Tamagotchi Featured at 2022 Anime NYC at Javits Center

Tamagotchi is back at the Javits Center, how fabulous is that? First New York Comic-Con and now Anime NYC! Bandai Namco US brought Tamagotchi to Anime NYC, an annual three-day anime convention where brands bring some of their products to show off to event goers. Bandai Namco US had an impressive booth that they showcased on their Instagram profile, but there no was no mention of Tamagotchi. Which seems a little odd since there are so many collaborations with popular anime!

Coma235 on Instagram was attending Anime NYC had spotted a Tamagotchi display at the Bandai Namco booth! The picture displays the Tamagotchi Original in six shells, and two Demon Slayer shells. We’re sure there is much more to the display. If you look close enough there appears to be a Legacy Gold Karmen Rider Tamagotchi next to the Demon Slayer Tamagotchi.

No word on the other models that were featured, but we’re sure the display included several collaborations from this year, and the ones being released next year!

Demon Slayer Tamagotchi Spotted at Target

A Tamagotchi fan was just checking out the shelves of a local Target in the Untied States and came across a Demon Slayer Tamagotchi! Rather odd because there has been no indication that Target is carrying the Demon Slayer Tamagotchi, nor any other brick and mortar retailer according to Bandai’s website. The device have been exclusive to Amazon, so this is super exciting!

Rinsuel_ on Twitter informed us that their local Target was only carrying the Kyojurotchi Demon Slayer Tamagotchi shell, and no others. Twitter user OhHaiiAlice was able to score a Mitsuritchi Demon Slayer Tamagotchi at their Target.

We are certainly happy to hear this as greater availability always benefits the community. Sometimes when you’re browsing shelves, you just find the best things! Have you seen the Demon Slayer Tamagotchi on your local Target shelves?

Thats a total of nine different shells, this is a huge prize!

Bandai Japan Announces Demon Slayer Yukaku Edition

Looks like the Demon Slayer Tamagotchi has been super successful as Bandai Japan has just announced the third version that is set to be released this summer! Three new shells have been announced, and they’re based on the television anime series Kimetsu no Yaiba Yukaku. One shell is modeled after the character Hinokami Kagura, an explosive red blood shell, and a water breathing shell.

These new shells feature three new secret characters, and new training to match the content from the television anime series Kimetsu no Yaiba Yukaku. Preorders are already available on Amazon Japan for ¥2,530 and the release date is set for June 18th, 2022 in Japan. We wouldn't be shocked to see these arrive in North America a few months after the Japanese release.

Looking to order a Demon Slayer Tamagotchi from Premium Bandai Japan? Well they’re actually using that lottery method that we recently saw with the 25th anniversary Tamagotchi Smart Anniversary Set back in the summer. You can apply to preorder the Demon Slayer Tamagotchi by December 24th, 2021 and you’ll be notified if you’ve been selected in the lottery. Once selected, you can place your order directly on Premium Bandai Japan.

The lottery method is quite common for Premium Bandai Japan as they are known to have limited quantities of products to sell to enthusiastic fans, and the Demon Slayer Tamagotchi’s have been quite hard to find in stores.

Consider us flattered! Look’s like Bandai America really liked our idea of our annual “Gotchi Gift Guide” which recommends Tamagotchi products for the holiday season. Can’t say we didn’t see this one coming. Bandai America has officially announced the nine new Demon Slayer ‘Kimetsu’ Tamagotchi shells! These are the nine shells that were announced by Bandai Japan in October, teased by Bandai America in December, and just listed on Amazon and Bandai America’s website a few days ago! Bandai America also notes that this new wave includes three new training options!

Bandai America Adds Additional Shells to Demon Slayer Tamagotchi Lineup

It wasn’t too long ago when Bandai America teased that more Demon Slayer Tamagotchi shells were on the way, and they’re already here! Bandai America has updated their official website to include the nine new Demon Slayer Tamagotchi shells that were just officially announced in Japan a few months back. No official announcement from Bandai America yet, but we would expect a social media post soon!

The nine shells include Tengentchi, Sanemitchi, Obanaitchi, Gyomeitchi, Mitsuritchi, Muichirotchi, Kyojurotchi, Giyutchi, and Shinobutchi.
