against the side of the bed to give you a beat to fall asleep to instead?”
“I said I wanted you to sing me to sleep,” you swiftly reminded him, meeting his eyes with a firm gaze. “If I love your singing voice, what’s stopping you from singing? You know that I love listening to you too.”
Dowoon looked sceptically back to you, “you really think that it can help you to fall asleep?”
“I could not be surer,” you chimed, the smile on your face growing. “What do you say? Are you going to sing for me?”
“I guess seeing as you asked so nicely.”

BANNANA DIVISION AUDTION : prompt 1
COUNT : 385 words
entering the room, dowoon was nervous. this was a big opportunity for him and he wanted to do well. acting was one of his side goals (outside of being an idol) so he wanted to take every opportunity he could to act. he felt fairly confident in his acting abilities, he been complimented on them, but this was a comedy and he didn’t think of himself as particularly funny. he could crack a joke every now and then, and he had been on a couple variety shows in the past, but he had never felt confident. still, he was determined to try!
when he walked in, he bowed and introduced himself politely, as well as his imagined character. he had worked fairly hard in his free time on who he wanted to portray, and thought that choi hangil could be a funny character if given the right writing.
once he explained all he could about his character, the director gave him his assigned scenario. getting into characters, he began to explain his plan. “well at least it wasn’t my fault this time—not that i would ever do something that idiotic…well maybe that once, but that was right when i’m started. i’m a seasoned professional now.” the director asked when he had started, “a month ago.”
he spoke with unearned confidence, giving an attitude that he knew exactly what to do and how to do it. he smirked and smiled as he spoke, doing his best to ooze confidence and a nonchalant attitude. “but, i would get in front of whoever we’re presenting to and lay on the charm, i mean who could rest this face?” he pointed to himself, hiding the cringe that was inside him. “then, i would go to whoever lost the files—which was definitely NOT me—and give them a piece of my mind. how dare they screw this up for ME? have they no sympathy?? it’s hard enough having to balance coming to work and a social life, now i actually have to work while i’m here? terrible…”
he ended his audition by thanking the director and casting agents for their time and the chance politely, bowing as he did so. he left the audition not feeling great about his chances, but with his patented optimism that it would turn out alright.

LGC TRAINEE MISSIONS • JOURNAL ENTRY
Dear Journal,
it’s the 27th of January and I got my acceptance letter. They’re still checking for my eligibility for a scholarship so until then my status is on hold but I basically just signed myself up for 3- if not more years of a production major in university. Making music has always been part of the dream I came to love when I signed with my old agency all these years ago.
Not only would it be a waste to let all this training and knowledge go to waste but I also really, really want to keep working in this industry. Can I even say keep if I haven’t debuted yet? I’m just some faceless nobody in a sea of talented hopefuls and have been for over 7 years now. I really thought last year would have finally been the year I’d make it out of the routine of a trainee. What am I lacking still? Am I really giving too much time away to others so no one ever recognizes my own talents?
I don’t want to think that I’m just not enough.
Whatever reason it is, mum says I should start preparing for the worst case scenario. I really, really, REALLY want to debut. I don’t want to be the only one out of Parker, Wook, Tee, Keeho, Daeho, Jinyoung, Jinseo, Dowoon- I don’t want to be the only one that didn’t make it out. But she’s right. When they called us all together after the debut camp I felt like maybe I was just too honest. The lessons helped to work my way around intrusive questions with pretty words so I can protect my privacy better. It’s amazing how I still keep learning.
I just feel.... a little bit like I failed Yohan. I was the leader, I should have protected him. Maybe if I’d covered for him better he wouldn’t have gotten into trouble... but maybe that’s also too intrusive of me. He has his own privacy after all. I just wish things had ended differently. Maybe if this hadn’t happened they’d have added us to LGC Boys. I keep thinking of all these ‘ifs’ that never happen, clinging to them like that’d change anything.
I’m officially in my fifth year in legacy. I don’t know if they’ll drop me any time soon or if they do plan to debut me. I’ll just take day by day, look forward to university and all I’m going to learn on top of my normal training. The volunteer and workshops kind of felt a bit like a collateral punishment but I like doing things for others either way and the additional means of protecting what’s dear to me while refreshing my knowledge about the company and their established groups don’t hurt me for sure. So all in all I think it’s going to be a successful and fulfilling trimester! I hope Hayley, Haeun, Yohan and Kiha are okay.

