Ever since they were kids, Sincere (Nas) and Buns (DMX) have lived life close to the edge, doing whatever it takes to survive. As adults, they build up their kingdom of crime on drug dealing and robbery. But Sincere grows weary of the criminal lifestyle and joins a black Muslim religious group. Buns, on the other hand, sinks deeper into criminality and faces serious prison time. The cops offer him a deal, however -- assassinate the head of the Muslim group, and he will go free.

The tiny Kirikou is born into an African village upon which a sorceress called Karaba has cast a terrible spell: the spring has dried up, the villagers are being blackmailed, the men of the village have either been kidnapped or have mysteriously disappeared. He wants to rid the village of the curse so he goes on a voyage to the Forbidden Mountain, where the Wise Man of the Mountain, who knows of Karaba and her secrets, awaits him.

In this animated depiction of a calamitous first date, Robin Harris (Faizon Love) hits it off with the gorgeous Jamika (Vanessa Bell Calloway), whom he meets at her boss' funeral. On the ride back, Harris is introduced to her well-behaved son (Wayne Collins), and asked if he wants to go with them to the amusement park the next day. Harris accepts and arrives to find three more children joining them. Jamika is watching her friend Bebe's kids -- which is the beginning of Harris' problems.

In the 13th century, Niankoro (Issiaka Kane) is born to the shaman Soma (Niamanto Sanogo), who fears his offspring's magical powers. Niankoro flees with his mother (Soumba Traore) and masters his skills while staying ahead of his father's attempts to track him down. Setting off on a journey to ask his uncle, Djigui Diarra (Ismaila Sarr), for advice, Niankoro uses his abilities to help tribal king Rouma Boll (Balla Moussa Keita) defeat a neighboring tribe, thereby earning the king's friendship.

Good morning! I hope you slept well and feel rested? Currently sitting at my desk, in my study, attired only in my blue towelling robe, enjoying my first cuppa of the day. Welcome to the working week although, for those of you in the NHS, welcome to just another day!

I can’t stop thinking about King Charles not paying any inheritance tax. When our parents pass away, we have to deal with the grief and the funeral, and then most people get absolutely clobbered by the tax man! It is the very definition of sticking the knife in and twisting it.
When talking about Coolio’s death last week, someone reminded me that since, 2020, the number of hip hop artists passing away has been staggering: DMX (50), Biz Markie (57), Black Rob (52), Shock G (Digital Underground) (57), Prince Markie D (The Fat Boys) (52), Gift Of Gab (Blackalicious) (50), Kangol Kid (UTFO) (55), Malik B (47) + Hub (The Roots) (62) and now Coolio (59).
Whenever I retweet anything that Diane Abbott posts on Twitter, the vicious racism that follows the comment makes my stomach turn and makes me very angry. And, having retweeted something that Vanessa Feltz tweeted, I was shocked to see how unpleasant some people can be. Having a dig at her for no reason at all! Our parents used to say, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all!” The internet has killed that piece of wisdom stone dead! The internet allows the bored and unhappy to scratch and snipe at whoever they like. They literally pop up when they’ve got something unpleasant to say!
The last time I DJ’d on Tottenham High Road, we had such a good time, Theresa Tee Mills has booked me to DJ at both her son and her daughter’s birthday parties (December 17th and January 21st, respectively.) I don’t even think she gave her kids the option, she just went ahead and booked me! Anyway, they’re not private affairs so, if you’re anywhere near The Bricklayers Arms on December 17th, please pop in! It’s Tottenham High Road, innit, so you can expect lots of boogie, two-step, rare groove, reggae and lover’s. If you raved on Tottenham High Road in the eighties, you know what to expect!
Healthwise, I would say I’m at 85%. They say that cellulitis lingers and I can testify to that. My mum said my dad had it and I’m just going to have to live with it! Can’t complain. There are people living with worse conditions than me! I saw a mate in Sainsbury’s on Sunday. I asked him how he was. He said one word, “Seasonal” and I knew exactly what he meant. When the temperature drops, we start to get things: sneezes, coughs, aches, pains, fatigue and, of course, seasonal affective disorder (SAD). Unless, of course, you have long covid, then you have all of that and bag of chips! What? Did you think covid had gone away? This is something that some people are living with!

DMX’s longtime label Def Jam recordings reportedly made a big contribution to the late Ruff Ryders legend’s funeral costs.

Remake the Star Wars sequels with everything the same except Ben Solo is just Adam Driver's character from This Is Where I Leave You. He enters the same way: driving through a cemetery for Han Solo's funeral with the top down, blasting DMX, hops out of the car whispering "shit! shit! shit! shit! shit!" and runs up to Leia going "Mommy!"
