lucy absolutely demolishing the biscuit at the start of her interview bc she hasn't had anything to eat for who knows how long
george and lockwood deciding then and then that they are adopting this feral alley cat of a girl

WAIT
the entirety of the show lucy has been willing to be upfront about how she came to london and lockwood and co.
during her interview she offers to tell them why her last employment ended so suddenly but neither lockwood nor george pressed her about it
but every time someone asks her about something (like the picture of her and norrie right before the fittes ball) she's ready to talk about it
in the pre fittes ball scene lockwood says "you never said" and she just tells him that he never asked as though it completely resolves his confusion- but to lockwood who almost never opens up unless he feels he *has* to he can't fathom why someone would want to talk about a traumatic past so willingly.
he seems almost surprised that after knowing him for such a short amount of time lucy would be so willing to be so candid with him

no bc barnes is the only adult in lucy's life who hasn't had it out for her.
her mother forced her to start working for jacobs
jacobs got her team killed and ghost locked and then lied about it
she was let down by the justice system
all the adults she saw at agencies when she first got to london turned her away with barely a second though
penelope fittes is (more than) a big two faced. yeah she got jacobs fired from his position but she then turned around and tried to lure lucy into working for her
most of the other adults in the show are all actively try to cause harm to lucy, lockwood, and george
and while i don't love that barnes brought lucy to an interrogation room and tried to force her talent (what's his face who lockwood and co *thought* killed annabel ward)- it scared her so badly.
but barnes has been the only one to actively show care for lucy and the boys.
"don't let this be the last time i see you alive" and then worrying that he's not doing right by them- i want to see more interaction between the team and barnes. i want lucy (and lockwood) to see that not every adult is out to get them, because george seems fo understand that, but when your friends are deeply traumatized there's only so much you can do to convince them

so at the end of the season lucy says she's not so afraid anymore- of her power or in general- and that gave me a little itch.
i honestly think lucy is incredibly brave- in the first episode we she her turn and face her fear on her first job, throwing those salt bombs at the visitor. then we see her put herself between norrie and another visitor. she does her damndest to get jacobs held accountable. she stands up to her mother and goes off to london, a place where she has nothing and knows no one.
being an agent wasn't her choice and she's freely admitted that she doesn't want to do this job because she's afraid. in the last episode she puts herself between george and the mirror, she decides that if this mirror is going to hurt or kill someone it will not be another one of her friends.
she may not be as afraid as she was, but i don't think lucy realizes how brave she's really been.

at the start of episode two when DEPRAC shows up while the house is burning- that had to have been so very disorienting for lucy, like she just made connection with a ghost for the first time on that level, jumped out of a burning building, probably has smoke inhalation and can't find lockwood. who always makes her feel safe! who provides comfort!
ALSO- i need to see george and lockwood finding out about lucy's home life before coming to london
the nurse in episode two said that lucy's mother didn't care about lucy being in hospital, and we all saw her hit lucy. i want lucy to get to mourn the family she *could have had* and i want lockwood to mourn the family he lost and i just want them to get to heal and love each other

old money! soft boyfriend! steve would absolutely spoil his gf- totally not brought on by my hair and nail appointments- but he would totally pay for both of those. and he's totally being you food- i'm imagining sushi- and he would definitely help you eat it (esp. at the nail appointment). he'd love to sit with you for the duration of both- he'd just be so soft and in love.

i want to see more about the thing george was saying about very sensitive listeners tending to loose it a bit before their talent fades
when the skull first talks to lucy she seems to be legitimately afraid that that may be what's happening. even george and lockwood seem a bit worried about that and i think that could be really cool to see more of

it's lockwood keeping such a calm and level head in the red room while lucy is borderline panicking and george looks like he's ready to shut down
