Fuck it you all are here and I’m anxious over somthing stupid //lh and unrelated to the following post/gen

Zal would wear a dress . V this mother fucker does not care enough about gender roles to not wear one. Their a bit more on the masc area of presentation I GUESS but that outfit is just convenient.

That being said I’m torn on the exact style when I desgined my other Dnd characters formal Look it was pretty simple to pick a Theme. occen.

But for zal they don’t really have am over arching ahstetic????

Generally for the style I’m not to strict. Particularly because most of what I know has been absorbed through friends info dumps and random internet video essays about corsets and mostly because this is a fantasy world why would I follow real world fashion rules fuck that.

Anyways when I’m doing character outfits especially dresses and formal where I pick a theme for them, hell that’s how I picked my prom outfit (the theme was stary night prince if your curious)

For Tsunami it was occen.

I’m thinking for Zal I’d probably go with storms? They’ve got Ray of frost and this connection with the wind goddess in our campaign (note the gods here are complicated and we don’t know a lot of things about them we’ve talked with 3/? Of them as of right now but their not the traditional DND gods but those gods might have been a thing here at one point)

Anyways but that association is not set in stone yet. Aside I guess from their arm which has a bit of a lighting thing if you squint and tilt your head . But also a storm based outfit would go SO HARD.

They are a storm I think, like symbolically. Somthing about that Fear and Greif the emotional turmoil their always just about to burst these clouds on the horizon signalling a dreaded storm. Every neg experience is repressed but lately it’s all been bursting out at once (THANKS EO) a storm in a bottle….

The necklace is essentially a magic flashlight. Eventually they might get a more cool magic necklace but currently that’s the best they got. It’s literally just a lightly enchanted witch’s stone. This is just all my assorted references taped together.

Thinking about assigned roles and characters who embrace them and characters who defy them

#this is about #dnd oc:zal #it’s whacky as the game goes on I get a better and better understanding of what their arc is really about

Some oc rambles about zal. Just their in my brain a lot so you all get to hear bout it

, Vinlo (their adopted dad) is the only person zal has left, he doesn’t want to think that Vinlo is the one who killed his brother and it does not help vinlo has been magically messing with his memories and another party member Eo has been also magicing some of them back (without zal even asking)Despite everything Vinlo did to zal their still trying to convince themself that he’s a good person that they can still save him. This frustrates the entire party as after meeting him once they all want to kill him. Deep down zal is absolutely terrified of him. And will probably do whatever he says. It doesn’t help that zal is not good at convincing people of things and is socially a mess, hopefully with time and the help of the party and character growth Zal will relize his dad sucks and accept that their probably going to have to stop him, but stopping him may require zal to keep from cronfronting him on this right away. What does that mean ah well unfortunately I can’t spill as the campaign is ongoing but maybe one day I’ll explain…

About Zauber,

Population 9000

Three distracts and a Magocracy/Oligarchy.

The districts are

ClayWalk 5.5% of the population lives here

SliverMile 35% of the population lives here

Lower Vol %59.5 of the population live here.

The city is housed on a massive sky island that floats with the power of the heart of Zauber an unknown magical artifact that supposedly sits in the center of the island. Because of the elevation it is very cold in Zauber.

I’ve got more lore then this but that’s the gist. I’ll answer any asks about it! As I’m still working on hammering out the finest details of life in the city and logistics of how living there works, so honestly questions about this could help haha

Also feel free to ask about the world it takes place in too but I might not have answers as the dm just let me make a city for fun and I don’t know everything about the world. I will say that it’s the same one I’ve been talking about with the serpent and the flooding

I’d say my dnd oc Zal has two hands In reference to the two ships involving them amongst my party (no one actually ships zal with anyone expect for me shipping them lightly with Deliah (an npc from his backstory and the other is kinda a joke) unfortunately they do not Infact have two hands
