“by you?” osamu asks, setting aside the rag he’d been using to wipe the countertop to stare his best friend down.

the restaurant is closed, the staff is gone, the music that usually plays overhead has been turned off.

suna leans back in his seat under osamu’s gaze, seemingly not ill-at-ease in the slightest in spite of the tightening in the baseball-capped man’s jaw. he quirks a brow.

“would you prefer atsumu?” 

“i’d prefer neither of you scrubs ever put a hand anywhere near her,” osamu counters the preposterous suggestion. but then he pauses, and against his better judgement he considers it. 

he doesn’t mean to, really, it’s entirely an instinctive reaction. he pictures his twin sleeping beside you at night in your bed at home—under the blankets that osamu helped pick out, that osamu helps you put out on the clothesline on sunny days, that osamu clenches into tight fists as he fucks you down into the mattress—and it makes his stomach turn. 

his mind flickers next to suna. his best friend for more years than anyone has any business associating with someone so troublesome. he pictures you and suna in your bed, suna nestled in between your thighs on those same blankets in just the way you like, your knees looped over his broad, toned shoulders as he devours your sweet, sticky—

“you were totally just picturing it, weren’t you?”

god, osamu wants to throttle him.

the hum of the refrigeration system, the faint sizzling of carbonation in suna's drink, and osamu's suddenly spiking pulse are the only sounds to be heard.

“i mean,” osamu sighs, his voice a little quiet, a little breathless, “better you than him i guess.”

suna blinks, a little shocked osamu gave him a straight answer.

“really?” he asks, his excitement not veiled in the slightest.

“if you keep askin’ about this i’ll put a clause in my will that bans you from ever comin’ within 10 metres of her.”

“alright, alright,” suna says, lifting his hands in concession, letting the matter rest.

there’s another one of those moments of quiet that osamu doesn’t quite like, because it gives him time to think. gives him free reign to picture you bouncing up and down on his best friend’s lap while you’re swallowing his own length down your throat.

that wasn’t even the question. he’s supposed to be dead in this hypothetical scenario—and he kind of wishes he were when he thinks about your sweet, tearstained face, begging him to let you cum on his best friend’s cock. when he picture’s rintarou’s fucked out expression when he desperately echoes your plea.

What first drew you to this character?

Daniel: I just really like what a great stand-in for the reader he can be because yeah, I'm sure EVERYONE who read these books at some point had the same thought- that they would want to be turned and they'd see immortality as a gift. I like his shameless love of these monsters, the line about liking kissing and snuggling with dead things? Made me absolutely insane. I like that he's not afraid to mouth off to something so dangerous while he's still mortal. I like his drinking issues, his weird craft fixations. Basically everything we got in the text was incredible imo, he's a fave!!

Armand: Honestly Armand didn't really click with me until QotD. In my mind he was a Louis-simp in interview, and then an angry bitchy little Jesus freak in tvl, but then he shows up in QotD and he's putting cigarettes down the garbage disposal and throwing money at Daniel to make him teach him about international calls and I was like- damn, this one is a FREAK deep down. So seeing him be erratic and out of place and curious about the world made me view him in a new light, and the moments of gentleness he shows later in the book really pulled the pieces together for me.

If you could write effortlessly and as much as you wanted, what story (s) would you write for this character?

Fuck, I really want some newly turned Daniel at Night Island for both of them. Like what went wrong? What kind of maker was Armand with all these ghosts from his past around? How long did it take for things to fall apart and what were the ups and downs of that period like? I really, really wanna work through that but I don't have even the slightest inkling of where I want to begin yet.

So generally I start with fic rated Explicit or Mature, not just for pervert reasons lmao But I feel like if a writer can write some smut that really gets the characters and explores something interesting about them then most likely their fics with lower ratings are gonna be interesting and not pure woobification. (also if they're writing the kind of smut I like? Then we're likely similar flavors of freak and I know anything else they do is gonna be safe)

Also while I wanna write some vampire on vampire stuff, I generally prefer Daniel to be mortal for bodily exploitation purposes 😂

Kacy pls you know what things have been like for me lately, every two weeks something is going on that has me feeling like I'm living the Full Molloy lmao I'll never live down the experience of sitting in my car at 10pm and having that liquor store owner come outside and wave to me while Lixx runs around inside with an armful of bottles of wine for my shot nerves.

