As we know this whole college concept is pretty difficult to maneuver. Especially with all the changes that happen in those four years. It’s all about project management. Setting clear goals prepares you up to knowing what needs to be done helps me stay focused. But what helps most is project management. It's the compass you need to find your way out of stressful situations. Setting clear goals is key. When you know what lies ahead, you're better equipped to stay focused on the path you're paving for yourself. Most days, I strive to break things down into manageable chunks. But you have to make sure the goals are realistic and achievable. It’s mainly a discussion about priorities. Identifying the most crucial tasks and delegating, when necessary, ensures smoother sailing and less overwhelm. Time management is the very basic fundamental piece of the pie. By carving out specific time slots each day, even if it's just 30 minutes or an hour, you’re able to make progress. And celebrate milestones! Every accomplishment, no matter how small, deserves recognition. It keeps the motivation high.
Remember, these kinds of things take time. Stay consistent

My Life as an English Major Student
There will always be a journey in our life. Tertiary education, the last stage of long-lasting studying over different things before taking and passing the board exam to become what we want to be. There are many courses that we could choose but what do we dream about becoming of? A doctor? A lawyer? A counselor? Or a teacher?
To be honest, I've been dreaming of taking a BS in psychology and becoming a psychologist. Why? I love listening, overthinking, and advising. Just kidding. I just really like that course, but of course, we can't have everything we want. I decided to pursue education majoring in English instead, to obtain more opportunities in different fields not just in teaching. So far, I am enjoying it even though it is full of many tasks to accomplish and expenses to pay off. Being an education student and an unproductive person at the same time is hard also because I need to become creative and innovative to survive every semester. There were sleepless nights and afternoons just to review so i can pass the exam and times that we needed to go to school just to attend our subject, even though there were no discussions because it was being observed.
Apart from that, our house is located far from school, where most of the time, my friend and I needed to ride a bus just to go home because it was already late at night and most of the jeepneys going to our town are full. We also have a class on a day where it starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., then I will be home at 10 p.m. It is exhausting, but I need to study hard for my future and for my loved ones. It scares me also how I always need to speak in English when I am in front and reciting in class because I hate making grammatical errors. Since I am not that confident in my speaking skills yet, I often decline the offer of presenting and explaining our group's work in front of others or in an activity contest, such as in IM's creating and brainstorming ideas for a specific topic. Therefore, I tried to talk to some foreigners online just to practice my English but i stopped because of social anxiety. I am fully aware that even though I am already in my third year, I am still not ready to face the upcoming demos. Thankfully, I still have a second semester in my third year to enhance and develop my confidence and skills.
Despite these difficulties that I am facing in college, I am very grateful to my friends who are always helping and cheering me up, to my boyfriend, who is always supporting, driving, and picking me up to school, to my parents, who are working hard to support and meet my needs, and to God who always guide me. Without them, I won't be able to climb far from where I am now. Thus, for me, there will always be struggles and strain in taking a Bachelor of Secondary Education majoring in English or any courses and majors, but to HAVE someone or people who believe in you is all we needed, to have the courage to transcend them.

003 GRADUATION
As I played "Everything I Am" during my senior year of college, I couldn't help but feel a surge of emotions. Saving my first listen of the Graduation album for this occasion made it special. The long nights, hard days, sacrifices, and good times had finally come to fruition, and it felt like everything was worth it.
Of course, I didn't have all the answers or a perfectly laid-out career and life ahead of me, but that didn't matter at that moment. I took a deep breath, looked back at how far I had come, and proudly said to myself, "You did good, kid."
Entering Mason Gross was like stepping into a whole new world, and the growth I experienced here was remarkable. The college experience was about more than just acquiring knowledge; it was about the people I met and the connections we formed. Each of us challenged ourselves, poured our hearts and souls into our passions, and supported one another along the way. Together, we made the most of our time, embracing both the highs and the lows.
. We were everywhere, from hopping from one campus party to another with the late homie Adrian to filming in the Elizabeth City Hall courthouse. It was a time, and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
As for the Hardyboyz of cinema (Paul, Sunny, and myself), we embarked on our final project—a five-minute short film for the annual Campus MovieFest. I couldn't resist participating one more time, even though I had done it thrice before. With an overly complex script and an aim to capture dynamic shots with my friends, we crafted a short film inspired by the likes of The Matrix and Inception, pushing the boundaries of creativity.
My heartfelt gratitude to all those who were part of this journey—the cast and crew who poured their heart and soul into all my silly projects, the collaborators who made it all possible, and everyone who showed up to support me over the years. Your presence and dedication meant and continue to mean the world to me.
This marks the conclusion of the first season of my blog entries, and I want to thank each and every one of you for joining me on this incredible journey. From here, the search continues, and I can't wait to share more adventures, stories, and creative endeavors with all of you. Stay tuned for more!

Thought 21: Cloudy Day
It’s been exactly a year since I graduated, and it seemed fitting to share what my college journey was like. Hope you like it!
One cloudy day in July,
closer comes goodbye.
As I enter uncertain halls,
distant voices became my future calls.
Blue and white were the colors I aspired to be,
but fate knew it was not meant to be.
"Red and gold is what befits you,
there are fights within that you need to subdue."
"Welcome to Freshstart!"
What a calming way to start.
It was what I wanted,
and here I was, thinking it was granted.
But fate had another surprise,
changing my idea of college paradise.
Days, weeks, and months pass,
courses became difficult to surpass.
Fate knew I cannot handle it alone,
it gave me a silver lining that shone.
Technology came in the form of friends,
an unexpected love I thought knew no ends.
Months became years,
it felt nice to hear and feel heartfelt cheers.
Finally! I am halfway done,
but little do I know,
it was where my fights within had begun.
Old fears, old pains came rushing in,
it was getting difficult to fake a grin.
Evil forces me to succumb to temptation,
making me think it will be my only consolation.
Choices made, regrets slowly drowned me,
into an abyss I did not know how to flee.
A glimmer of hope shone at the end,
"Survive me and offer it up to see yourself ascend."
Light became brighter,
burden became lighter.
After shedding of what seemed to be endless tears,
the miracle I thought will never come finally appears.
Walking once again where grass should be,
silhouettes of happiness flashed under my favorite tree.
Passing through what once were halls of uncertainty,
I found myself smiling,
Realizing that all this time,
this university radiated reason and positivity.
On a cloudy day in August,
the day finally came to say goodbye.
As I leave what once were uncertain halls,
distant voices became my future calls,
to a red and golden place that became my home.
