I don't usually post my own content, but it's really important to me that I share this awesome resource ya'll. I know we don't like thinking about disasters and the end-of-the-world but STICK WITH ME here.

It's an app called HazAdapt and it's seriously the ultimate tool for staying safe during natural disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes, and wildfires, and for manmade disasters like assaults, hate crimes, and car accidents.

This app was honestly so helpful during the ice storm we had last week. We lost power and heat for 17 hours, but HazAdapt has offline capabilities so I still had access to all the info I needed to keep my family safe. (ok also I know 17 hours isn't that long but it is in the middle of the suburbs!)

PLUS it's intentionally designed as the first humanity-friendly technology, meaning it's created with equity, justice, and sustainability at the forefront. This is ethical tech y'all!

It's totally free, and you can customize it to include info on kids, disabilities, pets, farm animals, and more. AND it's translated into 7 language, literally so accessible.

Bottom line: HazAdapt is a total game changer when it comes to being prepared and responding to emergencies. And did I mention it's totally free to use? So you should definitely download it and share it with your fam and friends.

i was wondering what kind of circumstances could lead the other ghosts to pass on, and i thought about humphrey in particular.

i imagine humphrey mentioning that he doesnt know if he can move on, considering he's lived hundred of years without any kind of fulfilment (due to the whole 'he has no body and is usually ignored' thing). and the ghosts are feeling charitable, so they make it their mission to try and help him find it.

and they totally and utterly fail. they bicker constantly about the best way to help humphrey (thomas wants to ghostwrite a book about his tumultuous love life, kitty thinks they should do couples counselling for humphrey and his head, julian is entirely unhelpful) while the captain frantically tries to coordinate their response. but they're completely unproductive and humphrey's an awkward spectator the whole time. but they eventually come up with a masterplan (read: disasterplan) to try and Help Humphrey With His Soul Searching.

and that masterplan fails too, because everything goes wrong and silly as per usual, no matter how hard the ghosts try. but to their shock, despite the nonsense, humphrey sees the light- and he gets sucked off.

and the ghosts are shocked. they run to alison, asking for any kind of idea why it happened. and she suggests something simple: that even though they failed, they cared enough to try. and maybe that was enough.

because really, that's all humphrey ever wanted. after a lonely life and a lonely death, he needed someone to care about him. and they finally did.

With the announcement that Jodie Whittaker will be leaving the role soon, I wish her all the best of luck in her future acting endeavors.

In addition, I do hope she makes her way to Big Finish eventually. After the debacle of Series 12 and the Chibnall Disasterplan, especially the Timeless Child horseshit, she deserves better material to right the wrongs done to her and to the series itself.

As lovely as she is as a person and as talented as she is as an actress, it would seem that she has superseded Colin Baker's 6th Doctor as the worst incarnation of the Doctor ever.

Honestly, it isn't fair that this has to happen to her. If there was better writing and if she was given better characterization, she would be more fondly regarded. As it stands, it just seems, at the moment, that the experiment to make the Doctor a woman has failed miserably. None of this is Whittaker's fault of course, but people are gonna lay the blame at her feet just like they laid the blame on the show going on hiatus back in the mid 80s on Colin Baker, and even the outright cancellation of the show in the late 80s on Sylvester McCoy.

Still, even as she abdicates the role... there is always hope, and always possibilities...
