[Annie (オリキャラ) 設定] -- Annie Character Designer -- I create Annie when I'm still a student. That is dark history character actually.

At the same time, I extremely love Saga Frontier. So the original must be Saga Frontier Annie. Not classmate.

I draw her depands on the sprite. Afterall she either look not liked to Saga Frontier Annie. The only similar things are: - Swordman - Green wearing which is similar to Gender bender Heero Yuy - Short hair

For the reason why I still keep Chinese name (her yuri friend OC Krain don't keep Chinese name)

aNNie > 丹丹 The shape looks similar. And the new family name is the same reason. NN > M. So the family would be letter M.

But I think I don't often show her Chinese name Yung Dan Dan (容丹丹)

Talk about the reason why all these character become dark history.

All these characters are base on stupid story. It basically liked this : We are the CHOSEN ONE! We are the justice braver 正義の味方! We would protect the world after school! Come on Devil! Let's fight!

...

Krain would be the Goku position. And the almost final chapter. the Annie would say "Kakarot! You are the number one!"

If Ryan is sporty-nerdy, I think Shane is maybe a chaotic(demon) hipster-nerd. Like, his soft love of history and his childlike joy, mixed with him demanding that demons and ghosts show themselves somehow by ripping his spine out or something, idk I just think he's an interesting mix of a person too lol. I've never seen a more softly chaotic person and it's wild

I mean, right? Usually skeptic/hipster nerdy guys especially with that much chaotic energy, exude a great deal of general hostility but he’s just so chill, so affable and So intelligent. I think a lot of it is he doesn’t have that much a thirst to prove anything about himself; he simple is who he is and that is a remarkable quality in a human being. 

Not to mention, he gets excited about stories in, like you mentioned, such a childlike way. I imagine that’s part of what makes him such a cinephile and a love for history is he just loves to sit and listen to or read about great tales with loads of twists and a lot of hilariously clever characters. I can imagine him being so much fun to speak to about your favourite book or that he’d be rife with a lot of sudden trivia. 

He’s a smart man too. You can see how quick like a whip some of his responses are, but can I just mention how he isn’t the sort who adopts intelligence like some guise of superiority, he simple knows what he knows and in terms of sociopolitical leanings, he gets objective and detailed about how certain systems are wrong and he encourages free thinking as well as not allowing any childborn prejudices and preconceived notions alter his ability to accept and adapt to new knowledge. He’s also oh my god, this is gonna sound so weird but I am absolutely attracted to people who can just admit it when they’re wrong without fuss and Shane is one of those people. 

So much about Shane reminds me of a book character because so much of himself is just laid out like ‘here we are; this is me as I was written and that’s all you’ll get and that’s ok.” He has such a deep and abundant supply of sarcasm on hand too and his delivery of it is so dry that sometimes I wonder if people don’t often misunderstand him. 

His voice too, though; his strange but interesting unique cadence; the way he speaks with lilting kind of sing-song enunciations and funny exclamatory tones. I’m thinking right now of how just reading a fan’s name in one of the more recent q+a’s he saw the name “theresa” and just went, “Theresa!?” with such affection and incredulity. lol that’s obviously not my name but I just felt such a rush of feeling for him. 

Can we talk about his vocabulary a bit too? He can go anywhere between sounding like he was plopped down here from the 1940′s and is having a fantastic time absorbing every bit of neo cultural dadaism in his speech to a seasoned millenial like myself exhausted with simple swears and time-tested colloquialisms and straight-facedly uttering a word like ‘Baller.’

And finally, the level to which he will go to make the people around him and himself laugh. He is a vent for comedy and he’s so damn funny. If anyone else conceived of a trollish epic like the hot daga in the simple effort toward being a little shit who Commits to his bit, it wouldn’t be half as good because he generates actual story; lampshades plotholes and contrived literary devices at the same time as providing the whole thing with a strong array and variety of voices. 

And, last of all, he Sings. Good lord, can he sing! I still vibe with Plupple Honeymoon and pray for the day to come when he puts up the Hot Daga soundtrack on spotify. 

What a guy! I support and love a man named Shane Madej!

