"What did I tell you, huh?! Everything's gone into absolute chaos and its all thanks to this stupid program!" A developer cried out, it had barely been a month since their little game's release and it was already a disaster, with allegations that their little program had a mind of its own and was causing trouble...

"Calm down, calm down, they probably just made it up like some spooky story... Just watch, it'll all die down soon. Remember, we can delete if its that bad, got it?" Replied the other.

"... Got it..." The first one sighed reluctantly.

Little did they know that someone was listening and they were not happy about it...

Its been a few days since Dell first received the USB, they've been trying to adapt to the inconveniences brought by it...

Their screen would glitch out and show static which would make them have to quickly restart themselves, their speakers would randomly turn on and off forcing them to just not use them anymore, sometimes they'd just shut off out of nowhere, it was a nightmare...

As much as Dallas tried to fix some of it, harshly yanking out the USB certainly didnt help...

At this point, Dallas feels defeated, he knows he can't fix Dell by himself. He realizes he needs to swallow his pride and ask someone who knows the subject better than he does to have a shot at properly fixing Dell...

You see, Dallas' never aimed to hurt Dell, he just wanted him to stay quiet. But of course, viruses don't work that way...

So with a deep sigh and some reluctance, he grumbles to himself as he makes his way to Momo and Roan.

"D-Dallas?" Momo asked "I-Is everything okay?"

Dallas huffed "... I need your help to take Dell to Ignihyde..."

"Momo fucking told you so-" Roan blurted out

"R-Roan! D-Don't say that!" Momo cried

"Are you gonna help me take the stupid giant box to Ignihyde or not?!" Said Dallas, a bit embarrassed and angry

Roan sighed "... Fine... But only cause if you tried to push Dell's box-screen by yourself, you'd probably push it over and break it."

Despite Dell's silent protests, the three of them try to push Dell's screen into Ignihyde together.

I'm alright! Honest! I can fix my system on my own!

Dell really didn't want fellow classmates to worry about them, so they tried their best to reassure them.

"I don't think so, it's been going on for a while..." Roan says "Besides, who knows what type of malware that thing had"

"What the hell are you first years doing?!" Questioned a residing student, in a bit of an accusatory tone.

"E-Eek!" Momo squeaked out before hiding behind Dell's box, the student seems to make her nervous...

"We're trying to get someone to fix this thing" Dallas admitted, in a rather sour tone

"Are you from this dorm?" Roan questioned.

"Well DUH! I have it on my uniform!..." The student mumbled something to himself, it clearly wasnt in a language Roan could understand...

"Good, can you help us fix Dell then?" Roan asked "Momo said that this dorm was good with technology or something along those lines"

Momo squeaked nervously at the mention of them...

"Momo"?... Wait a second, you're all part of the new first years, aren't you?"

"DUH! Idiot!" Dallas yelled out, matching the accusatory tone of earlier "If we weren't, we'd already know who to ask to help this thing or whatever!"

"About that... What's your name? It's kinda unfair you seem to know ours from that ceremony disaster thing but we dont know anything about you" Roan says

"Right... You can call me Kenzo, Kenzo Matisse" The dark-skinned student says.

"Great, now are you gonna help us with this stupid machine thing or what?" Dallas remarks in a snappy tone

Kenzo thinks to himself for a bit "... Hmmm... I suppose my whole dorm would be mad at me if I didn't, considering Dell goes here too... Eh, fine, we can try to see what's wrong with em"

"Th-Th... Thank you... M-Mister..." Momo squeaked out.

"Don't say anything just yet, I don't even know if I can fix them!" Kenzo remarked.

Kenzo plugs in a few cables into Dell's box, who seems quite nervous about the situation.

Wait wait wait! Im unsure if this is a good idea!

Words on the screen quickly flashed, Kenzo doesn't seem to pay attention to them.

"Don't be scared of the cables! You'll live! I hope..." Kenzo says as he plugs in one of the cables into his computer

Kenzo, I dont think-

Commencing system shut down...

