“The WBD tactic of scrapping fully made films for tax breaks is predatory and anti-competitive,” the San Antonio Democrat wrote. “As the Justice Department and @FTC revise their antitrust guidelines they should review this conduct. As someone remarked, it’s like burning down a building for the insurance money."

i can't believe it, i was looking forward to this movie for years. i was happy enough that my favorite looney tune was getting his own movie but the fact that it was COMPLETED and the people who have seen it say it was excellent just makes it that much more disappointing. shame on warner bros

So, we're approaching the official announcement of Coyote Vs. Acme's fate. For those unaware, Coyote Vs. Acme is basically a movie about Wile E. Coyote suing the ACME corporation for selling defective products. Despite the movie being fully finished (and being pretty good according to pretty much everyone who's actually watched it), Warner Bros. opted not to release it and instead claim a tax write-off of $30 million (note that the movie itself had a budget of $80 million). Due to absolutely massive backlash from pretty much everyone from fans to industry members to a US Representative, Warner Bros. agreed to let the movie's crew shop it around to other distributors. However, it turned out that Warner Bros. set an asking price of $80 million, and refused to negotiate further. On April 23rd, there's going to be an earnings call, and if they commit to claiming that tax break, the film is going to be deleted forever.
So, I felt it was important to remind everyone that not only would the movie being deleted be nothing short of a tragedy, it would be pretty much the worst business decision possible.

Ok, so they can save Coyote vs. ACME. How about Scoob! Holiday Haunt??? 😭 I still want to see that movie.
If Nimona survived, than Scooby can also survive.
Still can't wait for new informations about Coyote vs. ACME. I really want to see that movie. People said that this movie is great and very close to Roger Rabbit. You have no idea HOW HUGE this is. I mean, not many animated/live-action films can be comparing to Roger Rabbit. This is really a huge thing.

Screen shots are starting to surface from the Coyote vs. Acme movie.
There's a non-zero chance that someone has a complete copy of the film, which means a non-zero chance it might get leaked.

The erasure of Coyote Vs. Acme is what happens in the age of "content" when we allow people in charge who only see art as an investment opportunity and for its capitalistic value instead of a medium of expression and entertainment.

Do We Need A New Version of 'Salem's Lot?'
Apparently there’s a new version of Stephen King’s Salems’s Lot, and according to King it’s quite good though for whatever reason Warner Bros. has not released it (in theaters or streaming). Now I can see why Stephen King is concerned, after all it’s not beyond reason to think that maybe the series/movie will not be released at all, a repeat of what happened to Batgirl. Or Coyote Vs…

Zaslav and the other bastards currently running the studio have not only popularized dropping projects off the face of the earth for a quick tax write-off/depriving people of residuals, they are now purposely over-spending on new talent deals in order to make selling the studio easier in the near future.
Coyote vs. Acme has apparently been officially shelved and possibly deleted. (source)
When they started deleting shows off of HBO/HBO Max/Max, I ended my subscription and have never gone back since.
I already have a ticket to see Dune: Part Two, which I will still use because getting said ticket was difficult. But after that, until Zaslav is gone, I am not giving Warner my money for theatrical or streaming. If I see any of their releases, it'll be because of my job. I'm done.

‘Coyote Vs. Acme’: Why This Film Deserves To Be Seen?
Back in 2019, Dave Green was hired to direct a hybrid live-action movie about Wile E. Coyote titled Coyote Vs. Acme. The movie only began to actually move its engines in early 2022, when John Cena, Will Forte and the rest of the cast began production on the highly anticipated film. Production went from March to May 2022. Following that, the movie had its test screenings, and the scores were high…
