Chris Tomlin Launches “Stories Of Worship Tour” Tonight

As one of the most successful Christian touring artists today, Grammy winner Chris Tomlin launches his “Stories Of Worship Tour” tonight. Chris will lead the attendees in a night that is centered around reminding people through worship and storytelling, that no matter where you are in your journey God is faithful, He is present, and He is here for you. Tickets for the tour are available atchristomlin.com. “This tour is unlike anything I have done before and I can’t think of better partners to be joining us than Jockey Being Family Foundation and For Others,” shared Chris. “Every night will be filled with worship, laughter, making memories, and sharing stories about God’s continued faithfulness. So, to have the opportunity to shine a light on the foster care and adoption crisis through stories is something I am incredibly grateful for.” Jockey and its charitable foundation, Jockey Being Family, are partnering with For Others for the tour as advocates for kids and families affected by foster care and adoption.

Founded by Chris and Lauren Tomlin in 2019, For Others operates in the belief that all individuals deserve a safe and secure home. For Others strives to prevent vulnerable children from being placed into the foster care system and offers aid and services to help restore the lives of those already in the system. To do this, For Others focuses on creating relational permanency through reunification, adoption, and mentorship. So far, For Others has helped deliver over $40 million to those affected by foster care in the United States. In 2023, For Others will help to prevent more than 90,000 children from being placed into the foster care system; support more than 30,000 families who are currently in the foster care space through counseling and wrap-around care; work to connect 800-1,000 young adults who are aging out of the foster care system be connected to mentoring families; and help to fund nearly 1,000 adoptions. “This is so much more than a regular concert tour,” says David Nasser, President of For Others. “Vulnerable children in each of the 27 cities we visit will benefit for years to come. Jesus is our bridge, connecting us to Abba

When God created the world and made Adam and Eve, He lived among them and His Creation was perfect. Once they disobeyed Him, sin was born. It broke the perfection God intended from the start. It separated us from Him.

But He never ever stopped being their Father who loves and created them (and us).

Adam and Eve separated us from God but Jesus brings us back to God.

As a bridge closes the gap between two places, Jesus and His Sacrifice close the gap between us and God, connecting us to Him.

Jesus willingly came down from Heaven and was born of the Virgin Mary as a man—The Son of Man—to connect and relate to us. He was born human and grew up in a loving family and experienced life as we do. Day to day life in our world is something He already knew but now we can relate to Him. He connects us to Himself.

“But as many, as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12-13 NASB)

“For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.” (John 1:16 NASB)

We know He fully understands what we feel and why we feel the way we do. We believe He came down from Heaven to save us from a harsh world. He endured the harshest punishment, which we deserved. He was sinless but bore all our sins. God sent Him to take our place and unite us to Himself.

To forgive; to save us.

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14)

“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)

He is our Way to the Father. As God’s One and Only Son He opens His Arms to welcome us as God’s Children. We can now call on GOD as Abba, Father as Jesus did when He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane…

“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” (Mark 14:36)

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” (John 14:6)

Jesus is the most perfect example of God’s Agape Love for us.