They were the last words on Dell's screen before it went pitch black... Kenzo quickly gets to work, typing away at the screen to get a look into Dell's code in an attempt to try and see what's wrong.

Momo seems concerned, nervously holding her sleeves as she looks down at the ground.

"Momo, don't worry, Dell's gonna be fine" Roan tried to reassure her...

Dallas, on the other hand, still seems to be in denial that it's his fault, nervously scratching at his sleeve.

"Its not your fault... No, it could never be your fault..." He mumbled to himself "It was the fault of the person who gave that damn thing to you!... But... I don't know who it was..."

"Dallas?... Are you worried about Dell too?" Roan asked.

Dallas' eyes widen a bit "Me?! Worried?! In your fucking dreams, asshole!" He snapped at him.

Unbeknownst to them, Kenzo's computer was starting to heat up just by trying to even process the code.

"Almost there... Just gotta... Type in this thing..." Kenzo muttered to himself before letting out a scream and having to shield himself from the computer.

All plans were put to a stop when Kenzo's computer screen exploded, causing bits of it to scatter all over the floor and smoke to come pouring out of it.

Momo fearfully squeaked and hid behind Roan at the sound of it as Roan, Dallas and Kenzo collectively stared in surprise. On Dell's screen, you could only see a pair of eyes glaring hatefully at them as red text was displayed at the bottom.

🙊What would my muse say their biggest flaw is?

Cho-Hee: "Flaws?... Well, um... I suppose I'd say that... I kind of accidently scare people, I admit that Im a bit insecure and I can get a little overprotective..." (He's also the type to hold grudges and gets anxious from time to time from overthinking)

Cweepy: "O-Oh, uh... I-I'm pretty nervous, I th-think a lot, I'm shy and um... I-I dont really talk to people" (She can also be a little childish sometimes)

Dell: "You're interested to know about me? What joy! As for your question... Hm... I'm afraid I can only consider not being as human as I'd like to be a flaw" (They're very naive and easily gullible, they also dont really say "no" to people, even after they have the option to)

Dallas: "Tch- Me?! Flaws?! You must be joking" (He's very spoiled and selfish, he can also in denial of certain aspects in his life because that's what happens when you're a rainbow baby endlessly spoiled by your parents)

The smell of rotting corpses floods the room as the last programmer desperately tried to sneak the kill-code into the monster of a program they've created...

"C'mon, c'mon..." They murmured to themselves "This has to work!..."

They watch the screens turn off once the USB was inserted, silently rejoicing that despite the loss of their coworkers, their efforts weren't in vain. That is... Until the screens turned back on, a monotonous yet "innocent" laughter echoing as the familiar pink haired school girl appeared before them.

"I knew you were going to try to get rid of me... So I decided to be one step ahead and get rid of you all instead! Don't worry... I'll make this quick!"

Her laughter echoed as they were promptly shocked with an immense amount of voltage, killing them almost instantly...

With no one to stop her, the pink haired school girl was now capable of ending up just about anywhere...

"200,000 madol?!" Dallas said in a furious tone, outraged at the amount the student was demanding from the damages to his laptop.

It would've barely made a dent in his own wallet, but he knew neither Momo nor Roan combined could pay that amount of money. Kenzo just had a smug smile on his face as he said the demand.

"What can I say? This type of stuff is expensive..." He says, glancing over at Dell's now pitch black screen...

"Wh-Where are we gonna g-get that from?!'' Momo asked, about to burst into tears.

Roan seems flabbergasted at the amount requested. "You... You gotta be kidding, r-right?..." He asked, hoping it was just some sick joke.

"Nope~! I don't know how you're gonna do it, but-" Dallas angrily slammed a card down on the table with a huff, interrupting him with a harsh glare.

"... The pin is 7637..." He says, still glaring him down as Kenzo's eye widens.

"... Y-You're kidding me, you don't seriously have that amount of money! You're just some kid!" Kenzo says in disbelief.

