Flash Villain Movie Ideas, Part XXI: Abra Kadabra
Citizen Abra AKA Abra Kadabra (yes, that's his real name. I don't know why) is basically Booster Gold, but treated like a villain. He comes from a time in the far future and traveled back to the past to become a world famous magician using advanced tech to fake his talents. He has been a Rogue a few times, including one notable instance where he tricked the Rogues into sacrificing their souls to a demon in exchange for him gaining actual magical powers.
Origin Movie: He's a possibility, and would introduce the concept of Time Travel early, leading into Impulse, and Reverse Flash, and such. He might even work as an Impulse origin villain, to give time for Inertia to come around.
Sequel Movie: Maybe saving him for here lets us breach the concept of Time Travel while still allowing room to set up Reverse Flash later, maybe a sequel where Impulse shows up pursuing him and has to team up with his grandfather.
Finale Movie: That whole "trading the Rogues' souls to a demon for real magic" just screams Finale material.
Supporting Villain: As a member of the rogues, it makes a semblance of sense. And I guess he'd be supporting to Neron in that demon plot.
Here are my rankings:
Finale Movie: I really want to pursue that plot.
Sequel Movie: Man, I really have no idea how my plot layout is going to go.
Supporting Villain: A given.
Origin Movie: Could work, just a little weird.

12 Free Things to Do in Dubai
Tumblr media
You might believe it will be challenging to travel to Dubai on a budget because it is recognized as a center of modern design, grandeur, and luxury in general—but you can think wrong! There is good news for vacationers on a tight budget: there is a tonne of free activities and attractions in Dubai. Here are 12 of the finest free things to do in Dubai, whether you want to take in the gleaming modern skyscrapers, learn about the emirate's history and culture, or simply walk outside and enjoy nature. One can get emirates visa for Egypt citizens to simply enjoy the things.
1. Visit the Coffee Museum in Dubai
Fans of coffee, raise your hands! The Dubai Coffee Museum is a fascinating location to learn about everything related to coffee, including its history, various foreign methods and flavors, books and videos to investigate, and even ancient coffee pots and other coffee-making equipment. Additionally, the baristas here are knowledgeable about the brews, so feel free to ask them any questions you may have about beans or brewing; if you're interested, they'll be happy to share their knowledge with you.
2. Ride an abra
Tumblr media
Although it's not exactly free, for only $0.30 USD, it might as well be! We're happy that riding an abra is a reasonably priced activity for most people because it's a must-do in Dubai. Get a taste of history by using this, Dubai's customary ferry system, to traverse Dubai Creek (and a convenient form of transportation). To go to the Dubai Old Souk station or the Bur Dubai station, cross the creek at either the Deira Old Souk abra station or the Al Sabkha station. Apply emirates visa for Egypt nationals to get a ride on Abra.
3. Wander through the Al Fahidi historic district
Are you prepared to learn more about Dubai's past and present? Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Al Fahidi Historic District. The Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood has a lot to offer, and most of it is free to view, including historic buildings, tea houses, museums, art exhibits, markets, and more.
4. Or flash-forward to the modern era at Alserkal Avenue
More hipster information than historical? Not to worry. Locals congregate on Dubai's obscure Alserkal Avenue, where there are constant events going on and much of it is free to explore. The area is home to art galleries, pop-up stores, cafes and coffee shops, event centers, and more. Experience modern-day Dubai life while spending the day at Alserkal Avenue.
5. Take a day to explore The Dubai Mall
Tumblr media
If you can resist the over 1,200 stores placed inside this huge mall, then yes, this is completely free. One of the largest shopping centers in the world, the Dubai Mall features a wide variety of stores and eateries as well as an aquarium, a movie theatre, an ice skating rink, a virtual reality park, and more. There not being enough shopping for you? Even if you just want to window shop, the Mall of the Emirates boasts a tonne of entertainment options and retail stores.
