Kazakhstan’s Minister of Communications and Informatics has blocked the Tumblr site because it contained 60 sites of terrorism, extremism, and pornography in 2015.
A few pages of Neil Gaiman's NORSE MYTHOLOGY. I thoroughly enjoyed working on this. It is very similar to the stylistic approach I am taking with GOOD OMENS - line art with color, though I think the art on GOOD OMENS is better overall.
The adaptation on this was by P Craig Russell, and the artists, including me, worked from Russell's layouts, which were very simple but perfectly designed.
The third volume in which my segment appears is now on sale. There is some great work by P Craig Russell, Galen Showman, and David Rubin in there. I particularly like David Rubin's color sense, it's just stupendous.
The Joker is on a world tour in a new anthology from DC Comics. Joker: The World will see the Clown Prince of Crime visiting 13 countries. Creatives for the 184 page hardcover include Geoff Johns, Satoshi Miyagawa, David Rubin, German Peralta, Alvaro Fong Varela, Jason Fabok, and more.
Joker: The World goes on sale on September 17, 2024 (available for preorder at comic shops on April 19).
At the San Diego Comic Con, Dark Horse announced Operation Sunshine, a new miniseries written by Henry Zebrowski and Marcus Parks, the host of The Last Podcast on the Left. They’re working with artist David Rubin, colorist K.J. Diaz and letterer Ferran Delgado on the story, which is about a group of young vampires trying to steal a mystical artifact that can turn them back into humans.
Volume 5 is finally here! Looking forward to completing this series that only receptor got the spotlight in our TOP TEN MOST WANTED NON-MARVEL/DC OMNIBUS episode! I know there are some who’d like a compendium (or so), which makes sense to me! But, man, I’m more than happy with my Library Editions!

Summary
Norse Mythology III #1 invites the reader to discover the vast realm of the Aesir and Norse gods. It turns out there are many beings…
Cosmic Detective follows an unnamed detective as he investigates the murder of a rhubarb… Uh, I mean god-like eternal being. Look, it totally makes sense when you read the book.
The story of Cosmic Detective from Jeff Lemire and Matt Kindt sees that detective get too close to figuring out exactly what happened to that god-like eternal being before everything falls apart. Who are they? What are they doing here? What’s going on?
The artwork in this book was wild. Every time that I flipped the (digital) page, I had no idea what to expect next. David Rubin did an incredible job, and I loved the way that this book looked. The way the gods were portrayed was super cool.
I wanted to check this book out because of the title and the cover. I know that’s common, but I truly do love just blindly picking a comic based on the title and cover. I dove fully into this book without even reading the synopsis, and I was pleasantly rewarded.
I had a lot of fun with this book and think you should check it out if you get the chance. This is the second book from Image Comics that I’ve read lately that I really dug (Do A Powerbomb!).
Thank you Netgalley and Image Comics for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
