Background:
I actually have a degree in 3D and 2D animation from on the the top art schools in the USA. However, I really didn't learn much about drawing in school. I learn more about 3D/2D programs and how the 3D animation industry works. I learned how to draw/paint mostly on my own.
I started out as a digital artist and still am a digital artist. It not so much the medium in which one draws on but what one is learning how to draw. Much like music - doesn't matter which instrument one is learning how to play, one needs to learn their scales. In art those "scales" are learning anatomy (which nobody learns), color theory (which is my pride and joy), perspective (super hard), gesture and form (super fun once you get it).
Remember, everyone learns differently and at their own speed. Find what makes you want to learn and a fun way to learn for you. Hope this helps! Best of luck on your art journey.

gus headcanons
his full name is augustine but only his family calls him that
he has an older brother named algernon, and four precocious little nieces who love terrorizing their uncle gus
he loves to dance! our boy can cut a rug for sure, and he’s not shy about it, it’s just that he usually has to watch the kitchen and the food tables at any town gathering so he’s too busy for the dance floor
he started out working as a busser in the old saloon when he was still in high school/secondary school, then went to culinary school out west before coming back to run the place
has a homoerotic rivalry with the city health inspector. the saloon is immaculate and always passes with flying colors, but you couldn’t tell that from the way gus and the inspector talk to each other
of course he sources smuggled gotoro empire produce from the traveling merchant. “the secret ingredient is crime” is one of his catchphrases
he keeps a calendar with everyone’s birthday on it so he can remember to send them a special little dish
every so often he sends harvey home from the saloon with a jar of homemade aromatic broth or hearty stew, and some fresh bread with hand-churned butter. the good doctor really would survive on frozen meals and multivitamins otherwise
he’s a champion bowler in the inter-city intramural leagues. they call him “gus goldfingers”
the first time sandy visited the saloon, he got so flustered he dropped his phone directly into a pot of consommé by mistake
the man is terribly nearsighted so he wears specialty contact lenses
he always has a little container of vaseline in his pockets. it helps keep his hands soft and it’s good for covering tiny cuts in a pinch
when he was younger he wanted to join the military. then he visited a local army barracks on a school field trip and tasted the military rations, which swiftly and permanently changed his mind
he’s lefthanded so his kitchen is built to accommodate him. emily is also lefthanded, so they work well together
he’s the only one in town grandma evelyn trusts with her secret chocolate chip cookie recipe, and he’s been sworn to secrecy
he really likes the idea of having tattoos, but he’s scared of needles, so he lets his nieces stick temporary tattoos all over his arms whenever he visits them

Sean Connery's own 'James Bond Car' Sells For $2.4 Million
A silver Aston Martin DB5 that had been owned by actor Sean Connery was sold at auction Thursday for $2.4 million.
It was a 1964 Aston Martin DB5, just the sort of car that British secret agent James Bond drove in the 1960s films in which he was played by Connery.
The Bond character has been played by a number of actors and has driven many different cars in the more than two dozen films in the series. They've included everything from BMWs and Bentleys to Chevrolets and Fords. But the 1964 is still the best known "Bond car."
The one that Connery first drove in the 1964 film "Goldfinger" was an Aston Martin DB5 replete with gadgets like machine guns, an ejector seat and an oil slick maker. More than 50 years later, Connery purchased a 1964 DB5 for himself -- though it lacked the movie car's guns and gadgets -- in early 2018. Connery died almost two years later at the age of 90. It was only DB5 he ever actually owned.
At $2.4 million, which included fees to the auction company Broad Arrow, the car fetched more than originally projected. The company had expected it to sell for between $1.4 million and $1.8 million at its collector car auction in Monterey, California. The buyer was not named. The auction is one of a number of collector car sales during Monterey Car Week, an annual series of classic car events on California's Monterey Peninsula.
A 1964 Aston Martin DB5 in this car's pristine condition would typically be worth about $1 million, according to the classic car insurance and event company Hagerty, which recently took full ownership of Broad Arrow.
DB5s directly associated with James Bond films have sold for vastly more than that. A gadget-filled DB5 that was used to promote the film's original release sold for $6.4 million in 2019.
During his life, Connery had often told his children of his fond memories of driving the Aston Martin in films, his son Jason Connery said in an interview. When they were grown they suggested to their father that he buy one, but he was resistant to the idea.
"He'd say, 'I don't want to because it feels a bit obvious, you know, with me,'" Jason Connery said. "I said, 'But forget it, it's not about that.'"
Barney Ruprecht, an Aston Martin specialist with Broad Arrow who had also consulted with Connery on making the purchase, advised Connery against getting a car in need of restoration since the work would probably take a couple of years, he said. Instead, he and Connery sought out a car that was in as near-perfect condition as possible. The car remains in very nearly that condition, according to Ruprecht, with only some creases in the seat leather as evidence it has been sat in.
Once Connery purchased the car, he had it repainted from black to Snow Shadow Gray, the color closest to that of the movie car.
But after that work was done, there was little time left to actually drive it.
"Unfortunately as he got older, traveling, especially to Europe [became difficult] and then COVID hit and...," said Jason Connery. "You know, unfortunately, he never really got to enjoy the car that he'd bought."
The car was kept by Connery at his home in Switzerland, according to Jason Connery. He was so fond of the car, he kept a photo of it on his desk.
A substantial portion of the proceeds from the sale will go to support the Connery Family Philanthropy Fund, according to the Broad Arrow Group. In addition to the car itself, the winning bidder will receive a ride in the car from the famous retired Formula 1 racing driver Jackie Stewart.
Stewart, like Connery, is from Scotland, and the two were longtime friends.