6. Visit an authentic souk
Of course, you can also have a genuine Dubai shopping experience at a neighborhood souk if a mall isn't quite your thing. Our favorite souks are the Spice Souk and the Gold Souk. Even if you decide not to make a purchase, a stroll around these traditional markets while window shopping is the ideal opportunity to fully experience Dubai's sights, sounds, and fragrances.
7. Take a free tour of the Bur Dubai Grand Mosque
Are you curious to know more about Dubai's culture? The Grand Mosque, one of Dubai's most recognizable houses of worship, is a good place to start. The tour, which is entirely free, includes a tour of the mosque, a prayer demonstration, an explanation of Islamic principles, refreshments, and more. If you're interested in Islam or Dubai's culture, you should also visit the Jumeirah Mosque. For further details, visit their website, and be sure to dress modestly.
8. Go hiking at Hatta
Tumblr media
One of Dubai's most well-known attractions is Hatta, and it's the ideal location to visit when you need a vacation from the city. Take a bike ride, take in the scenery, go trekking in the foothills of the Rockies, or do something else. Of course, exploring is free, but if you have extra cash, there are adventurous activities like paragliding, horseback riding, and kayaking available.
9. Get a tan
Take your pick from the deserts or the beaches in Dubai; it's simple to accomplish this. Add Kite Beach Dubai and The Beach opposite JBR to your list if you're prepared for a day at the beach (those are our favorites). You have a tonne of options if you're going to the desert: spend money on an overnight desert safari or camp for nothing at Al Qudra. Even though it's only a fast 30-minute drive from the city, you'll feel like you're in the middle of nowhere with the opportunity to explore both lakes and sand dunes.
10. Bask in Dubai’s stunning architecture
Tumblr media
Of course, you may experience Dubai on a budget without leaving the city. Among the top free activities in Dubai? Take a tour of the area to see some of the city's most beautiful buildings and skyscrapers. A must-see is the Burj Khalifa, the highest structure in the entire world, the Burj Al Arab, and the Cayan Tower.
11. Soak in the sunset at the Dubai Marina
Want some instantly captivating views? You only need to consider the Dubai Marina. There are plenty of activities available if you want to spend the afternoon or just go for a fast run around the 5.3-mile boardwalk loop that is surrounded by stores, accommodations, and restaurants. Visit at sunset for the greatest sights, expert advice advised.
12. Watch the flamingos at the Ras Al Khor wildlife sanctuary
Tumblr media
Animal lover? The flamingos steal the show at this nature refuge, which is conveniently located close to the city and is home to thousands of birds, fish, and other animals. Come for some photos for Instagram and stay to discover more about the amazing creatures and distinctive habitats they call home. You can get emirates visa for Egypt passport holders and enjoy in Dubai.

Hello Submas fandom did you know Alakazam is my favorite Pokemon. Anyway this is Nemo. He’s actually my oldest pokemon-related OC and has been a member of my team in literally every game I can get an Abra.
As I’ve said before, I actually love Pokemon ethics conversations and thinking about the implications of sapient Pokemon as second class citizens, and I think it adds a little spice to things if u get my drift. Nemo is Human-socialized and struggles with being treated as an individual with autonomy. he avoids a lot of his species natural behaviors. He can speak and prefers it over telepathic communication.
I headcanon he actually gets hired during the events of PLA. Will probably sketch how Emmet met this rude little shit later. They are friends actually. :>
(the brothers can both have Alakazams who help them through trauma as a treat ok)

Travel Tips for Visiting Dubai for The First Time
Tumblr media
Are you traveling to Dubai as a tourist for the very first time? Let’s explore some travel tips, so that you can get the most out of Dubai during your first time visit in here.
Getting Your Visa
Unless you hold a passport from a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country, you'll need to obtain a visa to enter Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. Dubai visa for US Citizens has a validity of 30 days. You can apply for it online before coming. Be sure to have a printed copy of your visa approval letter before boarding your flight.