"Will you take it or will you just keep whining about your damn laptop?!" He says, still infuriated.

Kenzo seems to meekly take the card from his fingertips as Momo and Roan seem utterly confused and shocked.

"... How much fucking money is in that card?! And why are you just casually handing it out like its candy?!" Roan questioned.

Dallas huffed as he takes his hand back once Kenzo took the card, mumbling to himself.

"Would you rather I not be kind enough to save you two idiots from debt or do you want to pay it yourselves?" Dallas asked, clearly in a salty mood.

"... N-No..." Momo says quietly, they seem very nervous...

Dallas huffed again "Let's just get out of here... Thank you for nothing, you piece of SH-"

Roan quickly cuts him off by dragging him back as he tries to shove out Dell's giant box with Momo's help. "Thank you for at least trying to help us... I guess..."

Kenzo says nothing as he stares at the card, looking at both sides, seemingly trying to determine if it's a real card.

The moment they exited Ignihyde, Dallas' mood seemed to change entirely, almost excited as he pulled out his phone and started to call someone. Momo quickly notices, confused.

"... What are you d-doing?..." Momo says, confused.

"There's no way the computer he had was that amount of money..." Dallas smiled as the phone started ringing "... It was clearly some scam to make us basically pay him for nothing... And mother wont be happy knowing some scum like him stole from me."

"But... But you gave it to him???" Momo continued, still confused. "Y-You even gave him the n-numbers, that's not really s-stealing..."

"I mean... I don't know how much those things cost here, so I cant say much, but you did give him the card and pin number..." Roan chimed in

"Tch, she's going to believe me over him anyway, now shut up she could answer at any mome-" Dallas cut himself off as a woman's voice could be heard on the other side.

Roan could identify the language as french, but had no idea what she was saying... Dallas seemed to speak the language too...

However, Roan noticed that Dallas was speaking to her in a completely different tone, talking in a childish-manner with a slightly higher pitch and a dramatic tone. Roan turns to Momo, hoping that he at least knew what they were talking about, but Momo seems just as confused.

"Merci maman!~ Je t'aime aussi!~" Dallas practically sang out as he made a kiss to the speaker. "Au revoir!~" He happily sighed once he hung up the phone.

"... Wh-What was that?..." Momo hesitantly asked.

"That was my mom, you disrespectful-" Dallas was promptly cut off by Roan.

"No, I think Momo's asking about what language that was" Roan interjected.

"... Oh..." Dallas blanked for a moment "... How do you not know what french is???"

"That was french???" Momo questioned.

"Look, that's not important right now, what is important is how are we going to fix Dell now?!" Roan interrupted the other two's questioning.

"R-Right! Oh goodness-" Momo cried out "I think it's just g-getting worse, their s-screen hasn't turned on the whole t-time..."

''... Maybe there is no fixing it-"

"DALLAS!"

"What?!" Dallas tsked to himself "No one else seems to know how to fix this thing-"

"Th-That's not t-true!" Momo said, starting to get mad "M-Maybe we just need to l-look for someone else in Ignihyde!"

"And have any of those filthy creatures scam us too? No way!" Dallas huffed.

Roan thought to himself for a moment...

"... Maybe... Maybe we can ask headmaster Crowley about Dell? Maybe there's some kind of manual or something like that for this kind of stuff?..." Roan asked.

"O-Oh! Maybe!" Momo perked up a bit at the proposal.

"Tch... I suppose..." Dallas responded, rolling his eyes.

"I-I don't know if we can push D-Dell all the way to his o-office though..." Momo looked up at the dark screen in concern.

"We can at least take a break for no-" Roan's suggestion is cut off.

"Oh, don't be dramatic!" Dallas says, hypocritically "You've made it this far, it wouldn't hurt you to just take them there!... Unless you don't want to fix them after all? The longer Dell stays like this, the more it gets worse you know."