“THIS. MY. SHIIIIIT!!!! I don’t know how you guys choose movies, but sometimes I get a super specific vibe-craving of exactly what I want to watch. There are like millions of movies to choose from, but you’d be surprised how few will actually check all the boxes. Lately, I’ve been seeking out ‘1960s contemporary technicolor nautical adventure that’s not a war movie and has significant amounts of underwater photography.’ Basically THE LIFE ACQUATIC but not a spoof. And yo - FOUND IT. Father Bridges playing it straight, golden brown and fit. GOLDFINGER bird no longer covered in gold paint. Square-jawed adventure! A color palette (see below) that sends, me, brother. I audibly gasped at times.”

Cosplay observations this afternoon: so you've got the Jin clan, right?
Everybody knows they wear gold--except that they both do and they also don't.
Like, yeah, on the whole, the costuming is golden, but it's more like pale yellow and cream and non-metallic gold and even shades of brown and beige with metallic gold details: the embroidery is gold, the borders and hems are gold, hair ornaments are gold, &c. So, yes, they do wear gold but it's not all metallic gold all the time. In fact, the costuming often has touches of blue to it in collars or linings or underlayers (thank goodness).
And then there's this asshole:
Jin "Goldfinger" Guangshan.
All joking aside, I just really appreciate the costuming decision to go hardcore on the metallic gold details in JGS's outfit(s). He's so much more intensely, obviously metallic gold as compared to the other characters. There's more contrasting texture in the fabrics, more obvious patterning in the fabrics, way more layers, way more embroidery, and definitely the most elaborate, dangly, bigass yaopei in the entire series. And not a bit of blue to be seen. In fact, the contrasting color is metallic bronze rather than blue or a light brown. There's just so much more gold going on with his costuming than the rest of the Jins and the point I'm coming to is that I think it speaks to his character: he's ostentatious, he's demanding of attention, he's flashy, he thinks he's gangster. He is, in an word, "blingy."
*Jin Furen has a lot of metallic gold and embroidery in her costuming too but it's still nowhere near JGS's.

: alright now we finally got my favorite one lemmy! He may be so short he had to stand on a chair in order to get this picture but he's actually older than iggy! He's obviously very childish and he puts stickers on his face as an Accessory he's got multicolored hair and a fun energetic personality he has a circus ball which he uses to walk on everywhere because he likes feeling tall and because of that he has a very good sense of balance he oversleeps a lot but once he wakes up he is everywhere! He likes to hang out with both iggy and jr he has only helped flood the castle with iggy like 4 out of the 8 times iggy flooded it and his favorite color is rainbow if you couldn't tell.

Thoughts on Sunken Cities
It's too late to really dig into Surviving the Abyss or Aquatico, but I like the dichotomy between both design conceits.
The first one understands that if you're going, well, abyssal, then it'll get mighty fucking dark real fucking quick. It'll get cold, too, so you need light, heating and enough material to survive the holy-shit numbers of metric tons of water pushing down on you without getting pancaked. It even posits that nobody would get down there and live there without some really illicit reasons. This isn't so much a Goldfinger send-off as it's a fanwank on the concept of government black sites. As in, it gets grim if you don't really manage stuff competently enough.
Then there's Aquatico, that barely leverages its own post-apoc setting and that very quickly goes for something that's notably more chipper. It's less about building where there's maybe the occasional weirdo octopus and transparent fish and more about building something that goes well with the nice widdle coral reefs and the pretty shallow-water fishies. This one's extremely light on the mechanics and has one or two odd choices that kind of bug me, somehow.
Take your living arrangements, for instance. Everything related to maintenance or production is built on the seabed proper, while everything related to housing goes in an elevated dome that couldn't possibly hold together atop its widdle spire if it wasn't buried under several hundred meters of seawater. Not thousands, seeing as the color palette and visual design both work real hard to suggest that sunlight does get through to you - I hope you like those caustics - and the meta seems more concerned with showering you with abundance even on its hardest setting than it is with getting you to micro-manage a settlement.
On the plus side, Aquatico lets you name your cities. If you don't go for something trite and obvious like New Atlantis or R'lyeh, you're made of sterner stuff than I am.
A common con of both games, though: both of them really want to nail the whole "underwater" aspect of the sound design. The problem is that everything is kind of muffled and you get a constant subtone that sounds like your ears getting clogged. On a long enough timeline (20 minutes for me) that leads to massive tinnitus flare-ups.
So... Ow.

Emisil Goldfinger 2nd Gen 4-in-1 Packer
Hello, I have a Goldfinger 2nd Gen 4-in-1 packer color S01, only worn once. Comes with erection rod. Floating testicles. Incredibly realistic, very easy to clean. It can be worn with harness underwear or only with adhesive. Can be used as an STP and used to play.
Nothing wrong with it, it was just a little shorter than expected. I was trying to replace a 5.5 inch shaft prosthetic and Emisil's shaft is about 4 inches long (with testicles, 5.5 inches).
Bought for $360 (plus tax and shipping, about $400) but I can sell for $250 with free shipping to anyone in the U.S.