The visa process is straightforward but do give yourself enough time to complete the application to avoid last-minute delays. Double-check that your passport meets the validity requirements and that you have adequate blank pages available.
Booking Accommodations
When choosing where to stay, consider proximity to the metro system which makes it easy to explore different neighbourhoods and attractions. Staying somewhere along the Sheikh Zayed Road corridor puts you near many popular sites.
For your first visit, consider staying in Deira or Bur Dubai on the northern side of Dubai Creek. This area offers a fascinating glimpse into old Dubai before the mega-development began. The Al Fahidi Historical District is packed with traditional architecture, souks, and museums.
Packing Tips
What you pack for Dubai depends largely on when you visit. If visiting in summer, pack lightweight, light-coloured clothing along with hats, sunglasses, and high SPF sunscreen. For other months, bring some warmer items for the evenings, but shorts and T-shirts will likely suffice during daytime.
As a conservative Islamic society, Dubai has a dress code requiring shoulders and knees to be covered when exploring mosques and other religious sites. Avoid excessively tight, sheer, or revealing outfits.
Getting Around
Dubai has excellent public transportation including the Dubai Metro, which has stops near most attractions. Taxis are widely available and offer a comfortable way to travel between farther flung neighbourhoods and sites.
For crossing Dubai Creek, you can take an abra (traditional ferry) between Deira and Bur Dubai. If spending time on the beach, the Jumeirah Beach Residence and Dubai Marina areas are best accessed by car or taxi.
Exploring the Neighbourhoods
A great way to begin exploring Dubai is simply walking around the Al Fahidi Historical District to admire the traditional wind tower architecture. From there, stop by the Dubai Museum and Grand Mosque before taking an abra across Dubai Creek.
In Deira, wander through narrow lanes and covered souks bursting with gold, spices, electronics, and textiles. Don't miss the bustling Deira Spice and Gold Souks.
Cross back over the Creek to see the outdoor markets and boutiques of Bur Dubai. Stroll through textile and carpet souks before visiting the historic Al Bastakiya neighborhood. The Dubai Frame's glass observation decks provide excellent views.
Sheikh Zayed Road is Dubai's glittering skyscraper corridor. There's plenty of shopping at Dubai Mall and dining at The Beach JBR entertainment complex. Don't miss the iconic Burj Khalifa, and book tickets in advance to go up to At the Top observation deck.
Getting out on the water is recommended, whether by traditional wooden dhow boat or sleek modern yacht. Many companies offer sightseeing cruises or dinner cruises with live entertainment.
Visiting the Mosques in Dubai
To experience Islamic architecture and culture, devote time to visiting some of Dubai's ornate mosques. Non-Muslims can enter many mosques in Dubai but be sure to dress conservatively.
The Jumeirah Mosque is particularly welcoming to visitors. Free one-hour tours operate daily to share insight into Islamic traditions. Cameras are allowed.
The Iranian Mosque features intricate blue tilework and detailed arches reminiscent of ancient Persia.
Built in 1900, the Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque is one of Dubai's oldest. The intricate carvings and decorations are worth seeing.
The Grand Mosque dwarfs them all and is a key landmark of Bur Dubai. Be sure to see this magnificent structure illuminated at night.
Heading to the Desert
No visit to the UAE is complete without experiencing the desert landscapes. Choose between a Desert Safari with dune bashing, camel rides and barbecue dinners or a serene overnight stay at a luxury desert camp.
Arrange an excursion through a reputable tour company for a smoother, safer experience. Morning tours work best in summer to avoid the punishing daytime heat.
Shopping and Dining
Shopping enthusiasts flock to Dubai for good reason. Enormous malls like Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates house every global brand imaginable. Seek out traditional Emirati handicrafts and souvenirs in the old souks and the Dubai Creek Park markets.
