It all Started Here
Twelve seasons ago at Coors Field, a friend of a friend recommended me for a job. Terri introduced me to Mountain Ranch Club Manager, Kevin, who gave me the opportunity to host at the club level restaurant.
Mountain Ranch Club is located in Right Field. There are two tiers of patio seating and two tiers of covered openair seating inside. Fans are exposed to all our wonderful, crazy Colorado weather and should be prepared. Two tiers above the Club level, is The Mountain Ranch Bar and Grille. Mountain Ranch Club is ticketed seating; MRBG on the third level of the stadium welcomes anyone with a ticket to the ballpark.
This is an experience for all fans and arguably one of the best ways to watch baseball at Coors Field. Both the Bar and Grille and The Club serve an all-you-can-eat buffet for $30. It's available until the seventh inning. Club level seating has amazing views of the field and TV monitors on every table. MRBG has views of the field, obstructed views and limited views. Tickets for MRC are $110 for most games and include a $30 food and beverage credit. Purchase online at ColoradoRockies.com or by calling 303-ROCKIES. Reservations for MRBG can only be made online -- three days before the home stand for season ticket holders and two days prior for casual fans.
Kevin is no longer with us but the opportunity he gave me blossomed into a later-in-life career. Twelve years ago, I was commuting to games from Longmont and never for a moment felt like I had to go to work. I felt like I was going to "play". Now the walk is ten minutes from home to "play". Many of the staff from my first season still spend their summers at Coors Field. Our season ticket holders have become family and their kids have grown up with us. Other servers have moved on but that's another story.
Whether you're a newbie to Coors Field or a seasoned Rockies fan, watch for the overhead placards on the main concourse and head up to Mountain Ranch. Tell the elevator host you have reservations or take your chances at open seating at the bar.
Thank you for coming! Have a lovely day and go Rockies!