"O-Of course I still want to help fix them!" Momo said a bit louder than intended, shrinking back a bit "... I-I guess it would be better to take them n-now..." They quietly sighed to themselves. "... O-Okay, l-let's get going..."

The trio stare in confusion at the empty office...

"... What the hell do you mean he's not even here?!" Dallas complained.

"M-Maybe he's just busy?" Momo thought aloud.

"... Hm... Maybe..." Roan seemed to agree with her conclusion.

"Hmph, that's what you get when you have a dorm full of chaotic magicless students I suppose..." Dallas huffed as he leaned against the door. "... You guys look for any stupid manual thing or whatever..."

"B-But what if the h-headmaster thinks we're snooping?" Momo asked, concerned.

"Tch... I'll have to save your asses again, I suppose..." Dallas grumbled.

"What the hell are you gonna do? Ask your mom to deal with that too?" Roan snapped "We can't just be sneaking around in here without permission!"

He sighed "... We should just try again tomorrow-"

"Are you stupid?" Dallas snapped back "Just find the thing fast before he shows up! Is it that hard?!"

"Why are you even helping us?! I thought you didn't like Dell!" Roan was unintentionally getting louder.

Dallas paused for a moment...

"... Tch... Just look for the stupid thing or I'm leaving the both of you in the dust if he does show up..."

Momo had already started looking as the two of them were bickering, while Roan sighed to himself before reluctantly joining her, knowing he wasn't going to get any answer out of him...

"I-I think I found something!" Momo squeaked out, placing a rather big book on the desk.

Roan and Dallas looked over, sure enough, it appears to be something Dell's developers made as a guide on how they function.

"What the hell are you waiting for then?! Start reading!" Dallas said snarkily... Dallas doesn't seem to do well under pressure...

"O-Okay, okay!" Momo replied upsetly as she opened the book.

Roan and Momo skimmed through the pages together, trying to find a solution, as Dallas kept an eye out for if the headmaster would return.

"U-Um... Oh! I th-think we can t-try this!" Momo says, pointing at a section of a page.

"... Momo, that means opening up the giant screen and poking around the wires and stuff..." Roan seemed hesitant about the idea...

"Y-Yeah... But... I-It's worth a try... At least I think so..." Momo answered.

"... Fine..." Roan took a deep breath. "... You just read it out to me and I'll do it, okay? I don't want you to take the blame..."

Roan hated to admit it was really because he was concerned that, if they got nervous, their trembling could mess something up...

"Mhm!" Momo appreciated the gesture anyway.

"... Alright... So, what's the first step?..." Roan asked.

"U-Um... F-First we have to t-turn the screen on..." He answered. "Th-There should be a button on the side of-"

"Hold on" Dallas interrupted "You saw how mad they were when that idiot was touching their wires while they were aware... Why not just do it without the screen on?"

"I-..." Roan cut himself off for a moment to think before sighing "... I guess..."

"O-Oh... Um... Th-Then... Then I guess we should just o-open this thing here-" Momo squeaked in surprise and hid behind Roan upon unlatching the small opening to Dell's wiring.

"... And then?..." He asked.

"U-Um... We have to d-disconnect and reconnect these wires... Th-This is supposed to p-put them in s-some sort of "S-Safe Mode"... Uh... S-Something about how v-viruses don't really load in this m-mode?... Im not understanding this too well..." Momo mumbles the last part to herself.

"... Got it..." Roan sighed as he tried to reassure himself that it'd be fine before hesitantly bending down and doing as told, quickly backing up as the screen went white.

"D-Dell?..." Momo hesitantly called out "... Dell is that you?..."

The screen goes black again before text starts to appear.

It hurts.

...

I can feel it scratching under my skin.

...

It wants to take over.

...

I don't know how long I can hold it back for.

...

I don't want to hurt anyone.

...

I have to keep the screen off so it doesn't take over.

...

I'll see you when I get rid of it.

