Joel accidentally upsets etho a lot when they're together and Joel always has to be marched over to etho so Joel can apologize. Cleo and Xisuma have agreed that regressing at the same time probably isn't a good idea. Cleo doesn't always realize when her dry teasing is coming off as mean, and Xisuma is a bit oblivious and sensitive and often takes her jokes personally. There's no hard feelings about it when they're both big again, but they just aren't compatible when they're both little.

Cleo, surprisingly, is the caregiver Gem seeks out the most (after Impulse of course) something about them just makes her feel so safe. Cleo thinks it’s sweet.

Cleo has a reputation for being scarier than anything lurking in the dark, and a way of carrying themself with confidence even when nervous or afraid. She isn't really sure how either of those things came about, but it certainly seems to put Gem at ease, at least enough to want to be told stories and looked after and shown armor stand tricks.

Currently having issues with my own asthma so I’m gonna project onto characters.

Gem has asthma that likes to act up when she’s running around, which she does lots when she’s little, but she doesn’t quite notice when an attack is coming on so she has to have a caregiver keep a eye on her when she’s little just in case. Unfortunately attacks still happen But her caregiver’s (Impulse and Cleo) catch them before they get too bad and help her through them. As much as they suck, at least it gives her an excuse for cuddles. It helps that Cleo has asthma too, so she’s good at coaching the little through attacks in the event they get too scary.

Sometimes all you can do is deal with the attacks when they happen. Prevention can be difficult when we're talking about someone who wants to run and play.

Absolutely!

-Cleo feels VERY unqualified to look after Joe. (Insert John Mulaney "it's like leaving a horse to babysit a dog" bit)

-However, Cleo is very protective of Joe. She'll never admit it when they're both big again, but if someone so much as looks at him she's ready for violence.

-Joe does a lot of babbling, as one might expect, and Cleo always responds like he's saying actual words.

-Joe loves being read to, and while Cleo playfully pretends she doesn't like to read to him, she actually loves it.

-Despite feeling unqualified, Cleo is actually perfectly capable of keeping Joe safe and happy.

-Sometimes, when Joe isn't in the mood to babble, Cleo will take over doing the talking. It's a very rare occurrence, regressed or not, but when it does happen Joe listens intently. Even if he doesn't always get exactly what they're saying.

-Joe usually isn't very mobile, so Cleo can usually do her own activities while Joe plays with toys. If they want to, that is. Cleo does enjoy playing with him.

-There's been more than one time where Cleo has forgotten she's not human while regressed, only to get upset when she realized. Joe always does his best to comfort her, even if he doesn't understand why she's upset. She's always been ZombieCleo to him, and he wouldn't have her any other way.

-They're completely inseparable when regressed, whether it's just one or both of them. There's been many occasions when Joe has whined and fussed until someone went to find Cleo for him, and Cleo often spams Joe's DMs until he agrees to let her come bully him.

Cleo tends to be bossy when regressed. She loves to take charge when playing pretend, and will sometimes micromanage the game. When playing something like pirates, she always wants to be the captain. The only exceptions are the quiet littles, like xB. Only then will she relinquish her power and let them be in charge. It’s always worth it for their smile.
