PSU companies are divided into three categories:

Maharatna

Navratna

Miniratna CPSEs

Maharatna Status: In 2009, the government established the Maharatna status, which raises a company’s investment ceiling from Rs. 1,000 Crore to Rs. 5,000 Crore. The Maharatna firms can now decide on investments of up to 15 per cent of their net worth in a project; the Navaratna companies could invest up to Rs. 1,000 Crore without explicit government approval. Criteria to be a Maharatna: The six criteria for eligibility as Maharatna are:

1. Having Navratna status. 2. Listed on Indian stock exchange with minimum prescribed public shareholding under SEBI regulations. 3. An average annual turnover of more than Rs. 20,000 Crore during the last 3 years. Earlier it was Rs. 25,000 Crore. 4. An average annual net worth of more than Rs. 10,000 Crore during the last 3 years. Earlier it was Rs. 15,000 Crore. 5. An average annual net profit after tax of more than Rs. 2500 Crore during the last 3 years. Earlier it was Rs. 500 Crore. 6. Should have significant global presence/international operations.

List of Maharatna:

1. Coal India Limited 2. Indian Oil Corporation Limited 3. NTPC Limited 4. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited 5. Steel Authority of India Limited

Navratna Status: Navratna was the title given originally to nine Public Sector Enterprises, identified by the Government of India in 1997 as having comparative advantages, which allowed them greater autonomy to compete in the global market. The number of PSEs having Navratna status has been raised to 16. The government is likely to accord the coveted status to Engineers India Limited, which is under consideration. List of Navratna:

1. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited 2. Bharat Electronics Limited 3. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited 4. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited 5. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited 6. Miniratna Status: In addition, the government created another category called Miniratna. Miniratnas can also enter into joint ventures, set subsidiary companies and overseas offices but with certain conditions. In 2002, there were 61 government enterprises that awarded Miniratna status. However, at present, there are 68 government enterprises that were awarded Miniratna status.

How To Prepare For PSUs 2020

PSU’s Entrance Exam Question Paper mainly consist of two major sections:

Technical Section: Subject specialization of related stream.

Non-Technical Section: General Awareness, Current Affairs, English Language, Reasoning & Aptitude. Hence to crack PSU competitive exam, candidate should prepare for both technical and non-technical sections, where 50% to 70% questions are from technical and remaining questions from non-technical sections. • Be aware of exam pattern of different PSU’s like number of technical questions, number of non-technical questions, negative marking, exam duration, marks per question etc.

There's been a lot of talk lately about crashed ships, government conspiracies, and advanced alien technology. Naturally, because of our involvement in related issues during the 1980's, many have been speculating about possible DFG involvement in recent events. Please allow me to clarify a few things:

1) Hikaru Daitokuji was ousted as CEO in 1991 by our Board of Directors.

2) Following Mr. Daitokuji's ouster, DFG reorganized, eliminating our Military Technology Development Program to focus on providing financial services.

3) Our Extraterrestrial Technology Recovery Program (ETRP) began in May of 1987, and officially ended in July of 1992. Contrary to popular belief, DFG did not recover any non-human technology during that time.

4) The ETRP was a pet project of Hikaru Daitokuji, and our shareholders did not become aware of the ETRP until after the Queen Margarita Incident of 1987. At that time, there was an attempt to remove Daitokuji as CEO, but many on the Board of Directors remained loyal to him, and the attempt at removal failed. Many on the BOD stated publicly that removing Daitokuji would be harmful to the company, as contractual obligations would have required an over 700 million yen payout.

5) Contrary to what some conspiracy theorists would have you believe, neither the ETRP nor our larger Military Technology Development Program was continued under any other name.

6) DFG does not have any involvement with the United States Military. Any contracts with the Japanese Self Defence Force are related to financial services only.

7) DFG does occasionally work with former US intelligence officials on cyber security issues. This does not make us a CIA front, as many have suggested.

8) The only connection between DFG and US senator Danny Inoshita is a bank account established at Kusoyama Bank, one of our subsidiaries operating in the United States, in 2002.

9) Likwise, the only connections between DFG and Digelow Aerospace Technology and Advanced Space Studies (DATASS) are a bank account established at Kusoyama Bank in 2008, and the fact that DATASS's founder, Robert Digelow, is alleged to have had an affair with Hikaru Daitokuji's daughter Biko during the late 1980's.
