As humans, we are naturally inclined to impatience. Maybe because we only have a lifetime or less to accomplish our plans. When we are being tempted to rush things, let us take a moment to contemplate upon the eternal nature of God. God’s plan and purpose is not held back by time as ours is. While we have a lifetime or less to accomplish our plans, God has eternity to accomplish His. However, our consolation is that, despite having our days numbered, we have a place in God’s plan since the creation of the world. God knows the end and the beginning and can see the final result of every event and every decision. Because of His eternal perspective, God sees not only where we are but also where we came from and where we are going. While we focus primarily on the present, God’s focus is outside the parameters of time. He knows the final result of every action we could ever take, and as a result, He knows what’s best for us. He works before us and behind us and directs us to the best paths for our lives. SATURDAY WORKOUT of kickboxing was thwarted by and unexpected Zumba class... good thing I love to dance! During class I felt my right knee start to hurt, reminding me that (1) I need more stretching in my routine and (2) the importance of proper shoe wear with workouts you decide to do. Zumba requires dance style shoes, or at least ones that are more flat with less grip on the bottom, but provide enough traction not to fall... I was dressed for something else. Take these signs/symptoms as a means to identify these weaknesses with your routine to prevent actual injury and joint over-use. Getting older isnt for the weak!