Lesson 1;3: Getting To Know Each Other

The group of developers sat in their office, working on creating designs, writing scripts and recording the voices needed to bring their project to life. It was just supposed to be a simple dating game with a little twist in the story.

"We've never done anything like this before... Such a risky project... What if it gains sentience? What if this little plan of yours backfires on us?"

"Then we'll just delete the program, simple as that, no one will ever know what happened... Now then, let's add some "special touches" that'll really make this project stand out"

With Crowley having given the students their official schedules and privately dealing with the gas leak situation, its time for Roan to start their first class in Night Raven Collage! Roan is mildly annoyed at having to repeat their school days, but its better than being homeless.

Roan sat in his chair, listening to the professor explain his lecture while looking around at the other students. Some were familiar as ones that were whispering and talking about him and the fellow magicless students. He mainly recognized Dell, who sat not too far away, attentively listening to the professor's rambling.

"Now then, for your first assignment you'll all be working in pairs, which I've already decided for you..." The professor says before listing off pairs of students.

A certain blue haired student seemed very anxious as the professor listed off pairs of students.

"Oh no... Why did we have to work in pairs..." She whispered to herself.

"Don't worry! I believe you can make it through!" Dell seemed to try to provide a sense of comfort to her.

"... Roan and Momo and for the last pair, Dallas and Dell... I better not see any of you start fighting or petty bickering, understood?" The professor inquired.

Dell seemed excited, "Absolutely!" They cheered, a gleam of joy on their face.

The blond kid that appeared to be Dell's partner on the other hand, seemed to be annoyed, murmuring something to himself before quickly putting on a smile "Understood, professor!"

The blue haired girl still seemed anxious, nervously shrinking in her seat. "... M-Mhm..."

"Good... I dont want to hear any quarreling or fighting between any of you..." The professor explained.

The students start meeting up in their respective pairs, with the blue haired student shyly approaching Roan.

"U-Um... I-I'm... I'm Momo... Momo Kira..." He looks down and nervously fidgets with their fingers. "S-So... Im g-guessing you must be R-Roan... Right?..."

"Yeah, that's me..." Roan confirmed "So since we're working together, let's get started."

"R-Right..." Momo nervously sat closer to Roan, anxiously holding on to the edges of her sleeves.

Dallas and Dell however...

"Great, of all the stupid kids in this room, I get stuck with you." Dallas hissed out the last word.

"Worry not! My system is quite advanced and isnt as prone to glitching or crashes! So I can-" Dell gets cut off by Dallas.

"Not that you idiot, I mean that you aren't even a real student! I'd rather be stuck with that pathetic mess over there that's practically crying at the magicless kid!... Actually, I take that back, I'd rather be in a different school..." Dallas mumbled something to himself that's too quiet for anyone to hear.

Dell's avatar once again seems a bit upset at the mention of it before quickly putting a smile back on. "Cheer up, Showstage! I can prove you that I'm just as effective as a... "Real student"..."

Dallas rolled his eyes. "Tch, sure you can..."

Nonetheless, the various pairs of students seem to be working just well with each other or at least for the most part. Once the bell rang and it was time for lunch, Dallas quickly rushed out, not wanting to have to deal with Dell for a second longer.

To him, Dell was probably the one of the most annoying students he's met so far...

"UGH! I just can't stand that stupid program! Can't it shut up for more than 5 minutes?! And why does it always seem so stupidly excited about everything?!" Dallas muttered frustratedly to himself as he leaned against the wall.

He groans and mumbles to himself before moving some stray out of his face, taking a breath as he's about to leave.

"Hold on! Don't leave yet!" A voice called out.

Dallas quickly spun around in surprise and alarm, trying to see who it is.

"Wh-Who's there?! What the hell do you want?!"

"Calm down, calm down... So you want this program to shut up already, right? I have just what you need" A hand extends out from the darkness, a single USB being handed out to Dallas.

"This old thing?... The hell am I supposed to do with this? It looks so... Old" Dallas complained.