LEGACY PROJECT: FUTURE DREAM S005 ( SCENARIOS )
SCHEDULE TYPE: TRIMESTER / WEEKLY
SCHEDULE RESTRICTIONS: Cannot be paired with another trimester schedule, unless stated otherwise
like mentioned in the sign-ups post, every week ( until JULY 3 ) we will give the contestants one prompt in which you would have to answer in a form of a 300+ WORD SOLO. while you are not required to do these prompts, it is beneficial if you want to earn additional points for the first part of FUTURE DREAMS S5. please note that the point rewards you will get for completing these tasks will be revealed after the first part has been released!
WEEK 3 ( JUNE 19 – JUNE 25 )
it’s been a few weeks into the preparations and each of the trainees are excused once again to one of the meeting rooms where they are met with the pd of the show. the pd reveals to the trainee that one of the systems they have brought back from previous seasons was the RANKING SYSTEM. the trainee is then requested to look at the monitor where they will be asked to rank themselves among their peers. for this, they will be ranking themselves against everyone that is participating in this season. the PD tells them to rank themselves ( 1-25, with 1 being the best and 25 being the worst ) on whether they suit the definition of “the best trainee” ( this is based on skill set, personality, experience, etc ). they are also given the list of trainees participating, which is the following:

Days Ended with Prayers
Love has always been an emotion too big for a tiny heart.
For years, the word love seems to me like a foreign language stranded somewhere inside my head, too hard to comprehend, too heavy to carry. It’s always trying to find a way out - but even when it does, it would stuck on the tip of my tongue, having no voice.
And so, for a procrastinator and perfectionist like me, to love is a task I’d rather put aside, for it requires a big heart I do not have yet.
There is always a fear of the unknown, of the worst scenario of everything, of the unexplainable doubts screaming - do I deserve this?
But it is the days ended with prayer,
more thank you(s) rather than good bye(s),
or a simple wish of blessing in the morning
that slowly shifts the fear away, leaving some space and spotlight for hope.
Through the eyes of hope, love doesn’t seem so heavy anymore. It’s light, and easy, and sure, and honest. It doesn’t require perfection. It’s not demanding - it’s giving. Through hope, love comes so naturally despite imperfection and all the neverthelessness. I'd love to sing love songs without my tongue tripping; I'd love to use the word love for as much as I can - if I may; And I'd love for as well as this tiny heart can afford.
Do you know when you have both fear and hope, you’d most likely have the urge to pray? You’re so afraid of something but you know there is a hope, therefore you pray. And so, these days, rather than avoiding and putting love aside, I find myself praying for a bigger heart instead - so that I may love and be loved.
Dowoon once said, “It is because we are loved that we learn to love.”
For letting me learn by loving me first, thank you.

இ FIRST LOVE இ
In all of his acting career, Minjae had hardly had to act as if he were in love. Most of his roles were not romantic in nature. Even if they were, he couldn’t remember if he’d ever had to act in the way that the audition brief suggested. Minjae had only been in love once or twice so he wasn’t incredibly experienced. He was surprised that he somehow had something with Dowoon. What that something was, they hadn’t spoken about yet. But it was something, and he would use that to help fuel his emotions during the scene.
Having to act with a camera and not an actual person was a new experience for him. Minjae saw that as a challenge and a learning experience for him. If he wanted to be a successful actor, he needed to be able to adapt and push himself. He was ready for the challenge that this audition would bring him.
Minjae had spent some time asking as many people as he could about their first love and also researching dramas and movies. He was able to build up some ideas in his head and when he finally settled on what he wanted to film, Minjae arranged everything so it would be ready.
Turning to his best friend to help, Minjae had chosen a day to film his audition where the weather was good. Of course, it wasn’t the idea weather that suited his scenario, but there were ways he could work around it. Ideally, Minjae would have liked snow but he was able to make his own fake snow that would suffice for now. After he had made sure that Teddy knew what he needed to do, Minjae was ready to film.
The recording started with a slowmo Minjae and Teddy running, with Minjae holding his arm behind him as if he were holding a hand and running with someone (he was actually holding Teddy’s hand but that’s not important). He kept looking behind him and smiling at his ‘co-star’. After running for a few seconds, Minjae stopped and the video went to normal speed. Suddenly, snow began to fall and Minjae held out his hand. He then turned to the camera. ❛ Oh look. First snow. You know what they say about seeing first snow together, right? ❜ He smiled softly. He then turned so his body was facing the camera and he reached forward as if he were brushing hair behind an ear. ❛ This is our first of many first snows together. ❜ He then wrapped his arm around the camera as if he were wrapping them around his co-star. Both Minjae and the camera then turned to face the snow once again as they watched it.