Anyways in all seriousness I think about Daniel's speech to Armand when he's dying a lot:

The refusal to ruminate or get sucked into thinking of all the possible wrong outcomes, that at the end of the day there is no wrong decision there's only action- I think there's something poignant there and I would do better to not be like Armand, convinced everything will turn out poorly in the end.

tng update for "elementary dear data" spoilers it's fucking garbage:

this episode is going to make me enter my television to kill dr pulaski. as noted previously, her interrupting geordi and data in the bar just to dunk on data was FUCKING AWFUL enough already but the premise of this entire episode is that she thinks data is a machine and not alive and she's gonna laugh at him when/if he fails to meet her standards

and instead of picard SHUTTING ANY OF THIS DOWN...

look. i get it. beverly was kind of annoying and Womanly and so they wanted a tough love no-nonsense bones 2.0 whose gender didn't have a bearing on her character. and it doesn't! pulaski has not uttered a single word about female and only one time has a bad guy pointed out that she has boobs. however there are a few SHARP differences between this woman and leonard mccoy

firstly, when bones is racist to spock, he's doing it as part of the little game they play. evidence that it's a game is 1. spock always fires back and often draws blood himself and 2. when spock was faced with real bigotry kirk shut it down immediately. since he doesn't tell bones to cram it, one can assume he has either correctly intuited that they're both consenting to, uh, whatever they've got going on, or he had a talk with one or both of them and got the green light. on the other hand, this lady has given data shit on the bridge in front of EVERYONE and picard gave her only the most minor of corrections. data NEVER insults her back and doesn't even always defend himself.

secondly, bones's respect for spock has always been clear. before they became more at ease with one another it was a more professional respect for a fellow coworker and after it was respect for spock's abilities, but there was always respect. bones never doubts spock's ability to do his job unless spock is having an emotion, and even then, what he will tend to cast doubts on is spock's JUDGMENT IN THE MOMENT, not his overall ability based on who he is. bones would never, for example, suggest spock wasn't loyal (like that one ensign did before kirk tore him a new one, or like multiple people suggested in the menagerie) or that he was incapable ("best first officer in the fleet"). meanwhile, pulaski asked "does it even know how to do that" the first time she told data to use the magnifier.

finally, bones is Like That about everyone and everything. he does nothing but complain like his life depends on it. on the other hand, pulaski seems to be picking on data specifically, though to be fair i am only 3 episodes in

like, this is not fond antagonism. it's not even MUTUAL antagonism. she's just fucking being horrible to him as a cheap way to invoke the old/spock energy and it is simply not it

the tragic thing is that i liked BOTH of her characters in tos and i really like her as an actress, she's got a great delivery. and i would have loved a tough love no-nonsense doctor lady whose gender didn't matter re: her character, especially after beverly. i mean let a woman complain! but so far she's had no real complaints about anyone or anything except data!!!!! i want to like her SO BAD and i just can't because she's SO HORRIBLE.

For some reason I can't help but imagine/hc Sasha as a huge capital W Weeb. Initially my thoughts were "Huge Royalty Isekai Manhwa Reader" but I don't think those really caught on in the English-speaking internet until 2017? Not sure.

Sasha would have her pulse on the latest releases and their ratings of whether they're garbage or not. She'd have stacks of manga at home and engages in online discourse about it to "de-stress" (only riles her up further lmao because dear god anitwt is something else). Her watchlist is ten miles long. I think she'd like Shonen but also enjoy Shojo.

Lmao so I go to this specific book store to by M rated manga and apparently the cashier recognizes me by my face lmao.

OKAY, SO,,, for 👀, one WIP that will probably never see the light of day is this forty-fifty page Hazbin fic I wrote like,,, two years ago or smth like that. It primarily starred Angel Dust and Alastor, and I wrote it because I ship them platonically and wanted to give them a QPR (since Alastor is aroace). I got pretty far into it, and ended up abandoning ship on a chapter in which there's a part at the Hotel and Vox and Valentino are fucking shit up. <3 There are still a lot of things I liked about that fic, especially the Vox and Alastor stuff (they're my two favourite characters to write of the Hazbin cast), but I probably won't ever post it because it's a real mess plot-wise, lmao. Despite my decision to not post it, I did go back through it like a month ago or smth and I replaced all instances of American spelling and implemented British English, because that is my preferred dialect, lmao.

Gonna just answer 💻 next before the snippet question. So, I already talked about the poker deep dive, which is probably the funniest and most elaborate research I've done, but aside from that, I mostly end up in deep dives about synonyms. As an NSFW writer (yeah, I am shamelessly admitting it <3), there are definitely times when I end up on tangents looking for appropriate dialogue and synonyms related to such things. There are also small-brain moments where I forget wtf a word is and am desperately trying to find the word I'm thinking of, lmao.

