Well, a friend in discord shared a pic from Vehicle Voltro and I felt the need to redraw it with the updated designs for the blind twinverse au. So! Here are the ladies. Pissed. Never get on their bad side.
I don't remember the context of this episode/scene, though. I think it had to do with Twyla and the boys fawning over her.
Also! Here's the original screenshot!
Gotta love a classic scene. But also, gotta really love updated looks.
Ko-fi.
Anyway, I hope y'all enjoy this one!
Until next time!
Stubbornly rating Charmed secondary characters as I rewatch.
Aw, man, this episode was so bad.
The bad guys were so unbelievably incompetent. The acting was awful all around. Please be better, Charmed, I'm begging you.
Andy Trudeau. 5/10. He was almost a normal person in this one. Points added for dropping off Prue when he felt she needed to confront her father, no questions asked. It's almost as if he wants me to forget that he's a stalker.
Marshall, Fritz, and Cinda. 1/10. I had to give them 1 point because they bought the house. It couldn't have been cheap. Still, I can't believe these antagonists are all so frakking stupid. Jeremy and Javna were both bad, but this is completely another level of incompetence. It's like you can be a demon or a warlock only if you you pass a stupidity test and you have a death wish.
Victor Bennet. 3/10, mostly because of the general creepiness. I could have accepted the storyline with the father, and I did appreciate the ending of the episode to some degree, but he felt a bit yucky. Just... stay away.
Leo Wyatt. ?/10. I am looking respectfully, and waiting.
Ever since I was a kid, I've really wished they had gone ahead with that spinoff they set up in the second-last episode, about the three super-powered women (Maya the element-shifting Egyptian-esque queen, Cinda the hermit barbarian, and Valerie Storm the ordinary fashion model given wings and magic) who were transported to the present day. That was such a cool idea.
One of my favorite "identity / secret" reveal situations I've ever read in a book series was when the "orphan" protagonist had been kidnapped and the kidnappers were trying to ransom him to this guy he'd only heard of in passing before. And it was a relatively serious scene, but in humorous summary, it went a little like this:
Love my girl Lucinda , I did some extra doodles from bits n pieces of her backstory and some silly. I’ll do her hair journey chart later and what is associated with that style
Btw!! My redesign post’s and my rewrite post are going to be separate so I can have more time to think about the character other than the designs :3
Also if you were wondering who I do ship her with 🙄.. it’s Lo , no further questions teehee ( I just like their dynamics )
I'm working on a Queen of Attolia reread at the moment, and I'm going INSANE over the parts where Eugenides is slowly recuperating. People always mention the pages in Twilight that are just blank except for month labels as a creative portrayal of depression. BUT MAN. The extent to which so much feeling is expressed in prose that doesn't even MENTION feelings... Incredible.
Eugenides sits. And he practices handwriting. And he goes to dinner. And all throughout it's just the most oppressive feeling of emptiness and inner absence. He gets a "he supposed" or "he thought" MAXIMUM every two pages.
This is so impressive to me because when I write I am shouting my character's feelings. I am tapdancing their inner monologue through the streets. I am dropping flyers of their thoughts from airplanes. And I know I'm still not conveying emotion half as effectively as these chapters are.
Okay, continuing on with the idea of Pidge one day ending up on planet Myra, a thought hit. Things happening and Pidge just gets kissed by a bunch of Myrans, even getting her face covered in lipstick. While my initial thought was with them thanking her, @t1koy-roll sparked the idea of it being normal and a casual greeting. And @toasthoneyandstardust helped to spark the change in dialogue for Pidge, pointing it out to be a greeting.
Thank you guys for sparking new thoughts in this chibi's AU loving mind.
Pidge may need to go home and just sleep for the next week. She's used to being a hermit, her social battery can only take so much.
Also, note. Pidge probably isn't so much against being kissed? But rather I'm sure a bunch of Myrans just bombarded her, wanting to hug and kiss the little paladin. Try to survive, Pidgey.
Anyway, I hope y'all enjoy this one!
Until next time.
lowkey obsessed with the fact that Cinda’s new Poppy assistant also has shoulder-length blonde hair, tortoiseshell glasses, and a beige sweater. She still can’t stand working with people who don’t look like her 😅
I've been organizing a writer's retreat since 2018 and this was our first year back since the pandemic. Here's a video of what a house full of writers (at work) looks like. 😁