When You Sleepily Lay Down In His Lap ~ Day6 Reaction
Sungjin:
A light chuckle escaped from you as a hand tickled against your waist, your eyes flickering up at Sungjin. “Did I tickle?” He innocently asked as he watched you.
Your eyes rolled at the knowing look that was on Sungjin’s face, “you know exactly what you’re doing, you can never just leave me to close my eyes.”
Sungjin’s shoulders shrugged as he continued to joke around with you, “I just thought you’d like for me to hold onto your waist, keep you still so you don’t fall off of my lap.”
“I won’t fall,” you chuckled, “I’m buried in nice and snug against your lap now.”
“Isn’t it better to just be sure Y/N?”
Your head shook back at Sungjin, “if you keep tickling me then you know that I’ll find a way to get you to pay for it, you’ll regret doing this.”
“You would never be able to get revenge on me,” Sungjin challenged, watching your eyes widen at his suggestion.
“Are you really willing to try me though Sungjin?”
“Maybe I’ll move my hand after all.”
Young K:
A slight hum came from you as fingers tangled in with your hair, tugging against you gently. “Sorry, sorry,” Youngkyun stuttered as he played with your hair.
A chuckle came from you as Youngkyun loosened his grip, twirling your hair around. “I thought you said that it would be cosy for me to lay in your lap?”
Youngkyun’s head shook as you messed with him in reply to his apology. “It is cosy, just when I’m careful with your hair. To be fair, it’s not my fault your hair is so much a mess.”
“Hey,” you gasped, “my hair is definitely not a mess, it’s just a little stressed.”
“Not now I’ve taken care of it though.”
You nodded in agreement with Youngkyun, “I guess laying in your lap has its perks, especially when you decide you want to play with my hair.”
“I was supposed to make you sleepy playing with your hair,” Youngkyun admitted, knowing his clumsiness hadn’t quite managed it.
“Maybe if you’re careful I can get some rest.”
“I promise I’ll be more careful now.”
Wonpil:
Your head shook as Wonpil’s hands tapped into his lap, encouraging you to lay down there. “You’re tired, come and lay in my lap so you can rest Y/N.”
You were still apprehensive as Wonpil took a hold of your hand, “I don’t want to get in your way by laying in your lap, you won’t be able to move your legs.”
As you continued to protest, Wonpil decided to take your hand and pull you down so that you were in his lap. “I wouldn’t offer to let you lay in my lap if I was bothered by it silly.”
“You could just be being nice,” you teased, “you might just feel bad for me.”
“I do feel bad that you’re feeling tired.”
You smiled up at Wonpil as you turned to be able to look up at him, “it’s just been a busy day at work, you should know, you have plenty of those too.”
“So, next time I have a busy day, does that mean that I can rest in your lap too?” He questioned, willing you to nod your head in reply.”
“How badly do you want me to agree to that?”
“Honestly, Y/N, you have no idea.”
Dowoon:
Your smile turned up even higher as an arm draped around your waist, glancing up you met the eyes of Dowoon straight away. “Are you comfortable there?”
Your head nodded straight away as you pulled Dowoon’s arm even tighter around your frame, “it’s always comfortable for me whenever I lay down in your lap.”
A nod of the head came from Dowoon as he continued to watch you closely, “are you sure that I can’t get you a cushion or something to rest your head on, make you even cosier?”
“Then I wouldn’t be laying in your lap,” you joked, “it would be a cushion.”
“You might hurt yourself in my lap.”
Your head shook in response to Dowoon, “if I’m uncomfortable then I promise that I’ll tell you so that you can look after me and cuddle me some more.”
“I don’t need you to be uncomfortable for me to cuddle you,” Dowoon assured you, deciding to snuggle down even closer to you.”
“I think that I could get pretty used to this.”
“I think that I could enjoy this too.”

𝕤𝕠𝕝𝕠 | 𝕞𝕦𝕤𝕚𝕔𝕒𝕝 𝕒𝕦𝕕𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟
after some deliberation of song choices with recommendations that his friends and colleagues gave him, it’s no surprise: jisoo went with none of them. he chose something that felt much more comfortable for his vocal range, and his ( lack ) of comfort with actually performing alone. that’s why the solo evaluations always made him feel utterly miserable every single time they came up in the two years where he was a trainee. he was always significantly behind the other trainees in his opinion, and even if you compared his dancing to dowoon at the start, in the present today, it was vastly different. perhaps it’s the lack of passion that is jisoo’s true downfall. but if that is it, and he’s getting cozier with modeling, then surely he wouldn’t be forcing himself to do anything he doesn’t like to do - in theory.
but here he is, wide eyed, and trying to hide that he is on edge, as he prepares to showcase one half of a song, only because it was a male and female duet, but he thinks it’ll show that while his range is lower, jisoo remains on tune & his voice can come across melodious and at least, not obnoxious in an ensemble. ( that and the dance moves, while amateur, are doable. ) and so let’s cue : a lovely night, from la la land...”the sun is nearly gone, the lights are turning on, a silver shine that stretches to the sea...” he begins to sing, doing his best to get comfortable with the routine that he’s practiced multiple times before, going through the verse, while doing his best to persevere with the best in-character rendition that he can personally do with his skillset, “what a waste of a lovely night.”
when given the scenarios, jisoo finds this part much more on the spot, in contrast to the singing and dancing portions. there wasn’t clear preparation for this, and ultimately selecting option c, he hopes it’s the one that’ll showcase his acting chops the best. ( granted - that’s pretty limiting but.. hey, it’s an effort. he’s not going for main here. ) feigning the movement of holding a cellphone, jisoo begins to look worried, voice firm but hushed as he replies to his ‘friend on the phone’, “what’s the matter? did you need something? are you alright? if you’ll know, i’m already on my way, so it shouldn’t be more than fifteen minutes. but you don’t normally call when i run errands, so- something must be bothering you...”