I started writing this fic a couple of weeks ago, but then had to stop because of an influx of homework from all of a sudden outta nowhere (DEAR GODS, THE DOC SAYS IT HASN'T BEEN EDITED SINCE THE 27TH). But, the synopsis is that it's a sickfic featuring Auric, Grimm, and Vesla (also Dryya briefly), but rather than being a wholesome sickfic, it's kind of depressing. <3 Perfectly angsty, as all things should be. aNyWaYs. When I had first started it, I wrote Auric's two-page POV in like,, two seconds, no problem, and then got stuck on Grimm because he is significantly more difficult for me to write. I'll just take a screenshot of a short section of Auric's POV. Keep in mind, I haven't reread it for grammar and syntax errors, so it might be kinda garbage. Bear with me here, lmao. JoshNeku Detective AU

This is an AU I pitched in the Dead God's Boytoy server and then a bunch of us developed it together and I decided I wanted to write it because I'm just absolutely in love with what we came up with.

Neku and Joshua are detectives working together to investigate a string of murders with a similar MO but no apparent commonality between the victims. Joshua has been working the case for months with almost no leads, so the agency assigns Neku--who just returned to work after a year-long leave--to be his partner in hopes that a fresh pair of eyes will help them crack the case.

I'm probably going to be focusing on this once the bang ends, and I'm so excited!

TWEWY Dystopian AU

I talked about this one here, so I'll share a snippet! This is the very beginning of the fic.

Neku breathed heavily beneath his mask. The alleyway he’d chosen smelled disgusting, and there was an open bag of trash spilling garbage at his feet, but it was secluded and, from what he’d gathered while observing for the past week, almost nobody ever came here. Which might defeat the purpose of the whole thing, but this was just a practice round. He needed to get used to this.

He knew it was dangerous, doing this without a lookout, but… he was willing to risk it.

One hand pinned the stencil against the wall, the other held a spray can in a trembling grip. The stencil was paper, easily disposable, with nothing tracing it back to Neku Sakuraba. He took a deep, steadying breath, and pressed down on the trigger.

JNS Fantasy AU

Neku is a sorcerer with ghosty powers, who runs a shop and offers seances, using his ability to make doors to the ghost world to let people speak to their dead loved ones. One day, Joshua comes into his shop, asking to speak to his father--typical stuff. Except it turns out that he's an exiled demon prince with plans of regaining his full power and ending the world. Neku, in a bid to save himself, offers to help Josh do this in exchange for his survival... which was what Joshua wanted him to do, so off they go, on a quest to bring about the apocalypse. Meanwhile, Shiki, a witch in a cat mask, is trying to stop them, for obvious reasons.

Shenanigans ensue. It’s a goofy JoshNekuShiki fantasy romcom, and my favorite bit from my notes is the line, “I can’t destroy the world without Neku. 🥺”

Reaper AU

I talked about this in detail here, and I put writing it on hold because of the bang but *vibrates at a frequency that can shatter glass* it's so GOOD! I haven’t written very much on it, though, so there’s nothing I’m comfortable sharing as a snippet, unfortunately.

Love, Shibuya Outline

This is a sequel/companion fic to “dear shibuya (end of my life)” by ryyves. It's a canon divergent AU where, because of the events of the first game, the Higher Plane decides to punish Joshua by making him Shibuya’s Producer, stripping him of his control and ability to directly influence the city. He can't get out of it, but he manages to convince them to let him choose the new Composer--and who better for that position than Neku?

We developed this AU together and it turned out they were interested in writing Neku’s storyline and I was interested in writing Joshua’s, so it worked out perfectly. EXCEPT IT'S BEEN LIKE A YEAR AND I HAVEN'T WRITTEN MY PART YET. 😭 In my defense, it is huge, like the fic doubles as a “the Wicked Twisters play the Game normally” AU but from Joshua’s perspective as an outsider, so it’s like... really intimidating? And I’ve only planned like the first two days. 😭

TWWY The Feels

Yes, the misspelling is in the file name lmao I'm too lazy to fix it. But it’s an edit to “The Feels” by Twice, and also a high school au! Nothing fancy, just the characters reflecting on their high school years right before graduation, with a focus on JoshNekuShiki because I'm me. It's made entirely in After Effects using fanart (used with permission from the artists) to tell the story, and has some of my best candy-style editing ever.

I used the song literally just because I like it, it’s cute, and I kept trying and failing to join MEPs with it (either the hosts were ignoring or rejecting my applications, YouTube was eating all of my comments, or some combination, idk) so I eventually just said fuck it and decided to do my own thing lmao
