Ok I absolutely love their dynamic and I absolutely think they would make a freaking great duo. Also, since Baizhu’s master was Hu Tao’s great uncle I like to think of them as a very complicated and awkward found family lol
This was also inspired by a fanfiction, Moth and Fire on Ao3, which emotionally destroyed me but also shows their potential family dynamic and I absolutely love it.
Tried to make a baizhu playlist a while ago, but the information around him made it too hard to find perfect fitting tracks... still working on it...
Tried a pantalone playlist yesterday and while I had an equal amount of information it just worked, 6 tracks so far... now I get more information and throw myself into it...
Ahhh can't wait for Baizhu and Changsheng to be out so that he can get more recognition, honestly he should have been the first Dendro release but I assume they wanted to perfect the Dendro before releasing him since he was highly anticipated, Those who have Qiqi will be happy to roam around with the duo(trio including snake)
//It’s Genshin Impact theory time y’all! Today about the fact that Baizhu and Pantalone look some identical, featuring former dendo archon Baizhu and Dottore!
I’ve seen ‘Baizhu is a Pantalone clone’ and like, 10/10, I love it! But what if it’s the other way around?
So we know that the Harbingers accept not-totally human members (see failed Ei-puppet Scaramouche in exhibit A), and that Baizhu is trying to find the secret to eternal life. And he’s a doctor, he knows that if the problem is the flesh and not the mind that there are options. make a new body rather than fix the old one. So he seeks out Dottore who has already gained some notoriety as performing highly unethical experiments into cloning.
But the thing with Scaramouche is he was an imperfect puppet of a full archon, and the Dottore clones are of a full human. Pantalone... doesn’t work. He’s a good mimic... but he’s derived from an archon who’s no longer a proper archon. Imperfect mould and all that jazz, but still too much like one of the gods to be human. It’s why he never could get a vision, not because he didn’t earn one, or deserve one, or suffer enough, but just because... he’s not human enough, or divine enough to qualify.
If he found out his origins, it could also help explain his anger towards the archons. After all, if he was abandoned by Baizhu for not being what he wanted, and then being excluded from both the possible visions afforded to humans, and also the archon powers, I can see why he’d be upset!
