y'know, back when I used Reddit, if you found some hateful content of any sort, it wasn't that hard to report it. You clicked the "Report" button, selected "Hateful Content" out of the wide variety of options available, and then clicked the "Submit" button. I did this pretty often, because some of the communities I was in attracted rather unsavory characters as a side effect.
Do you know what happened next? Next, I received an automated message that said basically "Hey, thanks for reporting This Content (link to reported content). We've received your report and will review it shortly." Usually, a day or two later, you'd receive another message in your inbox saying "Thanks again for reporting. We found this content in violation of our TOS and have removed it." Sure enough, if you followed the link back to whatever you reported, it would be gone.
It was that easy. No explaining yourself, no explaining yourself again but differently, no redirect to a new tab, you didn't even need to know the specifics of what did or didn't violate TOS. No matter what happened, they would write back and tell you what was going on. If the reported content didn't violate TOS, they would tell you.
When I hopped over here full-time, I continued that reporting habit, thinking it'd be largely the same experience. I have had complete and utter radio silence from @staff on every single report I've ever filed. Have I been making a difference? Is my voice being considered? Who knows! But it certainly hasn't felt like it so far.
At least now I know those reports were going straight into the garbage, rather than just having to wonder.

as a reminder, a bunch of the tmagp leads have been in other rq productions already, so if you like what you're hearing and want more of them, voices you have already heard include:
shahan hamza (sam): plays sivapathasundaram in trice forgotten, a plucky young cartographer on the run from the british after escaping execution for a crime he didn't commit. anxious and insecure with a tendency to run his mouth at all times, siva either instantly charms or makes enemies of everyone he meets.
sarah lambie (lena): plays octavia in cry havoc, sister to the triumvir gaius octavius. a bit of a champagne socialist who expresses her frustration at the roman political sphere through writing plays, octavia is trying to reconcile her position of vulnerability as a woman with her position of privilege as a noble, mayhaps finding love with an actress in her company along the way 👀
ryan hopevere-anderson (colin): plays sextus pompey in cry havoc, notorious pirate with a notoriously good ass. he's dangerous, he's sexy, he gives good relationship advice, he's here to kidnap the triumvirate's nearest and dearest for a hefty ransom.
kazeem tosin amore (teddy): plays mark antony in cry havoc, triumvir of rome who "doesn't do numbers" because "there's millions of them." he loves rome and he loves his wife, but he trained for the battlefield, not admin, and would rather do almost anything than have a conversation about negotiating supplies of grain. he's brash and impulsive, but a hard backbone runs through him, and there are certain moral lines he cannot ever bring himself to cross, even when he wants to.

“Hello? 999? I think I just heard a Triumvir of Rome hug a dude real hard in order to stick them on the thousands of sharp needles poking out of his skin. …The youngest one. … Yeah, him. … Yes, I’ll hold.”

The Magnus Protocol casting just dropped and it turns out it’s perfect time to interest you all in different RQ podcasts.
Shahan Hamza (Sam) and Lowri Ann Davies (Celia Ripley) are in Trice Forgotten. It’s wonderful story about captain Alestes and her growing crew who undertake many tasks and risks to try and earn some money while Alestes’ past comes back for her. It have pirates, found-family and amazing music. It is also very gay. (You can also hear there your other RQ voices like Alex Newall, Tim Meredith, Fay Roberts, Lydia Nicholas and many more)
Ryan Hopevere-Anderson (Colin Becher), Kazeem Tosin Amore (Teddy Vaughn), Sarah Lambie (Lena Kelley) and Ellie Dickens (Lady Mowbray) are in Cry Havoc! Ask Questions Later. It is Roman comedy that takes place after Caesar’s assassination. Mark Antony and Gaius Octavius try to rule Rome while being completely broke and Cleopatra comes to visit. It have amazing jokes, theatre, pirates, lesbians, cult and much more! Eleventh episode was just released so it’s perfect time to join and listen.
If you are wondering about actors from TMP cast you don’t know, I highly recommend to go check out these podcasts. They are really amazing. Additionally you will be able to listen to voice actors and believe me, they’re very talented bunch.

I like the difference in what draws the line in soundscaping for various Rusty Quill productions.
We get one kiss in The Magnus Archives because kisses sound awful (I'm indifferent to them but just going with the popular take)
In Stellar Firma there are multiple instances of one character putting another's foot in their mouth, a long with barfing/secreting unholy mounts of moisturizer
And in Cry Havoc, we have an orgy

Hello, and happy New Years all!
I am very excited to announce the launch of my second comic, Cry Havoc, which can be read on ComicFury at the following URL: https://cryhavoc.thecomicseries.com/
Cry Havoc is an original piece of Animal Fiction following the conflict between a farmer's dog and the wild canines that threaten his flock.
Be aware that the comic will contain depictions of violence against animals, animal suffering, and animal death. If you are particularly sensitive to this kind of content, the comic may not be for you!

We're trading podcast recommendations with Rusty Quill this month!
Between most episodes, you'll hear me talk about Cry Havoc: Ask Questions Later, a sitcom set in ancient Rome just after the death of Julius Caesar, when his best man, his nervous nephew, and Cleopatra are all vying to be Rome's next great power.
It's by the creator of beloved horror sitcom Wooden Overcoats!
While I'm quite limited about what I promote on the Hallowoods feed, this is a fun show, and I'm glad to see RQ trying to get its lesser-known shows into the spotlight, especially when the cast + writing crew is full of talents like this one.
And then a recommendation for us will pop up on a Rusty Quill original show later this month. Keep an ear out and see if you can spot it. 👀

octavia caesar cry havoc ask questions later is truly the character ever. shes a lesbian. shes horny. she’s a theater kid. she thinks getting kidnapped by pirates is exciting and that having a sexy forbidden whirlwind romance is hot. her brother rules the goddamn country and shes just “lmao sucks to be you”. she runs a cult. she suffers from writers block. her best friends are a dramatic gay guy who would sell her to satan for a corn chip, the teenage son of her brother’s rival and the dread king of the pirates who kidnapped her. shes an alcoholic. she thinks being depressed is aesthetic. her answer to a legitimate warning is “i love you.” she doesn’t care that her girlfriend tried to kill her brother. she’s unhinged. she writes political satire. she doesn’t like acting but did it anyway to kiss her girlfriend. shes a champagne socialite. she gets into sibling fights. she gets love advices from aforementioned dread pirate king after she writes a play for him. her yearning lesbian romance play wins over cleopatra herself. i love her

lepidus cryhavoc needs to be studied. he is the epitome of some guy he wants to throw a birthday party, he sets himself on fire by accident when greeting Cleopatra the pharaoh of Egypt™, no one likes him, he gets invited to orgies, he gets all the guests invited to his aforementioned birthday party assassinated, he gets kicked out of his own house and then receives it as a birthday gift, the pirates who keep him for ransom ask no money to send him back, he's technically in charge of the Roman republic but no one knows him. this isn't even scratching the surface. fascinating. get this man on a petri dish.