Veritas Life Center Participates in Biola’s 2018 Advent Project

Veritas Life Center’s Joe Gorra contributed two devotionals to Biola University’s 2018 Advent Project, a project of the Center for Christianity, Culture and the Arts (CCCA). The projects are not merely text-based reflections, but an attempt to encourage people to engage scripture with the visual arts, poetry, music and a devotional reflection. The different art forms evoke different responses - affective and intellectual - even if not directly related to a particular scripture in the devotional.

For Gorra’s contribution, he reflected on the following topics and scripture passages, which are highly relevant to life in Christ far beyond the Advent and Christmas season:

“Intelligently Designed for One Body”: Scripture: Ephesians 4:1-7, Galatians 3:26, 28-29. 

Dear follower of the Way: What are the core facts of your existence? Go beyond mere appearances or satisfaction with eyeball-sight. De-clutter the 'senses of self’ that collect around ‘who’ and ‘whose’ are you. Attend to the invisible yet consequential, spiritual reality of your life.

The Apostle Paul has a way of crystalizing what is important: Jesus’ people are union-ized into a worldwide body; a fitted-for-belonging communion of life-giving-life that flows from the very Spirit of God (Eph. 4:1). This is not merely about participating in a weekly congregational gathering, although those rhythm are important for the gathering-and-sent health of this dynamic organism called, ‘body of Christ.’ Paul’s apostolic vision-casting in Ephesians 4 is not about getting more people to merely ‘go to church’; he doesn’t suffer from that failure of imagination nor is he satisfied with merely ‘getting’ people to do something for the sake of being churchy.

And so here we are in 2019, learning to “live worthily of the calling with which [we] have been called,” at the heart of the world that we already live in yet from the body’s Center or Head, Christ Jesus our Lord. What wisdom and wonder from the mind of Christ is to be witnessed, gained, stewarded, and spoken into the world in which we dwell as body of Christ?

What does Christ’s “reconciling all things” ministry [2 Cor. 5:18-20; Eph. 2:16; Col. 1:20-21] signal for the world in which you embody as church . . . for the world of commerce and enterprise, of design and aesthetics, of education, of family, of local networks of community, of politics, of law, of even religion? “Wise Men Pursue a Lowly Mighty King”: Scripture: Matthew 2:7-12. Here’s an excerpt:

The adoration of the wise men comes as a profound theopolitical act right in the middle of a high-stakes drama concerning “Who really is the ‘king of the Jews’?” Or, to cast it in a more theological light, “Who really is the Good Shepherd to rightly rule the people of God into the fulfillment of Yahweh’s promises?” [cf. vs. 6 prophesy from Micah 5:2].

More starkly put, can you imagine grand wizards surrendering their minds, let alone their reputations, their gravitas, their affluence . . . in pursuit of a childborn ‘king of the Jews’?? Enter: the wise men.

Matthew reports that upon ‘seeing’ the child with Mary his mother, the wise [men] throw themselves to the ground as a sign of devotion, reverence, adoration . . . the kind reserved for beings of high-ranking status, whether divine or human; and in that moment, they commit political heresy relative to Herod and yet now know more than the ‘insider’ establishment ‘knowers.’ Their adoration overflows with “gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh” (vs. 11). So stunning and wondrous. Here in this one verse, we have the climax of ‘general’ and ‘special’ revelation colluding together to summon joyously abounding adoration. Truly amazing. In addition to the Advent Project, Gorra wrote for CCCA’s 2018 Lent Project, with a reflection on the “Public Reading of Scripture.” According to Nila Osline, communications coordinator for CCCA’s Advent and Lent projects, since the inception of these projects in 2013, the readership has greatly expanded to well over 32,000 people. According to Gorra, the CCCA Lent and Advent projects “are often delightful collusions of diverse art forms happening around scripture,” says Gorra. 

I experience a vivid, central image with these projects: poets, artists, musicians, singers, writers all gathered around an open scripture, enacting their craft while scenes from everyday, ordinary life, flash-in-and-out as a background presence. A gentle, persuasive and searching wind swerves throughout the company of this many seen by faith. Where am I? What am I experiencing? It’s surely more than a mere web experience.