Foodies will find diverse culinary delights. Sample Emirati cuisine like harees (wheat porridge) or machboos (spiced rice). Dig into tender Persian kebabs or fresh Indian curries. Jumeirah Beach Road has a terrific selection of restaurants.
With this handy first-time visitor's guide, you'll be equipped for an amazing introduction to spectacular Dubai!

Ignoring character in our leaders is dangerous
Tumblr media
Abraham Lincoln governed according to a moral code
Character used to matter in our elected officials. It mattered that Nixon was dishonest about his role in the Watergate coverup. It mattered that Gary Hart and John Edwards had extramarital affairs. But then suddenly in 1995, when the person having the extramarital affair was President Clinton, it didn’t matter, at least to Democrats. And so we continued down the slippery slope to 2023, where politicians lie to their constituents, admit that they are liars, and still remain in office. We have gone from a world where allegations that a candidate cheated on a high school exam would lose him votes, to a world where a candidate can openly admit “embellishing” his resume and still keep his seat in Congress. The bar of integrity for public officials gets lower and lower all the time. I am here to say that character still matters. It matters because so much of governing takes place outside the public’s gaze. When politicians make those important decisions behind closed doors I want to be able to count on their character. I want to be able to count on their character not only to influence their decision making, but to guide their candor to the electorate. I want them to be guided by a moral code above the urge to score a win for their party. I want to be able to trust the people I elect to “do the right thing.” In the 2008 campaign, Senator John McCain showed character when he corrected a supporter who said that his opponent was a Muslim. He showed character when he cast the deciding vote to save the Affordable Care Act from his own party’s attempt to overturn it. How did we get to a world where self-professed evangelical Christians back a candidate who they openly admit does not measure up to their moral and ethical principles? I think it started back in the Clinton Administration, at the dawn of the extreme divide that has come to dominate our politics, when Democrats chose “their guy” over their principles. They chose sticking with a flawed President in 1996 over a man of character. And once you lower the bar on character, and choose your candidate by his team jersey rather than the person wearing it, you have made a deal with the devil. Oh sure you may win some things in the short run, but eventually you will lose your soul. And in the second Clinton Administration, we saw a man who was a Democrat in name only. He made immoral cuts to the safety net for our poorest citizens, and then he signed a repeal of the Depression-era legislation that restricted what banks could do. And that eventually led to a financial crisis in 2008. So too during the Trump Administration, Republicans got some things they like such as tax cuts and conservative judges. But while they were getting those things, they were losing their moral compass on foreign policy, deficit spending and the national debt. As Republicans used the label “socialist” to scare voters away from Democratic Party candidates, their President was getting chummy with Communist leader Vladimir Putin, and choosing to believe Putin over the CIA about Russia’s efforts to influence American elections.  And worse still, they were silent while Trump exercised more and more autocratic power like Putin without any checks from a Republican Senate. We have reached a point where character matters so little that a core principle such as the power of a President to make Supreme Court nominations throughout his term depends on who the President is and how close we are to an election. There is no morality here; it’s purely about power and winning. If our public officials had character and a sense of justice, the Republicans would have allowed Garland’s nomination to proceed and the Democrats would have allowed Barrett’s to proceed as well. They would do this not because it gains them political advantage, but because it’s the right thing to do. But it takes character to choose morality over party loyalty. That is what being a patriot is all about. Abraham Lincoln was a great president not just because he freed the slaves and fought to save the Union, but because every action he took as president was out of a sense of morality. He did things like instituting a draft and suspending habeas corpus that made him extremely unpopular. He did them because he thought they were the right thing to do for the country, regardless of the political ramifications for him. He fully expected to be a one-term president. In the words of biographer Jon Meachem, “Lincoln’s motives were moral as well as political—a reminder that our finest presidents are those committed to bringing a flawed nation closer to the light, a mission that requires an understanding that politics divorced from conscience is fatal to the American experiment in liberty under law.” [emphasis added] In a representative democracy such as the United States, we do not get to vote on what the laws will be and how the government will operate. All we get to do is elect lawmakers who we think will act as we would — people who share our values. Character is more determinative of a candidate’s values than their platform or stump speech.  We need to be able to trust them to act according to a predictable moral code. Otherwise, we are just rolling the dice and hoping for the best.