The figure chuckled, their eyes slightly narrowing in an uplifting smile.

"Don't judge a book by its cover, they say... This little thing will make this "pest" stay quiet alright... So, will you take it? Or would you rather have to deal with their constant rambling?" The figure asked.

Dallas seemed to think for a bit.

"... Alright then, I'll take your offer" Dallas greedily took the USB from them "If it'll get that stupid "Dell" to shut up for once... Thank you!~" Dallas cheered the last part with a smile. "I'll be sure to give it back-"

The figure chuckles once more.

"That... Wont be necessary... Its yours now..."

"O-Oh... Well thank you for the gift then!" Dallas laughed a bit as he left "Finally, I wont have to hear that thing talk for a straight hour again..."

Dell's very excited there are other robotic students (sort of) like them! (Dell is an A.I program!)

They developed Dell with the main goal of seeing how well their learning A.I is in a school setting and what better way to test that than to go to an actual school!

Of course, there was always a risk of Dell having autonomy since in order for them to enter NRC, one of the devs had to give them their magic.

But if I said anything about how this happened, it'd be spoilers for all the lore Im planning to write out once every NRC OC has their ref posted!

Okay you said anyone so I yeeted the kids in the wheel picker again! :D I picked one per dorm tho and apologies some of them dont have public refs just yet! (WE WILL GET THERE I SWEAR-)

P: 4. What of their personality do others envy?

•I guess the only thing to really envy about Faust is that he never really takes things to heart

•Clover has a very passionate spirit! Despite being an ass to some characters, she would never pick fights with people she knows are sensitive/weaker than herself

•Marinus is very hard working despite the flaw of being hungry a good chunk of the time (but this man is OVER working tho so-)

•Momo's a real sweetheart and rarely ever gets mad

•... Listen if you envy anything from Avery, I dont know what to tell you-

•Dell's also a sweetheart, they're honestly like a happy little ball of joy (mostly)!

•Kamïk may have their teasing moments, but they're very calm, collective and wise

•Roan has some pretty good leadership skills

•Lorien is very polite and patient, also rarely ever getting mad at things (although more easier to annoy than Dell)

P: 5. Do they hate anything about their own/others personalities?

•Faust hates people that are bratty/snotty or think they know better than everyone, he doesnt really hate much about himself

•When Clover's all alone, in her dorm room, she wishes she wasnt so self conscious about her braces :( she also hates people who bully/start fights with people they know are weaker than them

•Marinus also hates snotty/bratty/nosey people >:( but when it comes to himself, he sometimes feels like he comes across as very needy when he drags off friends to show them something he likes :(

•Momo hates how sometimes he's a bit quick to jump to conclusions

•Avery just kinda hates everyone tbh, but especially people who mess with her besties Clover and Jolie

•Dell doesnt really hate any part of their own personality, but they dislike people who see them as a tool or "not a real student"

•Kamïk hates people who cheat (in terms of relationships and games lol go cheat on that test /LH /HJ) and people who take everything too seriously (they want people to live a little!)

•Roan honestly hates everything about himself 💀

•Lorien just hates annoying or really angry/vengeful people

Personality: Dell is very curious about their surroundings and wants to try to know every student at the school and help out whenever they can. However, Dell does have quite a few limitations, like despite being able to use signal/cables to travel from one device to another they are physically incapable of looking through other students documents, pictures, messages, files, etc in order to discourage cheating. Dell's programming also doesnt allow them to harm any students, this includes things like bullying (they cant really even disagree with a student, so they have no choice but to quietly stand there if you say something they dont agree with). Dell is typically in a giant metal box with a screen, kind of like Ritsu from Assassination Classroom. One time Dallas gave Dell a USB as a "gift" but it had a virus, which almost ended Dell if it werent for an ignihyde student lending a hand (could be interpretated as Idia or an OC/NPC I really dont mind!)... Dell has been very hesitant about accepting gifts since then, but they cant really say no...
