This is your regular reminder that cows have best friends and it is unethical to use them as meat shields, even if you use their friends too.

I was listening to a radio interview in the car during lunch the other day. They were interviewing an expert in animal husbandry. And they began discussing cows.
I shit you not. This man said, “cows have best friends.”
I was just getting out of the car too. Nearly keeled over laughing.

OH MY GOD (or should i say Jod)
Mithra, the god whose temples were called Mithraeum, is the PROTECTOR OF CATTLE
I cannot BELIEVE the levels of foreshadowing the Tamsyn Muir is capable of.
(also guardian of the Waters sure could mean something important soon)

I do think sometimes about the mindset of, it's not love if they hurt you, it's not love if it's one-sided, it's not love if it doesn't help you grow and tbh? you can think about this a lot of ways & no one has the one true definition of love. But speaking of tlt in particular, I think for a lot of the characters the tragedy was that it WAS love. that love just sucked for everyone involved, or it wasn't enough to save them, or it happened too late or too early, or it consumed them completely leaving nothing behind. it's saying something about how love often doesn't acknowledge any boundaries even when it maybe should. I don't think she has some kind of "love will save us" narrative because love is just the force behind the actions of the characters

I’m probably not the first person to notice this but I just started rereading Harrow and…
That’s a cow skull, right? Very stylized obviously, but it’s a cow skull. And also:
This is a description of the carvings above the hidden Lyctor lab in Gideon.
Did Jod really make an eldritch cow his symbol? Is that what this is?