{aldis hodge; cisgender male; he/him} hey isn’t that ABRAHAM "ABRA" GUNNER? the THIRTY-SIX year old HUMAN is known to be INVENTIVE and INVESTIGATIVE. they have been in BOULDER CITY for FOUR MONTHS and always remind me of the click of a flashlight after sneaking inside, the muffled footsteps down linoleum tile, running away as a guard gives chase, and fox mulder jokes at work. will they still believe what they’ve been told all their life?
[ PERSONALITY ]
He is playful and upbeat, trying to be both a good person and a good father. He isn’t sure what he’s doing most days, and sometimes the papers he gives back have a child’s scribble on it - which has gotten him in trouble a time or two.
[ THE PAST ]
Despite being raised by his father, a rear admiral in the US Army, he was mischievous youth who desired to know all the answers. His father’s job was often secretive, he grew up learning all about “security clearance” and the importance of being an upstanding citizen in order to learn the answers. Yet, Abra wanted nothing more than to learn. He applied himself to what he was good at and for a time, he slacked off on what he didn’t like. His father wasn’t going to allow that, and gave his son a firm talking to, telling him that he had to do more, be better, apply himself if he wanted to learn the things the world was hiding from him.
Perhaps Abra wouldn’t have listened if his parents didn’t divorce. His sisters sided with their mother, and Abra sided with his father. He didn’t care that his father was often traveling, having to put work and country over family. Abra adored his father, and he was going to stay with him. As he was then traveling with his father, he learned more about him, began to understand why his father worked so hard as he did.
Abra followed in his father’s footsteps, attending military school and then office academy before going in basic training. After 20 years in the military, having gone to college and furthered himself and got his bachelors, his masters and then his PhD. He applied himself as a robotics engineer, building machinery for the government in R&D, he ultimately had to retire due to a family issue that landed in his lap.
A year before he moved to Boulder City, his mother called in tears. His sister, Rosaline, had died. She left her two year old child without someone who could care for her. His mother couldn’t take care of her, his sister - Iphigenia - lived a child-free life, his father offered to take her, but he was a retired old man. Abra made the decision to take in his niece and legally he is her guardian. At this point, the little girl Valeria - calls him “dad”. Abra moved to Boulder City to be close to his father, who is Valeria’s babysitter on the days when daycare isn’t open. He works at the local community college teaching introductory and mid-level robotics courses, and he also contracts with the local military base when there’s a robotics problem that needs assistance.
[ PRESENT DAY ]
He misses the military and the structure, and yet he knows that he couldn’t have taken care of his niece/daughter. He builds wacky robots that don’t do much in the grand scheme of things - but he loves that he build what doesn’t need to destroy. As time goes on, he finds things that he regrets from his time in the military - what he’s built and what they did in the name of capitalistic advancement.

Why Now Is a Great Time for Crypto Innovation?
SilverLine Crypto News
Is the market contracting a result of Luna’s most recent drop and the falling value of other crypto assets? Over the past few months, the liquidity of the number of lesser-known altcoins has decreased. Additionally, a flight to safety has been observed in the cryptocurrency markets. The cost of Ethereum and Bitcoin reflects this.
Tumblr media
However, Ethereum’s expanding utility in NFTs, stable coins, Defi, etc. is causing its network effects to spread more quickly. It grows quickly but will always be more unstable as a result. Other alternative coins, such as Solana and Chainlink, are gaining popularity and adoption. And the reason is that they are resolving actual issues. Since Ethereum is currently too expensive, game developers will probably not create their games directly on the platform. Solana is not a good option for stable coins because I think it is not yet trustworthy enough in that regard. But it’s suitable for video games. You’ll see the fruits of all the labor and innovation that typically occurs during these downturns in the following three to four years once this bear market has worked its way through the system.
