Look what a cutie turned out!

So, August is coming to an end, which means that it's time to start the August challenge! And what can I say...

1. OH MY GOD, SO THAT'S THE NAME OF THIS DOG!! I've seen her photos on unsplash so many times and always thought (I confess) that she's just a very cute mutt. Now I know how to find more photos with this cutie!

2. I tried to draw in a new technique... wow. Drawing on one layer is so peaceful... I'm thrilled. And very tired. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it!!

3. I don't really like my nickname....... But I kind of like it. I don't know. Maybe I'll change that later.

I'm not sure why I suddenly agreed to do Doggust. Like I never even sat down as told myself "ok, we're doing Doggust this year, get ready". Its just Aug 1st came around I was like "oh I like shelties" and now I'm 4 days in and these are a lot more work than I thought. So I may not be able to finish an entire month I don't know.

I havent been able to finish any sort of traditional illustration or film for tiktok/youtube in a couple weeks now because I have a few projects going on at once and now I tacked on Doggust.

I am on call tonight 7p7a but I don't work the rest of the week so my plan this morning is to go to the gym, possible grocery store and then come home and watercolor and film for youtube. Thats the other thing too is I HAD time to paint but its been storming and I've had zero natural light. I'ma have to research how people brighten up their art space but my current space is my dining room table so..

but I have an illustration started. I also tentatively have another goofy illustration started but I think I lost my color scheme in my head and thats kinda a scary thing. And then I want to do tomorrows Doggust and then I have this diamond painting 3/4ths done that gets its own video.

and then I've been procrastinating on this online learning I'm supposed to be doing. This is the first time I've ever had to do CEUs for my nursing license and I know some girls pay for a catalogue to get their points but I'm like 9 ceus away so I feel like I should be able to get them out of the way decent fast.

Doggust starts today!! Was able to challenge myself to a 30 min doodle of day 1- Shetland Sheepdog. Added some Scottish Thistles since the sheltie originally came from Scotland 🧡 we’ll see how many I can do this month!

If you didn’t already know, #Doggust is a monthly challenge where the goal is to draw a dog everyday for the month of August! You can use the prompt list above or, alternatively, draw any dogs you like! Basically, just draw dogs for August! Any dogs, all the dogs or just one dog 31 times! Use any medium! Have fun!
