I’d like to take a moment to appreciate that the main ships with jean prouvaire, someone who canonically “dresses badly”, are courfeyrac and montparnasse - the two guys who, out of all the guys in the brick, care the most about fashion and their Look (and would have the greatest conflict over their adoration for jehan vs how AWFUL their outfit combos are)

Because there should be more love for Courf/Jehan

Two balls of light and sweetness together I mean??

When they move in together their flat quickly becomes 60% glitter and 30% plant life

Courf takes it upon himself to be a good influence on Jehan’s wardrobe. … It ends up that the complete opposite happens but he maintains they both pull it off so it doesn’t matter. 

They’re like the world’s worst with super cutesy pda. Seriously they’re nearly always touching. Leaning on each other. Playing with each others hair. Sitting on each other’s laps. Nose kisses.  It’s gross. And adorable 

On that subject, they do the ‘No you hang up’ thing all the time on the phone and people are starting to think they’re not being ironic.

They always win couples costumes contests. Always. 

Neither is tall per say but Courf is a tiny bean and so sometimes Jehan doesn’t so much greet him as come up behind him wrap their arms around him and lift him full off the ground. 

Partly because they like to remind people that they’re actually kind of strong despite appearances… But mostly because it makes Courf laugh so brightly Jehan says the sun comes out. 

They have the absolute worst (best) ugly Christmas jumpers every year and they both go around wearing handbands with mistletoe on and just finding ways to stand over people like a pair of ugly christmas sweater wearing cupids.

Courf is a small bundle of ‘fight me’ who goes off at anyone who dares to insult his partner or his relationship.

Jehan… well… lets just say there’s more than one very surprised and definitely scared bigot out there.

Sometimes Courf will wake up to find poetry stuck to his mirror. He has a draw in his office where he keeps them for the bad days to cheer him up. 

Sometimes he pays the favour back and Jehan will wake up to find a limerick. They’re terrible, but they keep all of them in a keepsake box. 

They’re the friends everyone goes to when they’re sad. Jehan wraps them up like burritos, makes tea and strokes their hair, whilst Courf waxes lyrical about how amazing they are and how dumb other people are until they feel better.

Courf once asked Combeferre and Enjolras if they ever gave Jehan the ‘If you ever hurt our friend’ speech and they both burst into tears. (They tried. Jehan was so good about it and gave a little speech on how much Courf meant to them and they were both so touched…). 

Bahorel gave Courf the speech. He’s not sure how serious he was about certain parts but he is grateful he never had any intention of testing him.

Since they’re both literal sunshine people assume they never argue, but they still have their moments like everyone. But they always make up very quickly because neither has ever been good at grudge holding.

They’re both vanilla as fuck but everyone thinks they’re probably super kinky… and they maybe encourage that idea for fun to watch people blush.

They tried roleplay one time and Jehan just broke into giggles after like thirty seconds.

They’re both allergic to animal fur so they have a sphynx cat officially called Nofurtiti but everyone calls her Bossuet (Bossuet calls her ‘my long lost twin’).

Ahoy hoy fellow Aussie!!! (Did you see that vid of the South Australian premier absolutely roasting the federal government over their treatment of renewable energy yesterday oml I swear I was reborn)

 I can definitely see the appeal of Courf/Jehan and it plays to a lot of really sweet tropes (Friends to lovers, introvert/extrovert, etc). I’ve enjoyed reading it as a side pairing in many ships (World Aint Ready for example, be still my beating heart) and I’ve even written some CourfJehan when prompted. 

It’s not my go to pairing for either of the characters, but I am certainly not opposed to it, and would not turn down a prompt to writing it!