Is it therefore a good moment to innovate and launch new coins or create new services? Absolutely, I say. Being unable to concentrate on pricing makes this the ideal opportunity to develop in the cryptocurrency space. Right now, your only option is to concentrate on value-add. For instance, at Abra, our Abra Capital Management Division developed a token fund and an early-stage equity fund with this objective in mind. The time to invest in early-stage enterprises is now. After receiving a healthy dose of reality, many have come to the realization that they must demonstrate their worth before receiving high valuations for their new enterprises. Since venture and private equity valuations have declined considerably more than crypto private markets, cryptocurrencies are actually a bit late to the party. The Cryptocurrency business will be impacted, though perhaps not as significant as other industries.
Do you observe various dynamics taking place in other nations and areas of the world? Are real-world circumstances influencing the growth of cryptocurrency markets in various nations? It’s obvious that there are two things. The first is that markets with trust issues have seen much-increased interest in cryptocurrencies. Take a look at the adoption rates for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies in various nations. In terms of adoption, the nations where citizens disagree with their government are in the lead. Crypto makes a lot of sense if there is mistrust of centralized authority. The second thing you cannot deny is that other emerging market economies are paying close attention to El Salvador’s huge test, which is still unproven. It’s amazing that over 45 nations gathered in El Salvador to discuss Bitcoin. It implies to the outside world that this might be a route to pervasive acceptance. What may be developing is a split between wealthy individuals holding Bitcoin and underdeveloped nations that are unable to issue a stable currency because no one would trust them to do so and cannot rely on the U.S. dollar as a reserve. Bitcoin has grown in interest.
How can you incorporate all of that while creating a worldwide cryptocurrency company like yours? How can you create unique offerings based on various use cases, even in various nations around the world? We must be realistic about the sources of adoption if we want to operate a long-lasting firm in the bitcoin sector. Globally, there are three camps. Some traders will trade anything that has a high potential for gain and is unpredictable. The second group, which includes early adopters in developing economies, views cryptocurrencies as the digital asset of the future. We’re focusing on the group of affluent investors who bought in early and believe the internet will be useful for business in the future. In the interim, while we wait for the other use cases to catch up, our objective is to grow with that market.
While letting you in on such information, we are also entitled to let you in on the privileged information of the best site that’s ever made to increase our financial range — THE S.P.A.R.C.! This betting site is prepared to pay out in BNB and other cryptocurrencies to people who win and lose bets. SilverLine is formally launching SPARC, a prediction platform in the BNB network. What is important is that SPARC pays and other platforms only observe. Waiting is unnecessary because we can provide all eight. Play right away and let your rewards guide you!

Guide to the best free things to do in Dubai
Tumblr media
Dubai is renowned for its opulent five-star accommodations and big commercial centers. But if you browse long enough, you'll also discover a tonne of fantastic activities that are free! Here is an insider's list of Dubai's top free activities that one can enjoy after applying for an emirates visa for Egypt citizens.
1. Visit Aquaventure Waterpark
Tumblr media
Yes, on your birthday each year, you are entitled to a complimentary admission pass to Aquaventure at the Atlantis, The Palm hotel. You will receive a "Free Aquaventure Waterpark Birthday Offer" voucher if you enter your birthday on this page. This voucher is good for the day of your birthday and the six days after (you can only use it once, of course). One of the finest value-free activities in Dubai, given the price of a standard Aquaventure ticket!
