Something something the day Ice realises he's really a dad, and he hopes to never lose the right to be one, is a Friday, and it's because three pair of shoes are aligned on the left side of the door. He knows Mav and his won't change size, but he has a not-so-distant-memory of Bradley's one being half of the size of Mav's, but now they are almost at the same size. He was around for this boy enough to see something as stupid as a change of feet size, but with it came so many other things he almost doesn't know what to do with all the emotions he's feeling.
"Dad, everything's okay?" Bradley asks, after he spent a minute too much staring at their shoes.
"Yeah, Baby Goose," he answers, hugging him. "everything's perfect." Ice smiles, opening his arms to ask for a hug that Bradley delivers without asking.
(Ice hopes that Bradley isn't going to be too tall for another while, just like his shoes aren't going to get too big all of a sudden. He hopes that even if all these changes are going to happen all at once he will be around. He wants to be around.)

I really want to read a de-aged Bradley (physically and mentally) during his first run at Top Gun where he continues to ask for his dad and pops and nobody, not even Phee, know what the fuck to do because Bradley never talks about his family. Until on day, maybe on the third one since the transform, Admiral Kazansky is around because of paperwork™️ not to spy on Bradley not at all and the kid runs to him and nobody has the courage to move. And then there's baby Bradldy talking with his soft voice, crying against the shoulder of The Iceman who looks a minute away to cry to while hugging the baby and whispering sweet nothings at him.

Ice projects the room because, sometimes, he likes to watch up to the sky without having to actually going out. The floor is coverd by a tick soft carpent that calls for naps. More than once he dosed off and woke up the morning after with Maverick cuddling him and a blanket shilding both of them from the bad weather and the light coming from the glass roof.
After the mission it becomes the kids favourite place to hang out during the nights where they're all to tired. It's routine, this days: they all twelve come around for lunch or dinner, sometimes taking food with them and sometimes not, eat, clean the table and fhen disappear in the den. After a couple of hours, if they come over for dinner, they're already sleeping, cuddling in weird positions that makes Mav's back hurt, but always liked one to another by an arm, a leg o a foot on the stomach. After the first couple of times the older men started leaving blankets and pillows because they both know how cold it can get up there.
(Mav has photographic evidence of them cuddling all twelve together. And he has a backup of the photo and so does Ice and so does their entire '86 class because look! A puppy pile! wasn't something to lost.)

Pete and Tom are that type of embarrassing parents who go to pick up Bradley at school and Pete jumps to make himself noticeable and Tom spends half an hour more than most parents to speak with his teachers during parents-teachers meeting and he doesn't miss one of them.
Pete learns how to cook cupcakes just so he can take them for the after game and Tom makes them both a shirt with Bradley's number so everybody knows who's their kid his.
(And it get even worst when the Dagger Squad comes around. Because the embarrassing stuff multiply for twelve and does Admiral Kazansky really has a shirt with 00 and Dagger Squad stamped around it? Mav has one too.)

The very first dad thing Iceman does after having acquired eleven new children is putting a picture of everyone of his desk and one of the whole family on the wall.
(It's always a fun conversation when new people come around and he has to explain that yes that's his family, yes he has twelve grown up kids, yes he is married to Rare Admiral Mitchell now and no, he always was married to Rare Admiral Mitchell, even when he was a Captain.)

Long stretch of deployments in the middle of the ocean, with bad weather, meant this: nine o'clock breakfast, Iceman spooing around him and his face smashed in boyfriend's chest, three blankets on them because of the fucking humidity and slow hours playing poker or shitty games Wolfman made up in his sleep. Goose's head resting against Slider's shoulder and Sunny moaning about how he was missing out the hot chocolate from the coffee at the corner of his new house and Chip rebutting the only thing you miss is the free stuff the batista who has a crush on you give you asshole! Mav loved those days as much as the one where they flow.
(Bad weather, in the middle of the ocean, when he was on an assignment without his squadron, his people, ment this: nine o'clock breakfast but at six a.m., five blankets because no Ice meant his bones felt three times the humidity, gossip around endless hands of poker and so much paperwork it would make him cry. It meant, really, writing every single letter he could to whomever it came in mind because please, fuck paperwork. During that times Ice's letter where particularly long and detailed.)
Bad weather days now mean this: mornings in bed, heat pads under the blankets because of Ice's bad knee and Mav's bad shoulder, kissing until one, or two, hand end up under a t-shirt, or pants, and slow lovemaking because there isn't hurry to be anywhere. Breakfast in bed, jazz music as background and phones buzzing with three hundred notifications because the squad wants to share every boring details of a boring boring day and it means too hot tea in the afternoon and long conversations over Skype with Slider and the cat lazing around on their lap, people around for dinner and Bradley, and the squad, coming around for dinner and dessert and falling asleep in the den.
Mav loves these days as much as he loves sunny days. He gets to kiss Ice every morning and every time he wants, so for him, is always sunny. Even if it rains.

Not Halo saying the most annoyed dad, two a's and the longest d she can pronounce, to Admiral Kazansky after he spent ten minutes signing her something. In front of seven different Admirals and the SECNAV.

Thomas grew up like this: the couple of times his dad took him out to dinner, he had ten minutes to choose what to eat or he would choose for him. But his dad was a military piece of shit who died crying in his bed because his only son decided the Navy was better than the Marines. Thomas doesn't miss him.
Bradley grows up like this: Tom takes him out to dinner when he has time, and they spend at least ten minutes discussing what's on the menu and another ten minutes actually choosing what to eat. The majority of the waitresses certainly doesn't like them, which Tom cannot blame; but if they knew they wouldn't blame him for taking up so much of their time. Tom makes an effort to make everu supper exciting and interesting and, for Bradley, evrry little detail that rally catechesi his attenzione is captured in the pages he mails to Maverick, with long description of everything Baby Goose thinks important. The first time that happens, the first time he sees on of the drawings, Tom sheds a few tears because he couldn't have anticipated Bradley liking his dinner ideas much less to the point to talk about them to his favourite uncle. He put the sketch of the two of them eating at a dinosaur-themed restaurant on the fridge and it makes him smile even before his first coffee.

3rd option deaged Bradley and admiral ice with the baby carrier
Lemme raise you to this: deaged is magic so what if magic decides Bradley has to grow a couple of years every two/three days? So, pre first cancer era, Admiral Kazansky comes around at Top Gun and there's Tasha holding this baby that looks a lot like baby goose before Ice met Goose and Mav, back in 1986, and so for the first part of the week One Star Admiral Kazansky goes around with Baby Goose strapped on his chest, taking meetings and completing his paper with the baby always with him. But that's just the first two days!
