Occasionally DK with call Bloom Firecracker from their youth due to Bloom having trouble breathing fire when she was younger.

For DK and Bloom, how would one react to the other crying?

Bloom would be the type who would instantly pull people into a hug seeing them cry. As for DK, I feel like he gets nervous and awkwardly tries to comfort anyone who is shedding tears the best as he can. But with each other, especially if it was the first time they saw each other crying, they would be shocked and hurt. Bloom would probably be the first to rush over where DK would get overwhelmed and push away due to feeling weak and vulnerable. But in the end they would be in a embrace of some sort or holding the other’s face to wipe away tears.