2. Visit Coffee Museum Dubai
Tumblr media
This resembles a hybrid museum, shop, and shrine dedicated to everything coffee! The Coffee Museum Dubai, housed in a villa in the Al Fahidi area, provides a history of coffee as well as an outstanding collection of artifacts, including a 300-year-old coffee pot. Books on coffee, vintage coffee advertisements, and several roasting demonstrations fill the museum with a delicious aroma. The employees can probably answer any queries you have about coffee because they are very knowledgeable about the bean. Entry is free, but we strongly advise leaving without purchasing a cup of coffee from the shop. We guarantee you won't regret it.
3. Ride an abra
Tumblr media
Okay, so it's not really free, but at Dh1 per ride, it's still a great deal! One of the nicest experiences in the city for the money is riding the abra boats at Dubai Creek. You can board one of the small, commuter-filled wooden boats and cruise down the creek while admiring the fantastic view of both the old and new Dubai. The main abra stations are located at the Dubai Gold Souq and the Old Souq of Dubai.
4. Check out the art at AlSerkal Avenue
Tumblr media
Dubai doesn't only have brand-new, gleaming skyscrapers! And if you take the time to go a little further, you'll find that AlSerkal Avenue is home to a sizable portion of an eclectic, diverse cultural scene. You can meander in and out of as many galleries, pop-up stores, or concept spaces as you like in the Al Quoz gallery district for free before stopping for a hot beverage or cold-pressed juice at one of the coffee shops.
5. Go camping
Tumblr media
One of the coolest and most enjoyable free activities in Dubai is camping. Just a few kilometers outside of the city, there are many quiet (and not-so-secluded, if you're not feeling bold!) places to set up tents in the desert. In the summer, when many ex-pats go away, Dubizzle is a terrific place to get amazing discounts on used camping gear. After you apply emirates visa for Egypt nationals then you can avail this amazing activity in Dubai.
6. Hit the beach
Tumblr media
Dubai has some fantastic free, public beaches where you can have a good time without spending any dirhams. Three of the most well-known beaches include JBR Beach, Kite Beach Dubai, and Umm Suqeim Park Beach. Kids can participate in a variety of activities at JBR Beach, and you can spend as much or as little money as you like at the adjacent cafes, stores, and restaurants. Read more about our selections for Dubai's Top 8 Beaches here.
7. See the Ras Al Khor flamingos
Tumblr media
Many of the hundreds of pink flamingos that reside in the water near the intersection of Ras Al Khor Road and the Dubai-Al Ain highway are probably familiar to you, but did you know that you can get a much closer look at them? You can rent a set of binoculars and take refuge in one of the three wooden birding hides in the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary close to the water. The huts are open from 9 am to 4 pm, Saturday through Thursday, and admission is free. It's a fantastic, cost-free activity to perform with kids.
8. Free walking tour of Dubai
Tumblr media
You shouldn't refuse a free walking tour even if you live in Dubai because you never know what fresh things you might discover. This may also be the solution if you have friends or family coming and are feeling a little lethargic. For groups of two to twenty individuals at a time, AiroTour provides free walking tours throughout the city. AiroTour does not charge for the tour, however, if you feel your guide did a good job, please consider leaving a tip.
9. Take a tour of Bur Dubai Grand Mosque
Tumblr media
If you don't want to drive yourself or your guests all the way to Abu Dhabi to see the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which is still spectacular, go to Bur Dubai. One of Dubai's oldest and, some would argue, most authentic neighborhoods offers a free tour of the Grand Mosque. The guides are employed by the Islamic Information Center and are fully informed about both Islam and the mosque. There are many activities besides the mosque, including the textile souk and the Dubai Museum.
10. Go cycling in the desert
Tumblr media
Cycling at Al Qudra's 50km of track is one of the top free things to do in Dubai and something you should cross off your bucket list if you can get your hands on a road bike and helmet (you can rent from Trek Dubai). The crimson desert, the occasional camel, and even an oryx provide stunning scenery, especially at dusk. The very best? It's unpaid. You’ll require an emirates visa for Egypt passport holders if you want to enjoy cycling in the desert.
