A peek into my studio for #21daysinmyartworld. I work in an old historic building with 20 or so other artists. We call it Dilworth Artisan Station and I’m thrilled to be there, in my little Studio #29. I have enough room for two large easels, my taboret, and a work table. I’m there along with some of Charlotte’s best professional artists. Friday, August 3rd - Jazz N Soul Music First Friday at Ella's featuring a night of smooth and funky jazz, featuring Jazz Munkee! Prepare to hear smooth jazz blended with classic and neo soul anchored by Paul Little on Drums, Felix Anthony on Guitar, and Michael Carter on Bass!

They really take it to another level. Producing moments when musicians and audience are one, feeding off the energy of each other. Don’t miss being part of this fun.

Plus enjoy all of this in one of Charlotte's best venues for jazz, Ella’s Speakeasy. Ella’s in the lower level of the Morehead Tavern, 300 E. Morehead St, Charlotte, NC. The location is right in the historic south end of Uptown. Next door to the Carson St, LYNX light rail stop. There is valet parking on site for this event.

Come early for the best seating. Also, enjoy great food or drinks. Relax early on the patio and afterwards in the Upstairs bar.

Friday, May 4th - Jazz N Soul Music welcomes Angelique and Musical Explosions to Ella's SpeakEasy on First Friday! Angelique Burris is a sultry singer noted for her smooth delivery and impressive vocal range of jazz, soul, gospel, blues and R&B tunes.

The show starts at 9 pm on the lower level of the Morehead Tavern in Ella’s Speakeasy. Great historic music venue; right in the vibrant South End district on the edge of Uptown. Come early enjoy good food and drinks!!! Spend some time lounging on the patio and deck with a skyline view.
